My parents have lived at Highgate for about 5-6 months. There have been some health challenges and I am so pleased to have the support of the entire Highgate team. Jennifer Beltran, in particular, has managed a series of back-to-back changes in medication that have occurred in this short time. She has a great understanding of both detail and the big picture; and is a terrific problem solver. She genuinely cares about my parents and their wellbeing. She is a terrific communicator and follows up consistently, so not only I know key information but their PCP as well. I am so grateful for her diligence and care.

I'm so impressed with Jennifer Beltran and her constant and seamless communication with my dad's health and medication issues. I highly recommend this place! I have worked here and the staff are amazing! I recommend talking to Ananda Bazzano, she is amazing at here job, she is so helpful always smiling and friendly, I now work for hospice and go in frequently care for the residents there, who on on hospice! It's my favorite place to go as I have kept a close relationship with all of the staff who work there but Ananda specifically is always there and ready to answer any questions, she is often at the front desk. I would put my own parents here, as the care here is wonderful! I feel very blessed as Highgate will always have a special place in my heart, so if your looking for a place to call home for a loved one, go ask for Ananda!

My aunt was going to move into Highgate in Vancouver, WA. It was not meant to be as she passed away. Michael and Autumn have been unbelievably helpful, compassionate, kind and professional. They worked with us to get everything in order for my aunt to move in and when it was not meant to be they worked as hard at figuring everything out to get furniture out and refunds taken care of. Throughout the entire process they were so helpful and kind, always available for our calls. I very highly recommend Highgate based completely on their staff and how we were treated. Thank you

Most recently, our family had to make the hard decision to move our Mom out of a independent living facility into a place that offered assisted living resources. In our search, we looked at very large facilities to those that were very high priced. When my Mom walked into Highgate, she immediately fell in love with the decor and comfortable feel of the property. We were then introduced to Mike, who was very personable, but more important, understanding about my Mom's needs. Because my Mom's first grandson in named Mike, she indicated that this was not a name she would forget and the fact that he would be right down the hall from her, that she felt a connection. This went on further when my Mom was introduced to Rose, who is in charge of the activities, another name my Mom would not forget as is her own. Rose actually remembered my Mom on our 2nd visit to Highgate and brought her cucumbers from the garden, which delighted my Mom. My Mom said This is the place for me. It basically came down to how everyone had made her feel comfortable from the interactions with the Staff and residents that she met briefly. My Mom is looking forward to moving in shortly and making Highgate her place to call home.

The community has something for everyone, from dominoes to cooking classes. They are a lovely place, that has experienced, kind, staff, who genuinely care about people. If you are thinking about a place for your loved one, Highgate should be at the very top of your list.

If you are looking for high quality, professional, loving, and intentional care for your family member then I highly recommend Highgate Senior living. We moved my mom to Highgate after an unsatisfactory experience at another senior living community. I was very nervous about the quality of care she would receive when I wasn't there to monitor her daily needs and interactions. Autumn, Mike, Brooke and the ENTIRE care team relieved any doubts or concerns I had with their exceptional knowledge, communication, and follow through. They have been extremely empathetic and informative since day one. My mom began her journey in assisted living. As her needs increased, Autumn and the staff were aware of the subtle and small changes happening for my mom and were able to verbalize and share with our family what they were seeing, inviting us to be a part of the process through family meetings, phone calls, and emails. They were able to share specifics regarding what they felt would help support my mom and optimize her quality of life in her stage of health. They were accurate and correct in their design and understanding of my mom's needs, implementing changes in her care plan to help my mom thrive. I feel so much gratitude to have my mom in a place I feel absolute confidence and trust in the care she receives. It makes all the difference, throughout this very difficult process, to have the reassurance and comfort in knowing my mom is loved and properly cared for when I'm not with her every moment. I wrap a huge hug around all the staff at Highgate! Thank you for all that you do for your residents and families!! We are so very grateful!

I can't say enough positive things about Highgate. My parents moved in a year ago, my dad in memory care and my mom in independent living. It is a warm and friendly environment and the staff is awesome. The director Autum is very responsive to concerns or requests as well as all the other staff. It's a small facility and does not have all the eminities like the bigger retirement facilities but it's close to many things and they have lots of excursions for the residents. My dad came to Highgate a little over a year ago after having broken his arm. The staff was extremely kind and caring for him, helping him settle into his new home. Everyone has treated my dad and my family as if we are part of their family. The caregivers are very professional and kind to my dad. The residents are treated with respect and the staff genuinely cares for each of them. I highly recommend Highgate to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

What an amazing team at Highgate Senior Living! I regularly visit many communities in the Vancouver area and Highgate Senior Living truly stands apart. In visiting with the residents that reside here, they feel they have found their home, and many wish they had moved here sooner. In meeting with Autumn and Mike, you can honestly feel they love the residents they serve here. Residents not only have a home, but are part of a family here. The exceptional servant leadership demonstrated by Autumn and Mike is the driving force behind the harmonious and synergistic cohesiveness of their team. My wife is the 2nd member of our family that has been cared for by Highgate. My mother in law plus my wonderful wife have been cared for in this wonderful facility. The caring and the love shown by the staff at Highgate is exceptional. They are not just residents at Highgate, but they are family. They do everything they can to provide a safe and caring environment. While my wife's mother was there we talked about the what ifs as we age. We both agreed that this would be a place we would like to be if or when we became cognitively incapacitated by this horrible disease. The cost is reasonable as compared to the other facilities in the area, and the care is exceptional. When my time comes, this is aplace I would like to be cared for.

Almost three years ago, our Mom became a resident at Highgate in Vancouver and she recently moved from the Manor to the Cottage for memory care. This transition was seamless and Autumn and her team were amazing in helping us manage this every step of the way. All of the warm and nurturing staff members are absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, and always willing to help Mom or if we have any questions about anything! The communication from everyone is just outstanding and we love all of the many fun family events they host, such as St. Patrick's Day, an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, and Western Night. It's always so nice to see the residents and their families enjoying them as well. What else can we say, but that we are extremely happy and confident in knowing she continues to be safe and well cared for, and highly recommend Highgate Vancouver to anyone who is interested in senior living care for their family and friends!

The people truly make Highgate special. My mother moved 4 months ago into the Cottage (memory care area). The transition was difficult for her, but the care team took extra effort to help her adjust and worked with me to find strategies to help Mom settle in. The care team learned what she enjoyed and made sure she received extra hot chocolate and the front seat during bus outings. The care team is affectionate and attentive, and Mom appreciated their kindness. Sadly, Mom entered hospice care for 2 weeks and passed 5 days ago. She was able to receive hospice services at Highgate without needing to move from her room. The care team coordinated with hospice to make sure Mom's needs were met. They were also attentive to us as we stayed by Mom's bedside. I can't fully convey my gratitude for the warmth and compassion we met at Highgate. In the end, the caring culture is what matters.

After several recommendations from friends and others familiar with what's available locally, I looked into Highgate as a possible placement for my sweetheart over 16 months ago. I met with the Marketing Manager, Mike, and he answered all my questions, gave me a great tour and clearly explained all the benefits they provide. The whole process of getting approved and moved in was seamless! I have been very pleased with the level of care received there. I am able to communicate regularly with Mike and the Executive Directer, Autumn, and have always been able to get direct answers to any questions I may have. All the care-givers are very involved in the round-the-clock care needed for folks in various stages of memory loss, from earlier stages to advanced stages up until passing. Compassionate is the word I would choose to best described the care here. Keep in mind that with 20+ residents it is impossible for each one to have one-on-one attention 24/7 but they are all closely monitored and given the individual attention they need. The rooms are nice and are equipped with fall-protection monitoring. Lots of activities to include residents of all levels depending on their individual capabilities. I have been pleased with the quality of the meals and snacks, and enjoy the monthly family nights! I have full confidence in the staff and management at Highgate. I love them and the residents so much, I even now serve as a volunteer for both the assisted living and the memory care folks. So glad I chose Highgate! I know my sweetheart is safe, loved and well cared for and I'm thankful for all the Highgate folks!

The move into memory care wasn't easy for my father-in-law, but within a short period of time, he adjusted to his new living arrangement. The thing I love the most about Highgate is hands down, the incredible staff. They took such great care of him the 2+ years he was there. That peace of mind was invaluable.

My mom always felt safe at Highgate and as her dementia slowly took her on a difficult journey, she always knew she could depend on her Highgate family. Thank you so much to everyone at Highgate Vancouver, who had the opportunity to touch my mom's life in such a positive way. After almost a year at the facility, mom unfortunately lost her life from a fall that caused severe brain injury. Her last days were complete dependance on others. It was this time that I felt the complete care and compassion of all the staff at Vancouver Highgate. From the people that made her meals, all the way up to Autumn who went out of her way to give me time with my mother in her last days. No one ever made me feel like I was asking too much. I know mom was loved and cared for by her reaction to the staff that took care of her on a daily basis. I miss my mother terribly, and will miss the people and staff at Highgate that made her last year a positive one. To anyone who is caring for a loved one and needs some help, do not hesitate to reach out to Vancouver Highgate.
