One of the most important things to keep in mind when deciding on transitioning to a senior living community is your budget. While you might have a rough number in mind, getting the expenses on paper is a highly useful exercise. It is quite common to assume an approximate figure of what we spend weekly. But after further insight, there are often expenses that come as a surprise. Having a detailed understanding of your budget will aid in the process of finding the right community for you.
Ranking The Best Senior Living Facilities in Colorado
To arrive at our list of top 15 Colorado elderly housing facilities, we reviewed popular sites such as Google and Facebook. We then crossed the reviews left on these sites with those left on our site. At this point, we assigned a score of 1 to 5 to the providers and then consulted the Colorado Department of Health. Those with outstanding violations or citations were removed from the list.
Colorado features an array of senior living providers. Affordability is a big issue, and monthly rates range from $1,400 to $5,500. Those facilities that offer memory care or more skilled nursing will most certainly be above $4,500 in Colorado. The closer you get to the $1,400 price point the more independent the community. On average, you can expect to spend $2,400 for a Colorado senior living community.

Meridian Lakewood has been a blessing for my dad. Through this Covid crisis they have gone above and beyond with Zoom or Facetime visits for us. We were also able to visit outside. It is very sad what the government has mandated for these facilities and we understand it is not their fault and it is not them keeping us away. The nurses and CNAs have so much care for him and and really treat him like family. We couldn’t love this place more! My dad also has a great view from his room and is able to still go outside and enjoy time by their ponds which makes him so happy as he used to be a big angler. He can watch the fish swimming in the pond.

I have been here for eight weeks and I have found that the CNAs and nurses have done a fantastic job they move like chickens with their heads cut off. There knowledge and skill is above average I came in with a severe foot injury with bacteria went from the bottom to the outside of the foot I am now due to their hard work working with physical and occupational therapy can get walking again. The crew with PT and OT are working me hard and if all goes right I will be leaving in a week. And thinking of the restaurant The food is Exceptionally good with low sodium and a good diet. The taste is great !! I forgot to mention the programs from playing cards to wheelchair golf I forgot to mention the programs playing cards to wheelchair golf to animal visits and I will not leave you out the monthly birthday party celebrated for everyone that has a birthday in the month are you here!

I wanted to take a moment to thank the folks at Spring Creek in FoCo for taking such excellent care of my Grandmother. Unfortunately she passed away last December but she was very well cared for in her final year. A special thanks to Mr. Todd who gave her the special attention that our family needed as we were not able to be there as often as we would have liked. I hope to not have to deal with end of life issues again anytime soon but good to know we found a place that treated our Grams as they would their own.

My parents were in Assisted Living for awhile and the staff were present for their every need! They were like family to us. They have moved into the Independent Living section now but continue their relationships with the wonderful and caring staff.
