After checking out a few other senior living facilities in the area, my family and I were expecting just another run of the mill tour experience to see the grounds, glance at a room and sit looking at a mountain of paperwork. That wasn't the case here. We spent more time walking around to see as many rooms as we wanted, and interacted with some of the residents in the common areas. Everyone from the residents to the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A distinct difference from some that we visited. The grounds are very well kept, common areas are 5 star hotel level clean and tidy, rooms are the same (exceptionally well kept) and the area has a great view of the mountains. This facility is at the top of our list right now, and I don't think it can be beat by the final stop on our list. I know our next visit with my uncle will be just as fantastic and he will be thrilled to most likely be calling Sunrise of Westminster home soon. Thank you to everyone, it was a memorable tour!

Sarah is the most amazing person to work with. I have had 2 opportunities to inquire about a room at their facility. Both times she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and very kind. She is understanding and tries to accommodate your loved one's current needs with the offerings at Sunrise. You always come away from a conversation with Sarah feeling as though you just spent time with a good friend.

My mother lived at Sunrise of Westminster for several years. She was always treated with kindness and compassion. I highly recomend this facility to any who is searching. My mother was a very high level of need (hoyer lift, showering, dressing) and they did everything necessary to help her and prevent her from having to move to a nursing home. I appreciated all of them very much.

I visited the facility in hopes of bringing my mom here who has dementia. Everyone was very polite and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept, and the rooms are cozy and clean. Residents seem happy and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend taking a tour of the facilities and consider bringing your loved ones here!

My mom was transferred from a rehab facility over two weeks ago to Sunrise of Westminster and its been a great experience for all of us. From working with Anne who held our hands and helped us through all the steps to get my mom there to the WONDERFUL STAFF that takes care of her on a day-to-day basis - THANK YOU. We have not had one negative issues-concern with them. I am so glad we found this place, as my mom needed a place to transition back to her independent life style after rehab.

We placed my Mom here in hospice for what we thought would be for a couple of weeks. Mom stayed there for 4 months in memory care. I visited the facility every other day and saw many activities, meals, happy hours, sing along, and more. The staff was amazing with the residents in Memory Care. They treated them with respect and dignity. I looked into other facilities, including other Sunrise facilities, and this one was the most welcoming and caring. They were always available to answer queations and concerns we may have had. The staff was so incredibly helpful when mom passed away, giving us the time we needed with her and supported us all along the way. I would recommend Sunrise to everyone.

Working as a professional, I have spent time in countless senior living communities. I have witnessed this community working as a strong team to assure residents needs are being met. This includes housekeeping coming into their rooms with a cheerful smile, engaging with residents as they assure their home is clean and sanitized. It includes the kitchen staff working tirelessly to provide meals. It includes maintenance jumping in at the drop of a hat to keep their home optimally functioning and safe. It includes care partners, who treat residents as family, navigating the sometimes challenging aspects of direct care. It includes activities staff, who are creatively trying to meet the social-emotional-physical needs of residents. It includes the medical team managing complex and ever changing health conditions. It includes the concierge who somehow juggle residents, family, and outside needs while answering the phone. It includes management, who consistently go above and beyond to make sure the entire team is supported and working together to create a home for residents. Covid has presented huge obstacles within Senior Living, yet Sunrise Westminster has remained focused on what is most important....the health and well being of residents.

My husbands experience at Sunrise of Westminster has been stellar. Thats because team members are carefully-chosen, well-trained, competent, compassionate, patient, and amazingly thoughtful. All who work there are clearly committed to residents safety, care, and comfort. Every Sunrise team member I have met demonstrates, in words and actions, that residents welfare is their first and foremost responsibility. In addition, I am impressed with the staffs availability and willingness to answer questions, when they arise, and to make adjustments, when necessary, to accommodate my husbands unique needs. Remarkably, Sunrise of Westminster has kept all residents safe from Covid19. Without excellent leadership from the Executive Director, Sue Crawford, and strict adherence to protocol by every single member of the Sunrise team, that would not be the case. If you are searching for an excellent assisted living facility, I recommend Sunrise of Westminster without reservation.

Recent negative reviews are clearly based on a misguided opinion! My mother has lived at Sunrise for 2 years now and I cannot imagine her getting better care anywhere else. I visit my mom often, attend events and join them on outings so I know first hand that the staff, food, care and respect provided is 2nd to none. Our family is extremely satisfied with the quality of care our grandfather receives at Sunrise Westminster. We could not ask for a better place and team of caretakers! He feels truly loved and cared for. The staff go out of their way to make each day special for him and the other residents. Our family knows he is well taken care of at Sunrise! We lost my grandmother a year ago and the Sunrise team was always very supportive for my grandfather and helped him grieve and adjust to his new life. They took amazing care of my grandmother and provided her peace and comfort for the last few months of her life while fighting her final battle with a terrible illness.. We could not have asked for more! I see some of the negative reviews on this site and I cant believe they are true. My family visits many times per week and we have never witnessed anything but amazing care and service. I am not a very trusting person, but I trust Sunrise with my grandfather and they have never let me down! Thats really the best compliment I could give any business.

Sunrise Westminster is a truly amazing place. My grandfather lived there for almost two years before passing away after a long struggle with cancer. The entire Sunrise team did an amazing job of taking care of him during his time there. They nourished his body, soul and made him feel like his life had meaning and he was part of a community. I’d like to single out a few individuals who were great, but really the entire team is awesome from the caretakers to the maintenance team, from the cooks to the housecleaners, and from the front desk to the management. Our family was blessed to have found such an amazing place for my grandpa. You can’t go wrong with this team!

Our Aunt has been a resident at Sunrise for over 4 years. The loving care she has received is constant and ongoing. The staff treats her as family and goes out of their way to try to accommodate her every need and desire. We visit frequently and the staff treats us like family as well. We could not ask for a more loving environment for a loved one. This feeling is shared and often expressed by our Aunt. As our our Aunt says, "if you have to go to assisted living, this is a good place for me to be". Many thanks to all the Sunrise family! My sisters and I moved Mom into Sunrise (Reminiscence) Memory Care just over 3 months ago. Sunrise is not as “new and elegant” as some of the other facilities in the area – it is more “homey and comfortable”. The management team is great, but it’s the Care Managers that make me feel that we made the right move for Mom. Although I know they are paid employees, I get the idea that the Care Managers feel like they are part of a large extended family. The team members act like sisters and cousins, and they treat the residents like treasured and familiar Aunts and Grandmothers. If you are considering Sunrise Reminiscence for your loved one and have any misgivings, I suggest you visit at lunch time. Not necessarily to eat, but to watch how the Care Team interacts with each resident with respect and dignity. They joke with each other and the residents, but they know exactly where everyone is and what she is doing. They are flexible enough to let a resident eat cake before lunch, but firm enough to make sure she eats something nutritious. I’m fairly certain that I’ve seen halos on the heads of every member of the Sunrise REM Care Team.

This private retirement home has a nursing home section and also a reminiscence section (for seniors with dementia). Both sections have caring staff, and a home-y atmosphere. On the non-reminiscence section they arrange outings to the local stores and even set out lawn chairs to watch annual fireworks displays.

What a great place. The staff are very caring of the residents. This is the most efficiently ran Assisted Living facility. The management strive to make everyone feel at home and happy. They take time to ensure residents and staff are well accommodated. The courteous concierge make sure the building is clean and organized.

So far they have been wonderful. The people are very kind and nurturing and sweet. They know their residents. They say hi by-name. My mom has not moved there yet, but we are working on it.
