When you have to leave your home & need family it is the best in Loveland if you have a good income. Stores are closer than some places as towns keep growing. You get what you pay for with washer dryers in rooms & very nice kitchens in independent living.

Hillcrest is one of the best retirement homes in Colorado. The location with fabulous mountain views and rural scenes is delightful. The rooms are larger than most retirement centers and each has their own laundry facilities. The units are mostly soundproof as well and there are several different layouts from which to choose. The grounds are nicely kept enticing residents out for walks. The staff is friendly and helpful and the sense of friendliness, caring for each other and comradery of residents is outstanding.

My father was referred to Hillcrest after a fall at Home and my mother who he was taking care of at home with Dementia had to be moved into memory care after the accident. Adam and Jena were fantastic to work with in finding the best care possible for my father which we thought would be long-term, but unfortunately my mother passed away 6 weeks after he moved in. They were very helpful with anything that was needed for the move in and also when we had to move out to bring him to Texas to be around family. The facility is very clean, great food choices, plenty of activity's, transportation if needed, and the staff was excellent and very caring and knew his name and called him by his name every meal or in the hallway. He loved the cleaning ladies and really misses them since they were very funny and kind. The maintenance staff was awesome in hanging his TV, hooking up his TV and Internet and also removing it when he moved out. It was absolutely hassle free when we gave our 30 days' notice to move out which wasn't our plan, but we had no choice, and they totally understood and were very thoughtful. I would recommend Hillcrest to anyone who asked since it was a 1st class facility from day one, and the residents were really great as well. Thank you, Hillcrest team, for giving my dad the best care possible over his short stay, but he was really starting to feel at home until my mother passed, and he had to move to Texas.

My parents really like Hillcrest. However, the building wifi is not acceptable. They have to pay for xfinity to provide coverage to their entire unit. FYI - as more tech-savy residents move in, you will need to improve your infrastructure.

The memory care at Hillcrest at Loveland has been a great experience for the last two years for my 95 year young mother. All of the caregiving staff are very caring and extremely competent. I enjoy all the residents here. Everyone is friendly. This is a great company since I cant be with family all the time. The views of the mountains are beautiful from our back yard. Another great thing about this community is the always availible menu that lets you have a wide range of selection.

I really like my home here at Hillcrest. The apartment is spacious and warm and the food is improving. The new sous chef I think is a wonderful addition to the staff.

Hillcrest has steadily gone downhill in the last 2 years. Maintenance is completely unresponsive. We submitted a work order, repeatedly asked the head of maintenance for status, and nothing. It's been over a year now.... The 'security system' at the front door is a joke (for resident safety, I will not share details.) They have massive turnover of staff and those remaining cannot possibly manage the load so promised services are not being fulfilled. The quality of food has dropped to unacceptable levels as have the quantities (two of many examples: selected cottage cheese for a meal and was literally given one teaspoon with the meal; hot meals replaced by cold sandwiches with one paper-thin slice of lunchmeat.) Our initial experience was wonderful so it saddens me to write this review. MBK Corporate needs to sit up and pay attention.

My Dad’s wife did ample research to find the perfect facility to place my Dad when his Alzheimer’s disease had progressed to the point she could no longer care for him at home. I trusted her implicitly and was not disappointed with her commitment to Hillcrest. My Dad moved into their Memory Care wing just two weeks before Covid wreaked havoc in the world and we were unable to visit him. But the staff, which feels so formal now to refer to them as such, did an amazing job of getting to know him and caring for him, which wasn’t always easy, in our mandated absence. They worked with Pathways Hospice to ensure he was receiving the needed proper and progressing care and when the time came to transition, my Dad’s wife and I were allowed to be with him as much as we wanted despite Covid restrictions still being in place. Those final days were beautiful and brutal but it helped knowing he was tenderly cared for when we couldn’t be there. I knew he was in good hands when the girls cried with me over him.

I work as an independent senior caretaker and have been in several different different places in both Fort Collins and Loveland. Hillcrest is very expensive and does not live up to the price they charge. The food is mediocre,dining room staff are not trained properly and the receptionist is NOT welcoming. I would not recommend to any clients.

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place for our mother to spend the final few weeks of her life. Our family was deeply touched by the special effort and sensitivity that was consistently demonstrated. Everyone who visited commented on the beautiful surroundings, and the warmth and friendliness of the staff. As much as we miss our mom, we’ll always remember our experience at Hillcrest with fondness and gratitude.

My mom started off in Independent Living at Hillcrest, moved to Independent Plus, and then to Assisted Living. She was extremely happy there, and we couldn't have asked for better care. The staff was totally awesome, and I truly felt that each one of them cared for my mom. I went to sleep every night knowing she was in the best hands ever!

All the Hillcrest staff has been so helpful getting to know my dad and figuring out the best fit for him in terms of care, social interactions, and safety. It is a lovely, sunny place where he can engage in lots of activities or retreat for peaceful solitude.

The leadership team is amazing and creates a fun, lively, and classy place for our seniors to live and thrive. Overheard management berate a nurse while visiting my uncle. I could actually hear a patient across the hall screaming terrible names at the nurse. I heard the nurse tell her 'please don't hit me in the face.' quite a few times. As I was leaving toward the stairs, I heard the other nurses gossiping that the victim nurse doesn't belong here, and should go elsewhere. I am assuming a nursing manager, said the abuse of the nurse caused her a lot of extra paperwork and wasted time, and she would go what she can to get that nurse fired. I am shocked as these issues should not be discussed in the open, and furthermore, there was damage being done to this poor nurse, who is actually a nice girl. I can't imagine why she is penalized because she is a different race. THEY SHOULD FIRE THE PATIENT! It just downgraded the whole place for me. No integrity.
