I am beyond impressed with a Place for Mom. They found me the perfect place for my 91-year-old parents – the Preston of the Park cities. A Place for Mom was unbelievably helpful to someone like myself who was navigating this for the first time. Their attention to detail, their communication, their efforts, and their compassion made this process so incredibly simple for me. Finding the Preston of the Park cities was a dream come true. This is the most incredible community filled with love and attentiveness. I love everything about this community and my parents are so incredibly happy. Julie, who was my main sales contact at the Preston, was literally one of the most incredible human beings I’ve come across. She was incredibly efficient, caring, and so helpful during my somewhat numerous complex request. The Preston is senior living at its finest. My mother is a resident there and she is getting the best care at the Preston. Everyone is so nice and willing to help. Annette and Frank at the concierge desk are always there to greet you with a smile. Cynde showed us all different styles of apartments for my mother. Delondria is the sweetest and I know my mother is in good hands with her and her staff on the 2nd floor. Some of the people on the 2nd floor I would like to give a shout out to are - Shirley, Jasmine, and Keisha. I know there are more I just cannot remember all their names. The food at the Preston is also delicious. I know my mother is in the best place in Dallas and I do not have to worry. Oh, I also need to give a shout out to Sonny and his hospitable staff during happy hour and also Ester and her crew on the 2nd floor for the delicious meals.

Our mother has lived at The Preston of the Park Cities since it first opened six years ago. We could not have asked for better care & support. I wish I knew everyone’s names who helps care for mom, but I live out of town & don’t know them all. Five of our favorite people on staff are Annette at the front desk, Jonathan in food service, Zach in nursing, Rick in activities, & Ethan in concierge. In addition to the beautiful facilities, management has done an amazing job navigating COVID & the every day challenges of this industry.

My Mother was a resident of the memory care unit for 4 years and recently passed away. The ownership and management changed in the last 2 years. Since the new group, Watermark, came in with Chad Hubbard as Executive Director the staff and service improved tremendously. They were responsive and empathetic throughout the experience. This stage of life is hard for all involved, the Preston of the Park Cities helps to make the transition manageable. I walked into this community the other day and I was greeted immediately with a warm smile by not only the staff but from the residents as well. All of the residents seemed so lively and genuinely happy. I wanted to see if this was a place I would consider hosting my parents and from my time being there I can not wait to come back with them. The place is incredibly beautiful and the food smelt amazing. Everyone was so nice and attentive. 10/10 would recommend stopping by and seeing this place for yourself!

I came to make a repair recently and was astonished at how well kept the facility was. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained! Brandon was my point of contact and he was polite, professional, and easy to communicate with. I hope I can retire in a place as nice as this one day! Sensational!

I do not have a family member at The Preston but I did observe one of their employees during one of their outings with some of the residents. I was having lunch with a friend at a local restaurant in Preston Royal when a group of 9 ladies came in along with two workers from The Preston. I could not help but notice the gentleman whose name tag read "Rick". I observed him for about an hour and was totally amazed at his kindness and tenderness to all the ladies. One lady chose not to sit with the group so she sat alone at the next table. Rick cared for each one of the ladies like they were his own mother. He made sure everyone found what they wanted on the menu, checked to be sure their orders were correct, one lady was trying to get her sweater on and he got up, came around the table to her and assisted her. He also went over several times and sat and visited with the lady who chose to sit alone, making sure all her needs were met as well. All during the meal he engaged in conversation with all the ladies to be sure they were enjoying their meal and having a good time. He was totally amazing! True character of a great employee is shown when they do kind and good things for others when their employer is not looking, or in this case, not even in the building. Should I ever have need of The Preston, I hope Rick will still be working there. His actions were the best advertisement for The Preston. Congratulations Rick for a job well done.

To future families considering Harbor Chase of the Park Cities (they later changed their name to The Preston because it was such a disaster and they needed a fresh start), I encourage you to solicit unbiased reviews, not those of employees and their relatives. My contact info is widely available on the internet, and I welcome a phone call and/or email from interested families. It breaks my heart what my family has gone through despite the outrageous expense that we thought was going to equal competent and compassionate treatment.

I've been looking at options for my grandparents, as they need increased levels of care, but we don't want anything that looks or "feels" like the stereotypical senior living facilities do. After touring The Preston, I'm confident this is NOT a typical senior living facility, in the best of ways! The staff are warm and friendly, there are more cultural event options than what I've seen elsewhere, the other residents I met were interesting and seemed in good spirits overall, the place itself is beautiful and appears to be kept in pristine condition, and the amenities seem top notch. I'm definitely keeping The Preston at the top of our list!

I want to say a bit about THE PRESTON OF THE PARK CITIES! But if you can’t understand what I’m saying, then there is no reason not to visit the Preston first or soon after. If you wait too long you may be upset with yourself! This is from a person who has had time to do his research! I feel everyone I’ve met there are part of a family. I have experienced some very nice times there and noticed some genuine good people! In other words, The Preston understand they have competition but I feel should continue their mission as number one! Because, if they are not number one, they will be, I bet cha!

Our experience at The Preston of the Park Cities has been exceptional. Beginning with the moment I walked in to visit (without an appointment). Cindy, the Sales Director dropped everything and didn’t hesitate to take me on a tour and begin answering my questions. Chad, the Executive Director immediately came out and introduced himself and joined our meeting continuing to fill in any questions and info I needed from him. Chad is young and stays very on top of the senior living industry changing and updating as needed at The Preston. In addition, you will see him in the public spaces ALL the time visiting with residents and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Not only does Chad know all the residents by name, the entire front office staff does as well and you will also see them out of their offices visiting with residents or even partaking in a competitive game of dominoes with a resident. I met Lana, the Move In coordinator on my second visit and she just added to my impressive opinion of those that work and take of The Preston. She always has a smile on her face and continues to make the residents laugh with her repartee with them. She was incredibly helpful with the move in and held my hand the entire time. A shout out to Rhonda, the Resident Care Director for seeing “the Forest for the trees”. (She knows). The Preston is beautifully and warmly decorated making it feel like a home for your loved ones. The food is delicious and I eat there often! It’s truly a special place with very special people running the show and taking exquisite care of their residents, your family and loved ones!

The Preston in Dallas is a very wonderful place with many things to offer. My only concern is the building is big and their are many blind spots. A resident can easily walk out either through the front door or via the garage as it is too open.

I met some friendly residents and asked how they liked living at The Preston. They all said they loved it. I met with Rhonda who was very knowledgeable about all my medical needs and concerns. Throughout the tour, everyone was friendly and seemed to really care about the people who lived there and knew them by name. That seems important to me because they get to know everyone who lives in their community. I would highly recommend The Preston.

Such a beautiful facility... The Memory Care Manager,..as well as the Nurses & Care Partners take great care of the residents... Also...the always upbeat and energetic activity specialist has their day full of activities...not to mention the awesome field trips..whether to the Zoo..Movies or Arboretum (just to mention a few)...The residents are engaged with whatever interactive tasks they may be participating in for the day...I wouldn't mind becoming a resident here myself when I grow up(if need be)...
