Very nice and clean. Everyone was very friendly. Food served the day we visited was good and tasty. My mother is moving in this January.

I am extremely happy that my grandpa has found a fantastic life and friends at the El Dorado. There are many activities and things to do. The one thing that I would say negatively about the El Dorado is my grandpa often complains about the food (taste, portions, and options). When he first moved in, he raved about the chef, but now often goes hungry or spends money eating out because the food is so horrible. One night they even served cold mac and cheese on a hot dog bun! For the amount that is paid to stay there, the food should be top quality.

A very nice facility. We have visited my wifes mother here several times and have always been impressed by the staff and services. Management truly cares about the people who live there and is shows. Would definitely recommend The El Dorado to anyone looking for an Independent Living facility.

The El Dorado is Richardsons affordable, all inclusive community for seniors who no longer want to manage a home. The Management team has been in place for some time, the staff has an average of 10+ years tenure, The Residents say the place is ALIVE . My take is that the pictures in the halls are old, but with some interior re-decorating~ they can make this place more homey. Really enjoy the welcoming people there.

The El Dorado is a beautiful community. They have gorgeous grounds, lots of flowers and greenery with rocking chairs out front to watch all the birds, or sit out there and have casual conversation with your neighbors. The food is also really good. They have 3 sit down, hot meals that are cooked by their chef. The hairdresser there is also really good!! Her prices are great and she is very caring, friendly, and accommodating. She even came and got me one time when I forgot my appointment! They have lots to do at the El Dorado, with lots of live performances and birthday celebrations and the like. I truly couldnt be happier here...its turned into my home. Thank you, El Dorado...!!

My Mother has been living at the El Dorado for almost 2 months now. The staff are very friendly and from the beginning, did what they could to make her feel comfortable. The have lots of activities and it seems to be a very positive environment for the most part. The rooms are very nice and the grounds are gorgeous. The food however, is not very good at all and from what I have heard from other Residents the quality has diminished. I think that this facility could do a lot better with the quality of food and the preparation. We visited 2 other Holiday retirement properties and the food was much better than this one. Otherwise its been a pleasant experience

Sensational Hotel & Casino! The service is impeccable, the suite is awesome, the place is upscale and the employees work with pride and class. Ive been to all the big named hotels in Shreveport and Boisser City, and El Dorado is hands down the best!

Upon walking in, the facility is bright and airy. In the 4 years that she has lived there, the food quality has suffered greatly and some of the management team does not seem sympathetic to the needs of their clients. They seem to prey on the fact that they are elderly and keep a lot of things to themselves rather than voice their suggestions, complaints. We are thinking of relocating but mothers apt is nice with access to the outside. Something not featured in other retirement communities that are located nearby.
