My grandmother lived here for the last 18 months of her life. Everyone from the owners and staff to the visiting family of other residents were attentive and kind. Despite Grandmas increasing frailty and dementia, they actively included her in everyday activities as well as spur of the moment fun, such as impromptu dress up photo shoots. The care she was given was excellent. They encouraged family to visit and be involved. They also worked well with multiple family members in different roles. The facility is set in a beautifully wooded and peaceful location where Grandma enjoyed watching the deer, rabbits, and hummingbirds from the back deck or out on the wide front lawn. The house itself is spacious, nicely decorated and very well maintained. I am pleased and grateful that The Elders Nest was here for Grandma and us. I can definitely recommend them to others.

I am so very grateful to have found the Elders Nest to place my husband of 58 years who has dementia-Altzheimers. He gets the kind of care I was looking for. I was made part of the family immediately and owners and staff are very warm and welcoming. I thank God every day for them all.

My father, Vance Witt, was at Elders Nest for the last three years of his life, 2015-2018. He was very happy here with lots of interaction with staff and the owners. They accommodated his diet, oxygen and wheelchair needs. He was well care for both physically and mentally. They always had his morning paper ready at breakfast and let him have a jig saw puzzle to work on in the gathering room. He was able to watch TV in the TV room. The house is clean and feels like a home. They welcome family members to visit and spend time with their loved ones. They accommodate birthday parties and several times a year have a family dinner for anyone that would like to come. When you have a loved one at the Elders Nest, they and you become part of the family.

When it came time to find care for our dad, we looked into several homes. Upon checking out The Elders Nest, we knew it was the right choice. We as a family had been caring for dad (in his own home) and were with him 24-7. It got to a point where we couldnt do it anymore. Our dad was our family pillar. Our gold! So as you can see, we couldnt just put him anywhere. We never had any doubt that our dad was well cared for. Cherene and her crew took such GREAT care of dad until his passing. They were patient with him. They were kind. They showed love. We felt free to visit whenever we wanted. If you are looking for a AFC home for a loved one, check them out. We would definitely choose them again.

The Elders Nest is a loving, family oriented home. The Beattys and the caregivers they employ, are the most caring and competent individuals. Its very much a family environment. I never had to worry when I left my Dad for the evening because I knew he would be well taken care of. I was so thankful that my Father was able to spend the last months of his life at the Elders Nest, where he was so loved and taken care of. When my Dad passed, they opened up the AFH to us so that all of my extended family were able to come and say Goodbye. A special THANK YOU to the caregivers and Beattys there with us that night for the love and care shown to our family.

My husband Phil Monahan lived at Elders nest from July 2017 until June 2018. He had late stage Alzhiemers Parkinsons. The care he received was the best they always treated me like family. I would highly recommend this adult family home to everyone

I absolutely loved working at the Elders Nest. The owners are very personable and even went as far as providing me with transportation to and from work. The residents are receiving the best care, in an extremely clean and nurturing environment. I refer people to them all the time.

My precious dad lived at The Elders Nest for five months before he passed away. I am forever grateful and thankful that he was so well taken care of and loved by the owners and staff during those months that we, his family, could no longer safely care for him at home. I spent many, many, many hours there visiting my pops and when I left each day, I always felt he was in good hands, I never had to worry and I could be at peace with our decision to place him there. I felt and witnessed the compassion and love to the residents over and over and over. I saw the caregivers hugs and goodbyes at the end of their shifts as well as the hellos and how are you to each resident as a new shift came on. I heard the light hearted jokes, singing, encouraging words, the playful games and activities as well as, the many compliments to the residents. I always felt included and welcomed with every visit and was comforted when I had my moments of sadness with our familys trials and decisions that we had to make. The Elders Nest opened up their home to us and at my dads passing, provided our family and extended family with food and time to be with each other. Its never an easy decision to place a loved ones care into someone elses hands and a decision I never thought Id ever have to make, not in a million years. I am truly blessed and will be forever thankful to the owners and staff at The Elders Nest... thank you!

My dad had a nice time at the Elders Nest. They have awesome staff and it was always very clean. When I would bring my kids there they would have treats and games to entertain them with. I dont think we could have found a better place for my dad. I highly recommend the Elders Nest.

My father is an Alzheimers patient and has been residing at Elders Nest for over a year. He is far better off than previously, when he was in a more institutional environment. I know my Dad is receiving the best-most personalized care possible and NEVER worry about the way he is treated. The owners-staff go out of their way to provide the most professional-nuturing care you could ever hope for in a home setting, which obviously makes their patients more comfortable and feel like theyre truly home.

Our Dad lived here in the last year of his life. During this time I was living in Wisconsin, but was able to come see my Dad a few times at the Elders Nest, with its welcoming and well maintained country setting. The facility was always clean and pleasant, with room inside and outside, for family and friends to visit with their loved ones. The caregivers I dealt with were friendly, professional, caring attentive. It was comforting to know our Dad was being well-taken care of in his last days - Thank You

One of the owners, Cherene Beatty is a loving, caring person who has worked for me before becoming the owner of Elders nest. My husband had a stroke and was paralyzed on the left side. Cherene was my best and most loyal workers. She did a wonderful job for us for 2 1-2 years. She knew how to do everything needed and even helped me to learn. Since she has the owner of The Ekders nest, I have visited many times for hours. The home is beautiful, clean, friendly and family oriented. I have watched the care given there. The workers are friendly and efficient. It has a family atmosphere. The floors are so clean and shiny, I asked how they did it so I could do it too. If and when I need care, I will hope I can get in there. I have recommended the home to my friends for their family members.

Although my mother was there for about 6 weeks before she passed, she was so well cared for. Unable to do anything on her own, the caregivers were always tending to her. She was always included in the household activities, moved to the gathering room to a chair and never just left in her room alone. As a family we loved that. She loved watching the activities going on, whether the kitchen, the gathering room, etc. We felt so blessed that we found Elders Nest to place her in and would recommend this facility.

I was incredibly fortunate to find this home and caring people to care for my friend of 20 years. Both the owners and the caregivers understand both the physical and mental aspects of aging, and treat my friend with the dignity, kindness, understanding, and compassion that every person deserves. The entire staff is very knowledgable about the social and medical needs of residents. I have none of this expertise. I greatly appreciate their patience in guiding and educating me about resources, help, and solutions that can benefit my friend. Caring for my friend has become a team effort. The caregivers have become friends. This is a beautiful home set in a lovely, country area with wildlife coming through the grounds. And the food is great!
