New General Manager is a sheep in wolves clothing. She speaks poorly about family members of residents, will not allow former employees to say good bye to residents they have loved and cared for, rebukes employees based on gossip. Do not recommend this facility.

Everyone here is terrific. They have helped me done things I never imagined. Every maintenence issue has been promptly addressed. My third floor windows have been washed twice. The front desk is eager to help. The janitorial staff has done so great. They washed my bathroom floor mats yesterday. The food staff has been great. My friends who have visited say what a great facility it is and so moderately priced. Every thing is done so well.

I just moved my father into MacKenzie Place and I'm very pleased with the facility and the staff. They are professional, organized, well trained, courteous, and on point to help in any way they can. I've seen several facilities and this is clearly the best in Northern CO.

4/13/22: I have worked here for the last year and counting and all I can say about this really great community is we have some of the best people working behind the scenes and the residents are top notch. I have worked in maintenance the last 7 years and by far this has been the most welcoming group of residents and especially the staff. I really feel that I can grow here. I have found that the staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. Very helpful RAs, office staff is absolutely amazing knowing everybody's name to spending years getting to know some of these residents. The kitchen staff is very good, and yes I know that the turnover rate is a little high but we also have people that have been around for 5 plus years which makes everyday great working with them to have them share their knowledge. Each month we are really listening to staff and residents trying to make this community and grow with the changing times. We are constantly updating rooms, decor, technology and trying to better this place for the future. Our big projects for this year; are getting the Lodge up and running again for events. And swapping our saltwater pool over to a chlorine pool. Work on landscaping and outdoor appliances.

My wife and I stopped in McKenzie place last week or so to visit a friend. I was delightfully surprised to find a bright and sparkling place, at least in the front area, with a lot of smiling people around. The staff was as attentive as they needed to be for unexpected visitors, and treated us well. Seems like a home away from home. With a place like McKenzie, I can hardly wait to get old!

This is a great place for people who want to retire but still need assistance they have independent living and assisted living the rooms are nice and spacious and the dining areas are very homey.

My mother has been living here for almost 2 years now and loves MacKenzie Place. Her apartment is beautiful and spacious. What really sold her on MacKenzie is the salt water swimming pool! The staff is very caring and responsive to her needs. Prior to the Covid-19 restrictions, our family loved dining with our mom in the dining room for the monthly dinner specials and weekly brunches and we look forward to continuing that in the future.

My Dad has lived at MacKenzie Place (Fort Collins) for the last three or so years. He moved there after my mother passed away. He has a beautiful two-bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the Rocky Mountains. He also has two bathrooms. He wants to make it inviting and convenient for his daughters to come visit him. It is a very welcoming and friendly place. As we live on the East Coast (a three-hour plane ride away), so safety, security and comfort were all key elements of our decision to move Dad to MacKenzie Place. Dad (who is now 92 years) has an active lifestyle, and he can go for walks and use the gym, as well as use the onsite PT-OT services. He generally has two well-prepared meals a day in the MacKenzie restaurants, and he is especially fond of the goodie cart that comes around every afternoon. His apartment is large and comfortable, extremely well maintained, and has upgraded finishes to make it feel like home. Their Covid response program has been rigorous and thorough. Both staff and other residents are engaged, interesting and create a very positive living environment. It has been an excellent choice for our family.

Weve been resident in a MacKenzie Place independent living apartment since Early July of 2019. Previously, dining visits impressed us with food preparation, offerings and service. These first favorable impressions have persisted. Equally impressive, residents seemed much more social and animated than at other communities we visited. And while women outnumber men, the balance is better than some other communities. The staff is uniformly caring and attentive and MKP has demonstrated creativity in implementing and adjusting to COVID-19 restrictions. COVID-19 has provided some unexpected challenges but MKP has made great protective efforts and avoided any staff or resident infections, to date. What could be more important at this time? MKP has shown great imagination in introducing entertaining changes of pace like a beverage cart, snack cart and hallway entertainment while maintaining social distancing. My wife and I moved in to MacKenzie Cottages, across from MacKenzie Place main building, just over 2 years ago. We decided on the cottages since they are low or no outside maintenance, good floor plans that are just right for downsizing and they are purchased by the resident. There is even a handyman that can help with some of the jobs that are not as easy as they used to be. We especially like it because we can take advantage of all that is available to the main building residents,such as the restaurants, games, gym, ,the hot tub, excursions which are great, Rockies games, tour of Denvers historic Italian neighborhood, the Buffalo ranch in Wyoming and on and on and on.Oh,and I forgot, a movie every night. Masons dining room, the pub,and Friday night happy hour with live music is a must. Lots of options for good food and entertainment. The staff is very good and is very attentive to residents needs. Enough said, we are so happy to have moved to Mackenzie cottages and to be part of the Mackenzie community.

I believe it would be a big mistake to not take a good look at this place. Ive had the privilege of working in this building providing occupational therapy for the past three years. Ive got to know pretty much everyone that lives here and works here. Ive been doing this for 25 years working in at least 100+ buildings over that time and I get to observe administrations and staff and dietary and its hard not to form an opinion. I have no problem or hesitation believing this is one of the nicest and most well run buildings that Ive ever worked in!

My grandmother is one of the original occupants of MacKenzie place and she absolutely loves it!! The people are nice and very helpful. Food isn't to terribly bad. I'm just happy my grandmother calls this place home.

The. COMMONS at Dallas ranch is a wonderful place. The staff is very friendly and kind. The director Alberto is both professional and personal, with any concerns he has always been there to resolve anything needed. I feel very at ease that one of our family members is living there. Thank you
