2024 Top Manitoba Senior Living Communities

When it comes time to consider a senior living community for you or a loved one you naturally want the best. Good enough will rarely be good enough. Yet, there are lots of things to consider before simply choosing the first community that comes to your attention. Will you or a loved one require memory care services? Which amenities are the most important to consider? How do you budget for an elderly housing facility? These are important questions that should not be taken lightly.

Manitoba is home to a host of senior living communities. Winnipeg naturally features the largest variety, but Brandon, Carman, and Dominion City among others have some excellent options as well. Our list of top 3 Manitoba senior living communities does not cover all of Manitoba. If you do not find your community or city represented, our handy senior living directory is a great resource. We also have senior living advisors on call to assist you in this important life decision.

Tip for Maintaining Contact With Senior Loved Ones Online
The pandemic has radically altered our lives. No longer are casual, in-person get-togethers as casually organized as before. Worse yet, the segment of our population that is suffering the most is our aging loved ones. Seniors around the world have had to self-isolate, and maintaining contact has been challenging. Platforms for video calls like Zoom are quite popular, but there are also games and apps like Sudoku and Words with Friends that are excellent options for keeping that connection alive and well.

Ranking The Best Senior Living Facilities in Manitoba

How did we come up with our list of Top 15 senior living providers in Manitoba? We first concentrated our efforts on Google and Facebook reviews. Next, we compared the facility reviews with those left on our own site. Afterward, we consulted the Manitoba Department of Health to ensure none of our selected providers had outstanding violations or serious complaints.

Like anything, senior living communities vary in price. Manitoba is an affordable place to transition into an elderly housing facility, with average monthly costs in the $2,500 range. Standard amenities such as meals and medication management are included, and if pricier services such as specialized nursing or memory care are needed, the costs can exceed $5,000 monthly.
