I love all the social things like coffee and lunch. I like the security of the complex. I also appreciate the weekly van trips to get groceries, etc.

Overall it's a good place. Very little cleaning in common areas and old carpet/flooring in most apartments. While getting my uncle settled recently I saw the same trash items remaining on the floor of lobby for 4days and the same LV flyer strewn on ground in front of the building even today. Obviously no one sweeps or cleans common areas or entryway which is bothersome, but we just remind my Tio to wash his hands and try to limit going outside of his apartment. Neighbors are nice and friendly. One lady in office is especially helpful.

I had a wonderful friend who lived there years ago (Bea Hernandez, God bless her, she passed away). Visited a new friend there recently and looks like they have renovated and spruced things up. Nice living for retired seniors on a limited budget!

I've lived at CVA for 15 months and love it here. The apartments overlook a beautifully landscaped courtyard The complex is quiet, the residents & staff are nice & friendly & they serve a good hot lunch M-F (except holidays) for $1.50 per day. They also allow pets under 25#. Coffee is served M-F in the community room at 7:30am. I live in a one bedroom it is small & it's an OK size for one person. They also have two bedroom and handicapped apartments.

One of the nicest assisted living facilities I've visited in Sanantonio.Saff makes accommodations to please their residents and treat visitors as they've known you FOREVER like family.Much better than Madison Estates on Fredricksburg

I have visited my retired piano teacher at these apartments several times. She seems to be happy living there and has someone come in to help her clean up once a week. I believe she's been living there several years. Her grown children are going to relocate her because her medical needs are changing but she said she doesn't want to move because she likes it there.
