My mother in law recently moved here. Very nice place. They have an option to serve 3 meals a day in a cafeteria on site. They have different size apartments and cottages and packages with and without meals. They have a beauty salon and a library. They have crafts and events. Great place for senior living.

I have toured the facility and it’s a very nice place. Tristen is a great guy and helping me to navigate through the ins and outs of transition. The residents are very welcoming, friendly and engaged with each other. I think that this is my next home.

I am an 80 yr old single female and have lived here 4 years. It is the PERFECT place for retirement living as your monthly rent covers ALL expenses such as rent, utilities, 3 meals each day, bus drop off for doctor appointments/Kroger/Walmart, etc., apartment cleaning, washer/dryer available for use on each floor, several pre-planned parties, etc. Many residents to visit with daily! AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, The new General Manager is FANTASTIC and will graciously listen to you and work with you to fix any issue you may have. I strongly encourage you to consider West Fork Village as your permanent retirement home!

Worst place i have lived! I got bitten by spiders constantly. Their was always 2-3 inches of dust everywhere. I tried to keep the dust away but it didn't ever work. Their a/c system was broken alot. My dogs & I were sick almost all the time. In that main building: nasty soiled carpet on the floor with stains. The chairs were dirty & peeling because they are so old. The food is worse than military food I ate and the portions were always small. You could never go back for seconds. The van will only go 5 miles from Westfork. People would soil the carpet with their dogs and themselves. It always smelled bad everywhere. The current managers attitude was, "well old people just come here to die because they can't afford anywhere else." Roosters & chickens run loose from backyard of neighbors. Alot of stray cats running around because some residents there think cats should run wild. The electricity would go out and take a long time to return. One time is was out, in the heat of summer, for 13 hrs. Right after I moved in, people were trying to break into my place. It was being used as a drug house. Their was a drug riddled building in the yard until I insisted management remove it. More than once, people would show up & try to break in with a key that didn't work. Once they heard my dogs barking, they left. Don't put your loved one here, you will regret it!

I moved here a month ago and totally love this place. Staff is VERY respectful and friendly. Food is delicious and preplanned for the week. Rooms are a little small for what you pay, but the amenities more than make up for that. Love this place and is my forever last home.

Meals, both portions and quality, have deteriorated greatly. I realize "Bidenomics" has some to do with that. Frequent use of spices to disguise poorer quality make them inedible due to chemical burning from cayenne, or serious heart burn and reflux from black pepper, and they aren't often labeled on the menu, so an alternative can be requested. Noisy neighbor is permitted to continue disruptive behaviors, which I understand, from other residents has been a chronic problem with the individual in question, since before I moved here, despite 15 months of trying to get it stopped, especially during the late evening to early morning hours, after I tried every way I could for a year, to deal with and accommodate to the noise! Other noise in the hallways or the dining room are confined to the daytime hours.

Went to visit this place. They had such a amazing rental pricing for seniors. They had good plans for meals too if they are unable to cook at home, it can be done for them at economical pricing. A must visit this place if want to have peaceful and friendly environment.

Hot water off x 3 days. Not acceptable. This place is filled with seniors. Service and services have gone down consistently while the rent has gone up, since the start of the pandemic. Going to have to find a new home for our mother.

REFERENCE RECENTLY WIDOWED, 85. FEMALE. THE FACILITY IS EXCELLANT. THE EMPLOYEES ENJOY USING SENIORS AS A FORM OF CHEAP ENTERTAINMENT. THEY TREAT YOU WITH DIRESPECT, THEY ENTTER YOUR ROOMS AND MOVE THINGS AROUND TO HARRASS YOU. THEY HIDE ITEMS. SOMEONE STEALS PERSONAL BELONGINGS LIKE NICE BOOTS, JEWELRY. YOU LEAVE YOUR PURSE ON THE CHAIR IN LUNCH ROOM GET UP TO GET WATER AND IT IS STOLEN. COMPLAIN TO MANAGER AND HE SAYS YOU ARE SENILE. WHEN YOU HAD ENOUGH AND MOVE OUT THEY TELL THE MOVERS THEY CANNOT USE THE ELEVATOR TO MOVE FURNITURE FROM THE THIRD FLOOR. THEY CAN MOVE THINGS UP BUT CAN NOT MOVE THEM DOWN.MY PRAYER FOR YOU IS THAT HEAVENLY FATHER NOT ALLOW YOUR SENIOR FAMILY MEMBERS BE TREATED THE WAY YOU CHOSE TO TREAT MINE. TOM YOUNG

My brother, Bob, is in assisted living at a facility named West Fork Village in Irving, Texas. The essential staff are actually living there in unoccupied rooms to protect the residents from the virus. This is another excellent example of the sacrifices that people are making to save vulnerable people like my brother from harm. That has to be a huge sacrifice for them. This location is a hidden gem among retirement communities. We only had a couple weeks experience with the Assisted Living side of the facility, but the Independent Living side is absolutely excellent. My aunt only got to live there for a little less than a year before passing away, but she loved it there. The residents were very friendly and so were the staff. They really made the place feel like home. There were even members of the staff that came and attended my aunt's funeral. Josh and some of the other staff feel like family. I ate lunch and dinner with her frequently, and the meals were always pretty good. The place had regular field trips and events, the expense of which was included with the rent. The location is in a reasonably safe part of town, near several churches and Krogers, and so on. West Fork was particularly helpful in aiding us as my aunt's health rapidly declined. It was almost effortless to transition her from independent to assisted living, without too huge a change in price. I felt they did their best to meet all her needs right to the point where she needed a level of medical care that only a full hospital could provide. Irving in general has quite a lot to do for a small not-quite-suburb of Dallas that seniors would enjoy. The Senior Community Center has a very nice pool and the city's libraries are great. The bu system (and the transportation provided by West Fork) make everything accessible. It was an entirely positive experience.

My uncle spent the better portion of five years here and I cannot express how well they kept him at home. The level of care and comfort was an ease to my mind. I would most certainly recommend them to anyone who wants a little peace of mind.

I recently moved my elderly relatives here, after months of cajoling because they did not want to leave their home of 53 years. After seeing Brookdale and meeting with the staff, they were amazed that they could afford to live in such a nice place with so many amenities. Now, four weeks later, they look better (good food makes a big difference) and seem so much happier than they did when they were trying to hold things together in their old house. I have been very impressed with the staff -- caring, attentive, warm and welcoming. Brookdale Irving has truly transformed what started as a difficult decision into a happy and excellent experience!

How did they do it? Our Father is a hard headed retired Marine - who through out the years has always said he wanted to die at home - Well he nearly did. He made the decision to move to Brookdale where his friend was. With the help from the Brookdale Home Health and all the staff he has gained 10 lbs. and is better shape than he has been in years. He enjoys eating in the dining room rather than eating alone at home. He is in a routine and enjoys the daily activities. We are extremely satisfied with all the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living for the daily care he receives.

Our family member has been in the assisted living center for the past three months. The transitions from him living independently at home to being in the assisted living center was a wonderful experience due to the caring and very helpful staff. We feel the staff at Brookdale helped establish a routine and have been on top of the care my grandfather needs. They go above and beyond to communicate with our family when needed. The facility is clean and well staffed with caring nurses and aids. They encourage daily activities and social events. We feel Brookdale is the next best thing to family caring for him and peace of mind for our family that he is receiving individualized care.

I love this place and will recommend it to any family member. They have assisted living and independent living.I do not see any problem with them charging meal delivery to the room because it is independent living. I love caregivers and managers . They are professional and delivery good care. my mom need help also with medication reminder since she is in independent side and the price is reasonable. We do pay 11$ a day for morning and evening med reminder.
