I wrote a review about Avendelle a year ago because my dad lives there, he has lived there for three years now and is as happy and content as ever. . Now my mom lives there as well so I get to say more good things about this wonderful home. My mom had to move into Avendelle at Merrimen parkway in the middle of the ice storm in February 2021 which caused so many power failures all over the state. Terry and his staff were nothing less than heroic in moving her in and helping her feel safe at that very difficult time. I have nothing but good things to say about the caregivers, the administration and the house itself. I believe it is probably the highest quality assisted living facility in the whole country. Everything runs smoothly and calmly. The house is always clean and neat no matter what time I visit. The caregivers are the most kind, patient and genuinely caring people I have ever run across in this type of work. Every effort is made to make my parents feel safe and at home. I guess the best thing I can say about Avendelle is that I hope they are still around whenever I am at an age when I need this kind of care. My rating for Avendelle is 10 stars. My most hearfelt thanks to everyone at Avendelle for making this such a special place for elderly people in need of tender loving care and extra help.

We love Avendelle on Merriman Park. My mother has lived there for four years. We live in the same neighborhood so this is very convenient for me. The attendants that work there are wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I have always felt my mother was safe and happy.

Great owners that listen and respond to all your needs. The staff are so loving and caring for your love ones. The staff also treats all clients with love and compassion. The dignity and respect that is given not only to the clients but to the families is just heartwarming. So glad my sister found this place!

My father has been living at Avendelle assisted living Merriman Parkway for almost 2 years. I have only the very highest regard for the staff and owners of this facility. My father is always in good spirits when I see him. He is clean and well cared for. Although the staff offer many exercises and activities he has the choice to participate or not as he wishes.. His favorite activity is reading which he does usually at the dining room table where he can keep an eye on everyone. The staff talk with him and joke with him. He is made to feel very much at home. Good nutritious meals are home cooked by the staff with each residents personal diet in mind. Help is always available. The home itself is on a very pretty street in a lovely quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. There is a gazebo in back where by dad likes to sit and watch the birds and squirrels. My dads room is quiet and spacious with a bathroom shared by one other resident. His clothes are always clean and folded in the dresser or hung up in the closet. The home and gardens are both well maintained and always clean. The staff are the kindest and most caring people I have ever met in this type of work. They are there for my dads every need and have accommodated every single one of our requests for his care. There are always at least 2 people on staff so everyone can get the attention they need.I cannot say enough good things about these people. Finding the right place for my dad to live has been heartbreaking for my brother and I am thankful every day that we found Avendelle. All of the members of the staff and the administration from the top to the bottom work hard to make the residents lives comfortable and happy. It gives me a tremendous and much needed peace of mind to know that my dad is in such good hands.

This is a wonderful place for my mother-in-law. The staff is so good about a schedule for her meds and helping her with daily activities. She has a beautiful room, and the house is always tidy and neat. So glad to have a place for her where we know she is getting great care!
