Front of house staff shows real care for the residents. I also appreciate the articles written to educate families on the issues Seniors deal with and the monthly Zoom support group for families providing care to loved ones with Dementia and Alzheimers.

Very nice people to my mom who lives here and me who visits. Mom is friends with the staff and other people staying at Montera. They are keeping her busy and she's happy. They take her to visit local places. It's nice she gets out more. We eat in the upstairs "restaurant" and she (we) have a nice lunch and talk we about what we see outside. Good food and more nice people.

My Mom, the kindest woman on the planet lives at The Montera. She began her stay in the assisted living and was allowed to bring her very large and very sweet dog to live with her there. Last November it became necessary to move Mom to live in the Memory Care area at The Montera. Mom has always and still has a very 'customer service' attitude. The staff allows her to believe she is a volunteer worker in the Memory Care Community. She passes out Bingo Cards and helps direct other residents to the dining or community room. This gives Mom a sense of purpose and she is very happy every time I visit. Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and professional and seems to have the best interests of the residents foremost in their minds and hearts.

Coming to Montera for my mother has given her the safe and supported living, the enriched and engaging thriving, and the discovering which comes with careful planning and coordination of a caring staff who get to know, see, hear and respect the residents and each other. For her children and grandchildren, Montera has become a family that shares in supporting and appreciating her as a beloved and valued member in our community. She is stronger, healthier and happier since she transitioned to Montera.

My folks have been at this place for the past four or five weeks. It is very professional and organized. All my parents needs are taken care of. And all the people that work here are very caring and insightful for their needs. I am very comfortable knowing that all their care they are getting there and it gives me peace of mind.

Connections for Living staff are amazing. We were able to find an apartment for my mother who has dementia and father who does not have dementia to live together. It was difficult to find

My grandparents have been at the Montera for almost 2 years and they have been treated with a lot of respect, understanding and kindness. The atmosphere is very clean, up to date and welcoming!! The management and staff are extremely kind and friendly too. They are also great with communicating any relevant information to me so I am well informed. The Montera is a perfect home for my grandparents!! Thank you for the support and reassurance that you have given to our family.

I LIVED AT ANOTHER FACILITY FOR 2 YEARS THEN CAME HERE. I CALLED MY FRIEND TO SAY THE FOOD IS SO MUCH BETTER HERE & IN 6 MONTHS HE MOVED OVER TOO. THE GROUNDS ARE BETTER, SEPARATED BUILDINGS WITH WELL MANICURED PLANTS & THE BEST KOI FISH POND IN BETWEEN. THE SERVICE STAFF SHOW MORE PATIENCE & CARING THAN ANY I'VE SEEN IN HOSPITALS. I'VE MADE FRIENDS HERE WITH STAFF & NEIGHBORS. A LOCAL CHURCH THANKFULLY PROVIDES SERVICES ON SUNDAY MORNINGS. SEEING MY 3yr OLD GRAND DAUGHTER FEEDING THE FISH AT THE KOI POND IS MORE THAN I CAN PUT INTO WORDS! PEOPLE SHOW MORE PATIENCE & CARING THAN ANY I'VE SEEN IN

I found the staff at The Montera to be very friendly and extremely hard working. Staff does not just walk around but power walks at all times. Very eager to be of assistance. The food was very good. I was impressed with variety of the selections.

My parents are in good hands at the Montera, they are happy, healthy, and thriving!
January 2022
Moving my aging parents to the Montera was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My mother needed care and received it. My father, now a widower, always says how much he loves living there--the staff, the food and the facilities are terrific. While my parents didn't participate in many activities, I love that every day there are a variety of things to choose from.

My father has been a resident at the Montera since September, 2019. He often tells me how nice the staff are at the Montera. I totally agree. The staff are caring, kind and friendly. I have also had very positive experiences with management. They are supportive and available. The facility is very clean. The food is very good with a wide selection of daily choices. There are numerous daily activities for the residents if they choose to participate. I definitely recommend the Montera to anyone considering a home for a loved one.

My friend gets the best care here.
September 2020
We have just moved our 94 yr old mom here and everyone was so helpful about the move. She has memory loss that her Doctors say is normal for a person her age. Simple things like turning on a television can sometimes be easy and other times, well, she cannot manage it. She calls us, we call the front desk and in minutes someone has helped her figure it out. Today the problem was that she had unplugged it to turn it off and then forgot that she did it. Everyone is sweet to her. They never make her feel bad about these memories lapses. They take very good care of her. The new remodeled spaces are very nice. So far, after about a month, we could not be happier. The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful and caring and that is the most important thing about the home. The food is good and the dining facilities are excellent. We cant wait for the new movie theatre to be open.

My mother in law has been a resident at the Montera since August 2018. The staff is very kind and caring. She enjoys the food and has made many friends. There have been minimal issues with the care she receives and when I have had a concern, it was addressed quickly and professionally. The front desk staff always greet us when we come to visit mom. The renovations are just lovely. Most of all, my mother in law feels comfortable and has expressed that she likes the med techs who support her in her activities of daily living. Shout out to Oscar at the front desk for making us feel so welcomed and to Brooke who has been incredibly responsive and helpful.

My grandmother Pat Lindley has been living here for almost 2 1, 2 years. She wasnt sure about it at first but, just a week after moving in, she decided to stay. I started to visit shortly after she moved in and I love it. I love going to Friday church service with her. The people are really nice. Grandma seems to be thriving here and she seems to be well taken care of. Thank you for taking care of Grandma. As long as shes still kicking, I will keep coming.

It is unfortunate that false information has been reported about this community. Though HIPAA prevents community from discussing specific cases, the State has visited the building on several occasions with no deficiencies cited. The common areas have been completely remodeled and the dining experience is exceptional - on par with resort style services. The Care Team has several years of combined experience in geriatrics, with RN oversight. I encourage you to visit this community and see for yourself!
June 2019
My family member was a resident at the Montera for over a year. If only the facility itself was a great as the staff was. Outside of the common areas (which were recently nicely upgraded), the rest of the place definitely lacks eye appeal. That said, the quality of care is most important, and the Montera is very good in this regard.

Common areas recently upgraded and really looks good. Bookselves arent designed for easy access by residents. Rooms and hall ways could use some upgrades. New bookshelf is designed for easy access, maybe my prior post made a difference.

Partners Dad is here in retirement and care, the building has many issues, and could be repaired and improved for retired people in need. Also the flap going in the front door people trip on it all the time, and my partners dad has fallen there several times, a flat flush door jam should be installed here at the entrance to the lobby! Dangerous!
