My uncle stayed at Parsons House while he received hospice care for terminal lung cancer. Our case was unusual, to say the least, but the staff at Parsons House remained not only accommodating, but genuinely supportive and concerned for his care. While my uncle could have afforded a fancier assisted living location, we chose this location because of the people, the serenity of his room, and the food. More than anything, my uncle loved looking out his windows at the trees and eating home the cooked meals. I felt comfortable leaving him in their care as I live on the east coast and could not always be with him. Management was always responsive; I cannot speak highly enough of Joyce, Erica and Lynn, and their staff. Certainly, Parsons House does not offer chandeliers, but what it does offer is human connection and compassion which, in my and my uncles opinion, is the most important at the end of one’s life. Thank you, Parsons House.

I moved my handicap father into Parsons 4 years ago after my mother passed. It has been an adjustment but he’s quite happy there now. Staff is the exceptional thing at Parsons. It’s clear they truly care about their residents. Feel like Dad is taken care of which means the world to me

My 83 year old mom has been at Parsons House for two years now and we both absolutely love it! The staff are so caring and personable, and they know both me and my mom on a first name basis, plus go out of their way to be accommodating to my mom’s health issues and needs. After going through the wringer of being in one bad facility after another, we were so lucky to find a wonderful place like Parsons House!!

This is one of the most CARING PLACES for assisted living for your loved one. . My mom was in assisted living elsewhere years ago, I got the best for her- but many things were lacking. When my deaf, now disabled, and recently widowed brother needed care, we were recommended by a hospice social worker to try Parson’s. The place is kindness and care personified. There are many activities, the food is great, they have great family events, a newsletter to keep those who live far away (and close) informed, attentive and PATIENT care, a nurse practitioner who visits, a mobile dentist who visits, and I am EVER SO GRATEFUL to ALL here. NO OTHER PLACE would try so hard to accommodate a person born deaf. They had education for the staff on sign language and try their best to care for him and have gone out of their way to accommodate him - which is so very, very hard in an isolated quiet world. There are even 2 more residents there that are deaf now. And all are happy and helped just as the other residents are with fun, games, things to do and comfortable, caring surroundings. LOL- in the other place my brother was at, he complained about the food often, here- he can’t WAIT-to get more! But the important thing is all staff are PATIENT, KIND, truly DO CARE, available (and not understaffed like many places!), and loving to to my sweet disabled brother.. I am very grateful we found this place.

My folks have been in Parsons House for over 6 months now and I appreciate the staff so much. Parson's house is a small boutique assisted living and the staff not only knows the residents, but also the families. It is a very warm environment and I am thankful to be able to call/text and they immediately know who I am and who my folks are, and have since the moment my folks moved in. It's been a great fit for us.

I’ve had my loved one in Parsons House Preston Hollow for a year now, and things have only gotten better and better during his stay. I think that a great experience originates from the management, and Parsons House has a terrific executive director. She sets a tone and example of family, of kindness, and of quality that you can feel throughout the entire staff. Is any place perfect? No. But Parsons House really puts itself out there as a facility that is actively striving and succeeding at being the best it can possibly be. Through great management they are constantly working to improve, and to never rest on their laurels. Staff is friendly, competent, loving, with kind and helpful attitudes. They truly care about the residents. And the size of Parsons House is perfect “ it allows a flexibility that quickly solves problems without the red tape that can accompany larger facilities. I can’t imagine ever finding a better place to have my loved one, and I highly recommend Parsons House.

We have been at Parsons House Preston Hollow with my mom for well over a year and are very pleased . Our priority is the care and safety of our mother.Here the care staff is a competent,caring and responsive and do what they can to make all feel like family.The leadership team ,under the guidance of Joyce Miller, communicates regularly with resident families through a Family Council, frequent email communications and ad hoc one on one meetings. They listen and , if appropriate they act. In addition to the regularly scheduled activities for the residents they host a monthly themed dinner , brunch or buffet for families with delicious food ,,entertainment, and fun!!! It is done with a loving and caring heart from Lynn Clark and is very well received from all of us !!! This is ,in our opinion , a wonderful place for our mom B and D Cooke

I can’t say enough about this place. We put our father in memory care. Here in Dallas. They have been so accommodating, professional and created an incredible home for the elderly. I have experience with this type of care from my mom and other friends and have had terribly criminal like encounters. This place shines above the rest for elderly care. They have a great learning, caring and growing environment. My dad has been attended to medically, physically and socially at a high level of care and dignity. All staff have been kind, considerate and not one attitude of burnout or know it all. They want to know our dad, what his specific needs are, solve any problems that arise and provide a home of comfort for those in their last stages of difficult care. Thank you!

My dad and I looked at several Assisted Living facilities for him and we both thought Parsons House would be a great fit. It is like a warm and inviting home- with no institutional feel whatsoever. The grounds are kept perfect and are lovely for my dad to walk about. His room is spacious and kept pristine and fresh by his care team. He moved in a month before Covid and we, like everyone else with a loved on in Assisted Living, were so very worried. We had great communication with him and the staff and the residents were kept occupied and loved while the world was shut down. The meals are prepared by a great chef- he even bakes goodies with the fresh eggs from Parsons own chicken coop! The entire staff truly cares about their residents and have helped me understand the aging process with my dad. There are several other men residents that my dad can pal around with- rare in some of the places we visited. My dad has the option to join in a variety of daily exercises and fun activities led by a super enthusiastic activity director. I would highly recommend looking at Parsons House for your mom or dad! My dad needed very little help when he first moved in but as he turned 91 recently he has started using more care level and If he ever needed Memory Care- they have a lovely cottage on the property that would be ideal. Give it a look and know this is a perfect place for your loved one.

My husband and I recently moved my father from his home in East TX to the Parson’s House, and it has been a great experience overall. We’ve worked with Holly on all the details and logistics and she’s been a lifesaver! Holly and all the staff at Parson’s have been so personable and helpful, and has made the experience and move very easy for us!

This is a God send for my Dad and our family. Parson House take incredible care of my Dad in so many ways. The staff is family and makes each resident feel the same. Since there are only about 30 residents it feels like home!

Mom has been a resident at Parsons House for one year. Everyone at Parsons House has been professional, welcoming, understanding, helpful, accommodating, and patient. Mom's caregivers are wonderful, treating Mom very considerately, even in the most difficult situations. The food is good and the kitchen and dining staff are very accommodating, special needs and special requests are seen to promptly . The medical staff does a great job of staying on top of medications and caring for occasional special needs. Even though Parsons House is small, compared to many other assisted living facilities in the area, there are plenty of activities and families are encouraged to participate. The residents' rooms, communal areas, and grounds are always well maintained. Mom’s great grandchildren love the chickens and the fresh eggs are available for purchase! Compared to other assisted living facilities in which Mom has spent time, Parsons House has been our favorite.

I took a tour and had an informational meeting a few weeks ago at Parsons House Preston Hollow Assisted Living community. Even though my loved one decided to not relocate to Texas, but chose an assisted living in their home state, I cannot say enough about the warm feel of the facility and hospitable staff at Parsons House. The front desk staff was welcoming and the nursing and activities staff were positive and encouraging to their residents. The food looked delicious and the staff enjoyed the community restaurant too, an indicator of tasty cuisine! The facility was nicely decorated. Sarah, my informational contact at Parsons House, was also very helpful and answered all of my questions regarding their facility amenities. I would highly recommend Parsons House to be considered in your assisted living search.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience we had when Mom lived in the Parsons House Preston Hollow memory care facility. The loving care of the staff and nurses at The Gardens Memory Care gave us comfort and confidence at all times. Mom had a negative experience at a different facility, but once she moved to Parsons House, she was home. The chef only prepares fresh, wholesome food and the staff always called with any concern and were always kind and caring. PHPH was the place closest to being at home that my mother could have possibly had. The number of rooms is limited and the number of residents to care staff is low. Parsons House saved Mom and Dad's relationship and made her sunset years as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend Parsons House Preston Hollow, especially their Memory Care facility. Thank you, Parsons House.
