My grandmother recently moved in and she is eating for the first time again, she is smiling and her room is clean. Her CNA’s are extremely attentive, the RN’s are qualified and the admissions was easy and stress free. The executive director and the director of nursing stopped by and personally introduced themselves, making it feel very homely and safe. This place is a class act.

My mom stayed here for 4 nights after a recent hospital stay. The building is older, although I think they may be renovating it. Her room was very warm the whole time and they didn't/couldn't adjust the temperature. I ended up bringing her a small fan to try to help. The nursing staff is kind, but many of them seem to be a bit incompetent. She's on oxygen, and needs to wear a bipap at night. The nurses that were there for the first two nights didn't know how to use it, and even when I tried to show one of them, she shook her head and was unwilling to try. She didn't get her meds until the evening of the second day she was there, and the schedule for giving meds was inconsistent. The physical therapist she saw was wonderful. The food was just OK, but she didn't really get to choose anything from a menu. One woman came around on Sunday and took her order for Monday, but the rest of the time she just got whatever they gave her. I tried calling the front desk to arrange transportation for a doctor's appointment, but the woman said to call back later. When I did, I left a voicemail, but nobody ever got back to me. I ended up taking the day off to take her myself. I was able to get her discharged after 4 nights because I just didn't feel confident that her needs were being met there. When I arrived to pick her up, several people rushed in to get her to sign some documents that were supposed to have been signed upon her arrival. Looking at older reviews, I think that this place was probably great in the past, but the current management could benefit from tightening up some things with staffing/training.

I wouldn’t rate this place in a minute!!!! I was treated very badly when I was a resident there. I have to say [name removed] Was the worst person to deal with. She actually kicked me out for my voice being loud. Now if anything that is the worst excuse by far. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to live under her.

While visiting a friend, I observed a visually clean facility where she had a private room with her own climate controls and she did not seem distressed or unhappy about being there. She made only one complaint and it was about the food. That's about all I can share as it was a short visit. Thank you

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE DIABETIC. THEY HAVE -0-, NOTHING SUGAR FREE. example one of many: to drink other than water, they only have different flavors of 85% sugar water with some fruit flavors. They erroneously & illegally mis label this as Juice Federal Regulations disagree. I think it is misleading This is a B- / C+ FACILITY overall. Which is good. But the ignorance around Sugar/ Carbohydrates/ fiber and nutrition in general is friggin scary. So I asked for double protein, and received two dinner rolls instead. This type of reaction is both hilarious(except I'm living it) and typical. Nurses well trained. Work hard. Clean facility overall. In my 3week experience, When I ask for help via the call light, 60,% of the time a response is under 12 minutes sometimes 120 seconds. 40% of the time it is inconsistent and staff reacts to the request for help in 20 to 50;minutes. I am not ambulatory and although mentally independent, I require assistance to move around. Physical Therapy is a solid "A" Attitude overall is good. People genuinely care Such is my experience. A decent place overall. Ok to send family member BUT NOT IF THEY ARE DIABETIC. They have a CASH ONLY Bistro/restaurant next door But ... Sigh .... No one ever mentioned that to get good nutrition, you need to buy your own (decent prices) and it must be only cash. So load up on cash or have family member in town to bring you weekly cash for food. Oh .... Yep .... The phone to the Bistro has been out of order all 3 weeks Good Luck in your search. Lower your expectations to a "C" and they will exceed the expectation most of the time

I have so much to say about this facility. I'm very impressed with this facility as well as the healthcare workers. And thanks to front desk workers, activities people, all the PT and OT people, the Maintenace crew, the janitors and the cafeteria. I appreciate all the different meals they came up with. 5 stars to all of you. Being here for 2 months, I can not say one bad thing about Springdale. I kept communications open and any concerns I had or my partner, these problems were taken care of. All our families are living out of AZ and Springdale is our family. My partner will be here until she goes to her home, where no more pain will hurt her. The facility has much love and caring - I had bad days and they were there to comfort me. Janice made sure I had water and was a great sport answering my call light. She is a hard worker and I give her 5 stars. All the nursing were great too. I give them 5 stars. I will be giving Springdale 5 stars. Everyone deserves a thank you from me and Addie. so Thank You! Bless all of you and keep doing the best you can do. Wife admitted for pt & Ot after heart operation. Staff was extremely proficient in all areas. She dealt with a lot of anxiety while in the hospital, but made great strides while at Springdale. Elizabeth was her night nurse, and I couldn't help but think if I ever needed medical attention, I would pray for someone as efficient as Elizabeth. Kudos to Springdale at every level of care. Thank you.

Single rooms with shared bathrooms, which is abnormal in comparison to most other skilled nursing facilities but much appreciated. Great caregivers who answer call lights very promptly. I've been told the food is pretty good too

If it wasn't for POOR CASE MANAGEMENT, aka Charlotte, I may have left five stars. Majority of staff was fantastic. But again, BEWARE if Charlotte handles your case ..........good luck

I must say so far I'm very impressed with the facility as well as the health care workers they employ. I was really sceptical at first sending my dad to another skilled nursing rehab after his second go around in the hospital from the poor care he got at Montecito. Springdale employees have put my fears to rest and I know my dad is getting the care he needs and deserves. I visit my dad everyday and I love the feeling I get when I walk through the door. It's such a homey feeling. Everyone is so nice you can't help but feel like family. It's always so clean and smells fresh and I love the fact that throughout the facility it's all decorated for Christmas. My dad has taken a liking to a few of the girls that care for him.. they get his sense of humor and joke around with him. Thank you for taking such good care of my dad. I'd also like to add that within the week he's been there he is now walking with assistance and a walker and that's huge after being told by the first facility that he'd never walk again. I'm eternally grateful for everything you've done for my dad

The staff is caring which is the most important thing to me. The previous administrator was very responsive but I cannot comment on the new one. As long as the facility is well staffed with good people I will assume it has decent management.

My dad has been at Springdale for a few years now. Independent living transitioned into advanced care. Gidget, Stephanie, Amanda, Abby, everyone has been so sweet and supportive and very accommodating through a very difficult transition into losing independence. The patience and care of staff has made me feel like my dad has additional family taking care of him in the way I would if I could dedicate to it. Except they know what they're doing and I'd just be fumbling through it. I highly recommend Springdale to everyone I talk to looking for 55+ communities for themselves or their parents that will help them transition smoothly as care needs increase over a life. Looking forward to continuing a partnership with Springdale!

My husband had been rehabing at another facilitiy and came down with COVID. He was transferred to the COVID isolation ward for 10 days, then went to their rehab unit to finish his rehab. Springdale Village is a dated facility but don’t late that scare you off. He had excellent care from his nurse Janice, and I was put at ease with the staff mainly Robin and Norma and especially Lisa Coletta. They were prompt in answering my questions and emails and I knew my husband was in great hands. I can’t thank the staff enough for all the excellent care he was given.

I have visited Sringdale Village several times to bring Holy Communion to Catholic residents. The residents seem happy, the rooms are bright and cheery, and some residents are involved in therapy and activities. The facility is clean and smells fresh. I enjoy visiting Springdale Village.
