I work with MBK in Portland and was happy to see that the Sky Ridge community was in Gilbert. Ally was an amazing host and is clear that her and the management team believe in providing an environment that aging adults can thrive. Thank you Ally!

I previously had my husband in a different facility that did not work out well. I am very pleased with Sky Ridge. The staff is very caring and very attentive to his needs.
October 2024
My family moved my dad into sky ridge memory care(CFL) a few months ago and it has been the best decision. I had originally and stubbornly planned on keeping my dad at my house and caring for him there but after a few scary escapes I finally conceded that we needed a more secure setting with round the clock care. Amy gave my mom and I a tour and answered all our questions. Sky ridge definitely stood out against the many others we had seen. For them it goes beyond just basic care, they want to maintain the dignity of those in memory care even in the most vulnerable of circumstances. I was pleasantly surprised and comforted by the way my dad easily transitioned into his new place. The caretakers treat my dad and us like family. I visit mostly in the afternoons and see Becca, Sonia, Alma, Elizabeth, Trevor and Maria often, and they are always so welcoming and often give me updates on how dad has been doing that day. Debbie is usually leading an activity, one day when my dad first moved in Debbie pulled me aside just to ask what sort of things my dad was interested in. She really wanted to get to know him to better engage him in activities. This move has given my family peace of mind that he is safe and truly cared for. The executive director Kyle is amazing, he is always easily reachable and frequents the memory care wing many times throughout the day to check in. You couldn't ask for a better staff, Ida is at the front desk ready to welcome you as soon as you walk in the door. I know how emotional it is making the decision to place a family member in a care facility and all the guilt and worry that comes with it. But the people at sky ridge really showed that they cared during one of the most difficult times of my life. I'm very grateful for all of them and so happy that we chose this home for dad.

As a Healthcare Administrator of an agency that has a mutual patient with Sky Ridge, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the care Becca and her team provide. I noticed in the last poor review left, a poster who I believe to be a disgruntled former employee of ours criticize both Elizabeth and Alma. This same individual, who is a Certified Nursing Assistant was asked not to come back to a different care home we work with recently due to conflicting personalities. In our agency's weekly experience with Becca and her team, we find them to be very helpful, easy to work with and genuinely caring for their community. This building as a whole has a positive atmosphere with fantastic caregivers and a caring leadership team.

My dad lives in Memory Care at Sky Ridge. We were scared to move him to a facility because my family is very hands on and we thought dad would hate it anywhere but home. Boy, were we wrong! Sky Ridge is phenomenal! The staff are absolutely incredible. So attentive, compassionaten, and empathetic. You can see they truly love the residents here. Sonia, Carmen, Maria, Alma, Elizabeth, Mikayla, Kenzie, and Debbie make us feel so welcomed and loved. To us, they are all extended family at this point! The management team is just as caring. Becca is so helpful and compassionate. She has been so honest with my family about her own journey through dementia when she took care of her own father. There's never a phone call or question that goes unanswered. She even gave us her private cell and told us to call any time…even if it's 2am! She has went above and beyond for my family many times. Trevor in maintenance spends so much time in Memory Care hanging out with residents or just giving them hugs and plenty of love. Kyle should be proud of the amazing staff he has, as they are top notch! Kyle himself is very hands on and willing to help with anything we need. My dad is so happy here and he truly loves his new home and the activities that are offered to him on a daily basis. Sky Ridge for the win! Keep up the great work, guys! The new carpet and paint looks FABULOUS, by the way!
July 2024
After my mother's surgery, we needed to find the ideal place for her recovery and care. After evaluating eight different options, we chose Sky Ridge, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The staff here is incredibly friendly and always attentive to her needs. It's heartwarming to see my mother actively participating in social events. We had a request where we needed urgent help, and to our surprise, the Executive Director, Kyle, personally stepped in to assist, which was deeply appreciated by our family. A big thank you to everyone at Sky Ridge for their dedicated care, warmth, and support!
April 2024
My friend's Mom has been at the Memory Care for approximately 6 months. I am very impressed at how well Sky Ridge is run - Becca and her staff are very kind and attentive to the needs of the residents. The rooms are bright and spacious, the food is good and the residents are given the opportunity to be a part of many interesting activities. I am very happy that my friend's Mom has such a wonderful new home.

I am a nurse for hospice, I have been seeing patients that needed our service in this building for over a year now. It makes my job much easier when you have the great staff that Sky Ridge has. On the assisted living side, the staff is consistent and aware of the current status of their patients. They are able to give me informative updates and follow orders and instructions well. Communication with Daniella (AL manager) and her staff ( Maria, Jonathon, Jose, Yesenia ) is great. Always available and willing to work with myself, the patient and their family to ensure the best outcome for the patient. The memory care side staff are so special. They have great relationships with the patients and their loved ones. They know their patients and how to best care for them. If you have ever worked in memory care you know that no two patients are alike and patients have their good and bad days. I find that Becca (MC manager) and her staff ( Sonia, Elizabeth, Maria, Alma) are very patient, kind and caring with their patients. They are knowledgeable of their needs and understanding of the special care they require. My patients are always smiling and happy when I see them. They are involved in engaging activities that are inventive and different. I have also noticed that not just the memory care staff but all staff ( Kyle- Ed, Jared-DON, Ida- reception, Trevor- maintenance, Kenzie- activities) are familiar and frequently socialize and converse with a lot of patients. They know their names and what they like. They even love and hug on them like they are their own. Staff is respectful with patients and families, it helps me so much when the patient and family are happy with where they are living during a very difficult time. I look forward continuing my great working relationship with Sky Ridge.
March 2024
NOT COHESIVE FOR HIGH NEEDS RISEIDENTS/CHANGING NEEDS/FEEDING NEEDS/BATHING NEEDS. Good for low needs residents or independent living. Cost:fair Care: not great. This is my most honest/detailed review for other families based on my/family/friends observations and experience within memory care or "cfl-connections for life" for my mom. Pros: clean facility. If you're loved one isn't in memory care, it's probably better than most. Cons: lack of care for high needs residents. Lack of professionalism from some employees. Not all but some, mainly male employees within this unit. My mom was here for roughly a week with family/friends coming in everyday. Multiple times a day, different times of day. Prior to this facility my mom danced, and showed overall joy to her environment. She was expressive. while she is not verbal you can tell when she's happy and when she's not. Within the first week of her being here she had stopped dancing, started hanging her head and her mood was overall not good. On multiple occasions she was not clean, smelled bad and was just overall not cared for. I was told she could wander at night but was told by an employee he has to stand at her door to keep her in bed. I pulled her out asap, i didnt say anything for fear of retaliation as she was already being neglected. After i took her out and expressed my many reasons why, I was told it was a learning curve. But when you sit with the sales team, or RNs then do the "assesment" of the resident and go over care needs etc for literally an hour+, I fail to see where the learning curve is with basic needs like bathing, feeding etc. I see where the curve is personality wise but not when basic needs arent being met. I was told they had a difficult time showering my mom. So……… they didnt do it? Isnt that what theyre trained for as caregivers how to handle that? We witnessed one male employee exiting my mom's restroom in her apartment zipping his fly. He used her restroom and didn't flush, didn't put the lid down, how much of that did she witness? Did she see his privates? Do they not have facilities for employees? I was grossed out and Very confused. Another employee (male) wheeled a woman who was distressed into her dark room and left her there. No light. No TV. No distraction. Nothing. I know there's protocols for residents not disturbing other residents but leaving her alone like that in a dark room seemed just wrong. I had gone at dinner time, multiple times this first week and she was not being fed, she was alone in her room 30 mins past the start of dinner, and I can't help but wonder if I didn't bring her food and feed her myself would she have been missed and not fed? I observed the caregivers not knowing who had been fed, who hasn't, guessing on who had and who hadnt eaten. A basic need. I know caregivers don't have easy jobs by any means but I was extremely disappointed with the cost vs the care received. Probably short staffed or staffed with a few caregivers who don't care. There's definitely worse places but I was extremely disappointed with this facility. Great sales team though.

We love Sky Ridge I can't say enough great things about this facility! Our dad is in memory care here! The staff is top notch and they have treated my dad as family not a number! He is so well loved here! Rooms are so spacious! Picking out facilities for our parents is so hard! But I toured many and I recommend this place 110%!
December 2023
I had an opportunity to tour Sky Ridge last week, and while I was there I seen one of your employees interaction with the residents & I was impressed. So I had to ask her what her name was. She said Lisa Wilson, I told her what a coincidence my last name was Wilson also. I said it must be the name, so I just wanted to give a shout out & let the powers that be know what I witnessed.

Sky Ridge Assistant Living is a remarkable senior living community that provides an exceptional environment for its residents. From the moment you step through its doors, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that exudes care, compassion, and a true sense of home. One of the shining stars at Sky Ridge Assistant Living is Lisa Wilson, an exceptional caregiver who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of the residents. Lisa's kind and caring nature is evident from the moment you meet her, and her genuine smile brightens the day of everyone she encounters. Whether it's assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support, or simply lending an ear for a friendly chat, Lisa's dedication to the residents is truly commendable.
November 2023
Lisa Wilson has nothing but love for her residents. Sky Ridge is extremely lucky to have her on their team. We used to work with each other at another community and all I can say is everywhere she goes she leaves a whole lot of happy. Definitely worth more than 5 Stars.

I recently moved my father into this facility. Sky Ridge came highly recommended by a friend. I in turn, highly recommend this place also! All the employees are helpful and friendly. The other residents seem to really enjoy it here and my father is making a lot of new friends! It's never an easy decision to make, but I think my dad loves his new Sky Ridge family! Special shout out to Trevor, super maintenance guy! He helped us set up my dad's television set. He's always around to lend a hand and even pops in to visit the residents! You can tell Trevor and the other employees truly love their jobs. Feels like family when you visit!

This is the second assisted living community that my mother has been a part of and it is by far the best. The staff is very caring and loving to my mom. The admin people are approachable and always return my calls or emails. I stop in at all different times and I always notice the staff working hard and engaging the residents. The food is very good and they even have BBQs from time to time. My mom always smells clean and is dressed nicely. I often find her at happy hour singing songs. I highly recommend Sky Ridge.

December 2022
When it came time for me to find a care facility for my husband, my daughter and I toured several facilities. As soon as we walked into Sky Ridge, we felt that this is where Bill could feel at home. The common areas are open and bright and the individual rooms have suffient space. We were given a tour of the facility and information about the memory care that would be provided for Bill. The food menu looked great and the residents would be encouraged to participate in various activities. We loved learning about the the mission and philosophy of Sky Ridge MBK. The staff is warm, welcoming and friendly. They are quick to learn about each resident to know what their interests are and what their needs will be. It is nice to see that the management team doesn't just sit behind their desks but they take time to interact with the residents. The management team also keeps the families in mind by inviting them to activities and support groups. I am know that if something were to happen, the competent staff will immediately take care of his needs. I feel that Bill is in the right place. If one is looking for a place for their loved one, I would highly recommend Sky Ridge MBK.

As a professional who makes a living referring to senior living facilities, I have to be very particular about the communities that I represent and refer for the families I work with. Quite honestly, a couple of years ago, Mariposa Point of Gilbert had some service failures and issues around care that were concerning. Those days are in the rearview mirror and there has been a significant upgrade in care for the families I represent who are currently placed at Mariposa Point. Particularly, the director of sales, Veronica Guzman offers a wonderful experience for families. She is bright, exceptionally friendly and has an attitude that I refer to as the can-do spirit.
March 2021

I am an employee at Mariposa Point of Gilbert, being in the senior living world for the past 14 years has given me an example of the what communities should be like. Mariposa Point has really gone above and beyond for our residents, specially with this Pandemic that we are living thorough. I want to write this review to show appreciation to the team that enriches our seniors lives daily. Our care team- you rock, our leadership team for standing side by side the rest of our team and being 100 percent hands on!!
August 2020
Mariposa Point of Gilbert is a hidden gem in the East Valley. I am extremely excited to have been given the opportunity to work for such an amazing Community. Our residents and their families are the best. Our staff embodies team work makes the dream work. The Leadership team an staff work side by side on a day to day basis , to ensure the resident stay safe and are well taken care of during this Pandemic. I would definitely recommend this Assisted Living Community to any one looking for Senior placement or looking for a great rewarding employment opportunity.
June 2020
My mom has lived at Mariposa Point of Gilbert since July 2017. Although there has been a high turnover with management, employees (I believe its an industry thing) they always seem to find incredible people! Pre-COVID-19 they had activities from 10:00 a.m. until lunch and then after lunch and into the afternoon. Activities range from fitness to arts and crafts to BINGO and other games. Theyve hired entertainment to come in for sing-a-longs, they celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and do a lot with the elementary students. They dress up for Halloween and have family dinners for special occasions. They watch movies in the media room and have popcorn. I could just go on and on! Everything is optional and the resident can do anything or nothing. Each week there is a bus trip to go to WalMart, Target, Sprouts, Dollar Tree but again, you only go if you want to. There are just so many things to keep a resident happy and engaged that you just cant go wrong if youve got a family member who needs assisted living. Im not familiar with the memory care side, yet, but they too have their own calendar of events. They serve 3 meals a day and if, for some reason, the resident doesnt care for the food, or just wants a hamburger, they have a whole side menu the resident can order from. The dining room is set up so that the residents are waited on. Their orders are taken like in a restaurant and then the food is delivered. Please consider Mariposa Point of Gilbert if youve got a loved one looking for a senior home, you wont regret it!
May 2020
My 90+ year old mother has been a resident since 12, 2018. There has been turnover in staff which is to be expected in this industry but I have found all staff both past and present to be caring and I am grateful for all that they do for my mom and the other residents. It has been extremely difficult lately due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has prevented loved ones from visiting. The center has gone out of their way to come up with ways to entertain the residents (dance party, drive-by parade by loved ones, etc) and I am extremely grateful for this. The center has done what is necessary to keep the residents safe from the pandemic.
February 2020
Mariposa Point of Gilbert is a wonderful place. When I first walked in, you could tell it was a warm and caring atmosphere. The residents are always out and about, doing some kind of activity. Happy Hour is the most exciting. The residents are well taken care of and the staff are all super friendly. You can see it as soon as you walk in. I am always greeted with a smile and the relationships the staff have built with the residents is amazing.
October 2017
All I can say is if you are looking for Assisted Living, Mariposa of Surprise is the only place you should consider.
October 2017
I drove from San Diego to attend their Grand Opening! I was fortunate to meet the majority of staff and everyone stepped up to ensure families and residents had a great time! The community is bright, open and yet intimate enough to easily find your way around! It was apparent immediately the team members are passionate and love what they do!
March 2017
Beautiful new community - they didnt leave anything out. Cant wait to move in my client.
