A Place For Mom
I would recommend the community to others. There are several nice things about this community. The staff is accommodating, friendly, nice location, has a lovely backyard and patio area, and everything seems very clean. The food wasn't great, it seemed lamed. My loved one felt that the lunches were leftovers from dinner the night before. The other negative was the transfers from bed to chair and back.

I just went to visit the home once for a tour. I had to wait a little bit for the person to arrive but she was very nice when meeting her. I was there for a short time. From what I saw it seemed okay but it wasn't as nice as the other community I was interested in. The house didn't seem as clean, it was okay.

Caring
Serra Mesa is a board and care facility. The staff was warm and friendly. The residents seemed content. The location was fine and they also have home cooked meals. On their calendar they did have people who come for arts and grafts.

They have really gone out of their way in the holiday season to fix nice meals and include the family in little gatherings and such. Overall I am really very satisfied. I can't even think of much they can do to improve.

Visited this location, visited 2 of Evelyn's locations. One was extremely clean and neat and organized. Both of the places in Serra Mesa were nice and run efficiently.
