2022 Top Arizona Senior Living Communities

Whether you’re looking for a senior living community in a large city like Phoenix, or something more postcard worthy in Arizona’s beautiful desert towns, the state has a range of options for seniors. Arizona is a wonderful place to spend your elder years, but making this transition can be overwhelming. What are the questions you should be asking of a provider? How do you compare across different senior living communities?

We understand how difficult it can be to start a search, so we’ve done the initial work for you. Our list of the top 15 Arizona senior living communities is a perfect place to start. If for some reason you do not find a provider in your area, the senior living directory is a valued resource to guide your search. An elder living consultant is also available at your convenience, and you can contact us at any time.

VA Benefits can Help Pay for an Arizona Senior Living Community
The VA offers a host of benefits to eligible wartime veterans and their spouses. One of them is the Aid and Attendance benefit. For those seniors with low incomes who require additional financing to pay for a senior living community, the Aid and Attendance benefit helps to pay for daily living activity assistance (feeding, toileting, dressing, etc.). Local Arizona city VA offices or websites can provide additional information.

Ranking The Best Senior Living Facilities in Arizona

The good news is there are plenty of senior living facilities to choose from in Arizona. Some states are not as fortunate, but Arizona truly has a wealth of options. Choosing the top 15 providers was a challenge, and we first looked up user reviews on established sites like Facebook and Google. We then compared those reviews with those left on our site and assigned the communities a ranking of 1 to 5. Lastly, we consulted the Arizona Department of Health and removed all providers with outstanding citations or violations.

Arizona elder living communities start at $1,100 per month and average roughly $2,300. Prices will increase depending on the level of care. Skilled nursing facilities and memory care can be thousands of dollars more per month. The facilities that cost in the average $2,300 range provide meals, basic amenities, and services.

The residents are happy with his management and engagement with residents and staff. Nicky goes above and beyond and Martine and Pancho are the best facility managers. Always smiling and helping others. I could go on and on. Our parents deserve the best, especially in their late years.PS Thank you La Sienna for keeping our loved ones safe during Covid. villa ocotillo assisted living scottsdale az

What residents and loved ones have to say about Villa Ocotillo Assisted Living:

My Mom moved into Villa Ocotillo assisted living in 2014. She later moved to the memory care unit in 2018. I cannot say enough about the caring staff at this facility. Mom made her wishes clear, she wanted to stay where she was at rather than be in the same city as family. Of course this made it challenging for us however the VO staff communicated often and would answer any questions we had. The memory care unit staff had a lot of significant challenges dealing with Mom and they found solutions or asked for our assistance when they needed it. Any planned or unannounced visit she was found to be clean, happy and well cared for.

What residents and loved ones have to say about The Terraces of Phoenix:

I have been a resident at the Terraces of Phoenix since August of 2015 which by local standards makes me a long-time resident and while nothing is perfect, and 100% of what one looks for is never attainable, certainly 80 to 85% is truly outstanding. I moved here knowing my wife who was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease would ultimately need the kind and level of hands-on care I could no longer provide. At the time of her death, I said my move here along with our transition from New Jersey were the smartest moves we had made during our 60+ year marriage. I found a loving and caring home expanding the size of my family several times over. We are blessed to have Jaime Roberts at the helm whose incredible leadership brought us safely through the horrific COVID pandemic. She and her wonderful team of caring, talented, and knowledgeable staff left no stone unturned in bringing us to the light at the end of the tunnel. For me, the Terraces brought me a home that is safe, happy and provides peace of mind to me and to my children and grandchildren.
