Delighted to see this place closed. We moved mom a week into lock-down and she cried and cried (she was NOT a crier). She appeared to always been "asleep" when I tried calling. I suspect she was overly medicated because there was not adequate staff. The night we left mom, the movie that was set up in the common space was on a perpetual loop of pre-show film; and no remote in site. It took over half hour to track someone down; and they did not know where the remote was kept or operated. Mom's anniversay ring "disappeared" as did another resident's wedding, engagement and anniversary rings at the same time - later recovered at a pawn shop with footage showing ring was brought in by one of the staff. THis was all very well documented on the news. When I asked the director if there were other incidences of disappearances she said "not that I am aware of". They left an elderly man outside in 100"degree heat and he had to be rushed to the hospital. Mom had bruises that represented fingers on her arms. When asked they never said. She declined so rapidly at this place. I will probably be haunted forever that we left our scared, vulnerable mother at this horrible place.

Moved my mother-in-law in a little over 2 weeks ago. Got a phone call that this place was closing and we had 30 days. It's a shame because in the short time she was there, she came out of her shell. 5 stars for staff, 1 for owners not telling staff of what might happen.

We moved mom in 11 months ago, the transition from home to The Canyons was seamless. Sherri was an absolute gem to work with, she was so patient with the family as we had a ton of questions. She took the time to answer all of our questions, and made us feel part of The Canyons Family. Mom has thrived and is living her best life! Thank you for all that you do for mom and the other residents.

I’m very impressed with the way the culinary staff takes every culture background of residents to make them feel at home. They ask you for special recipes that your love ones use to make for the family and share them with the community. It’s like they never left home with the comfort of their favorite foods.

Such a BEAUTIFUL community with outstanding staff and management! Everyone is a team player from the executive director to housekeeping. I have never seen residents cared for so much, they go above and beyond to provide the up most care for your loved ones. If I could give it 10 stars ⭐ I would.

I want to give a shout out to Tiffany, the Admin Manager at The Canyons of Stone Oak. She was the kindest when answering the phone when I called to connect with my Grandma, she helped her talk to me. So for that I am forever grateful. I live far away and my relationship with my grandma is so important. Thank you again Canyons of Stone Oak for having such great staff for all connections with loved ones during COVID-19.

Very nice community! Alma who is the Life Engagement Manager is a natural! Seeing all of her activities she does with the residents looks so fun! One of the best places of employment I ever had the chance to be a part of! I love working with my fellow care staff, and management does a miraculous job at everything they do! I’ve never been more comfortable at a place of business than I am at the Canyons of Stone Oak. Nothing makes my day more than being able to care for all my residents and give them the love that I would to my own family members. Memory care is not always easy, but when you maintain a positive relationship with staff and families, it will always be bright day for everyone, especially at the Canyons. We all work 110% diligently to keep your loved one safe, thriving and loved!

Navigating through the process of memory care was very foreign to me. Sherry was amazing and knowledgable. She knew when to listen to our families concerns and helped to set our minds at ease with this decision. The community is lovely and I know we made the right decision for our family.

At the Canyons of Stone oaks, they take a holistic approach on senior care. They do everything specifically to the resident wants and needs. Their DOH focus on individual well-being and wellness for the resident so they can live in harmony and to their fullest. I want to thank all staff at Canyons of Stone Oak. I was very sad and nervous walking in not knowing what I need to do for my mom. They welcomed me with such big smiles, the Executive Director, Amanda took time out of her day and sat with me and answered many of my questions and eased my mind on this decision I needed to make. The virtual tour was very personal and all the staff were very safe and having a fun time singing. Mom is looking forward to her move in next week!

In January 2020 I started volunteering at The Canyons of Stone Oak Memory Care. I truly love helping the wonderful residents with activities and just sitting and talking with them. The staff are caring and the Life Engagement Manager is simply the best! Working with her and the other volunteers and staff has been an educational and rewarding experience for me. Getting to know some family members is also a blessing. I haven't been able to volunteer since COVID but I keep in touch and pray for the sweet people who live there.

The incredible Management and Staff have watched over my Dad since July 2018. Alzheimer's has a terrible grip on him. I just pray when this COVID-19 is lifted he will remember us.

The staff members at Canyons of Stone Oak Memory Care are amazing... They call all residents (and family members) by name and give lots of love throughout each day. The facility is clean, well maintained and their calendar is full of a variety of activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. I really love the layout of Canyons of Stone Oak. It looks and feels more like a beautiful home than a care facility. We were not excited to have to find long term care for our mother who is dealing with Alzheimer’s. However, this facility feels like she is staying with family more than being in a care facility. Thank you Canyons of Stone Oak Memory Care for all you do! Love y’all! And thanks for taking such good care of our Mom and all the others! ❤️❤️❤️
