Our family was extremely pleased with the care our 94yr old mom received at Westmont San Miguel. Although she recently passed away it was important to us as a family to thank all the staff for the exceptional care she received these last 5yrs. The caregivers are compassionate, patient, treating her with dignity and respect even after her health began to fail. The nursing staff and management are responsive, communicative, and willing to answer our questions or address concerns. We are grateful to everyone at Westmont for the kindness, professionalism, and dedication they show every day. We would highly recommend Westmont.

I recently toured Westmont at San Miguel Ranch and was very impressed from start to finish. The community is beautiful, clean, and has such a warm, welcoming feel the moment you walk in. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions, making the entire experience comfortable and informative. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents and take pride in what they do. I also loved seeing the amenities and activity spaces—there’s a great mix of opportunities for residents to stay active, social, and engaged. It really feels like a vibrant community rather than just a place to live. Overall, touring Westmont gave me a lot of confidence in the level of care and lifestyle they provide. I would definitely recommend scheduling a tour if you’re exploring senior living options in the area.

I am a nurse that works at a skilled nursing facility. When a resident from Westmont San Miguel Ranch came to our skilled nursing for therapy they did not stop praising how amazing the staff was at San Miguel Ranch. I can tell immediately how soon they wanted to go back and return to their home. They talked highly of the services that is provided there, the attention to details of the staff for their residents, and all the fun activities that happens in their memory care department. They also spoke good things of the culinary department whenever I would serve them their food, saying how they miss the home cooked feel of San Miguel Ranch. I would definitely consider allowing my loved ones to be a part of a grand community like San Miguel Ranch.

From the moment I entered Westmont of San Miguel, I was struck by the community’s luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious lobby, elegant concierge area, and beautiful elevators created the impression of a high-end hotel, with ample space designed for comfort and convenience. I was fortunate to be given a tour by Rose, who was vocal, attentive, and engaging throughout. She provided clear and transparent information about pricing and addressed every question I had. As we toured the private studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites, I found each floor plan to be both visually appealing and financially reasonable for both assisted living and memory care. During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Executive Director Jessica Zepeda. Her warm smile, sincerity, and passion for her work were immediately evident. She treats residents with genuine love and respect, and it is clear she is deeply involved in their daily lives. Her dedication to creating a positive environment for residents was inspiring. I was also impressed by the community’s activity calendar, which was filled with engaging, stimulating, and enjoyable options. Residents were actively participating, and the energy in the community was vibrant. The fully equipped and thoughtfully designed gym offers residents a safe way to stay active. Every area of the building is beautifully maintained, full of life, and filled with friendly staff members who appeared genuinely happy in their work. I enjoyed meeting several team members, including Zen, the Resident Services Director, who was a pleasure to speak with. This was, without a doubt, the most impressive tour I have experienced among all the communities I have visited. My expectations were exceeded in every way, and Westmont of San Miguel is now my top choice for assisted living. Well done, Westmont!

My father lived at Westmont for 3 months. During that time he received excellent care from all the staff. The nursing department, from its leadership down to the caregivers, were caring, attentive, and most importantly, patient with my father and his various needs and demands. All staff I encountered, not just nursing, I found to be very caring as well. Even the food, which my father was particularly difficult about at prior facilities, he did not complain about at Westmont I highly recommend Westmont.

Our mom has been at Westmont for about a month. This Westmont facility is very nice and is well maintained. She’s adjusting well and has been engaging with staff and her fellow residents on a daily basis. The Residence Coordinators have been very accommodating from the beginning of the process and the people working there have been very welcoming. Many of the staff members already know our mom by name. Mom has been participating in many of the daily planned activities offered. Westmont hosted the very nice welcome party, with family members and close friends in attendance. We were very pleased with that we had the ability to choose all aspects of the event, including the menu. The food provided was delicious and plentiful!

At age 93, my mom transisioned to heaven in March 2024. I was blessed to get my mom in Westmont San Miguel Ranch assist living home. The process of completing the paperwork and documents was amazingly easy. Rachel Hagopian was our hands-on processor to insure that all the paperwork was completed and kept the entire process stress-free. We were so blessed to have Rachel answering all our questions and never leaving our side. My Mom became a resident at Westmont San Miguel Ranch upon her not being able to live alone in her own home. Arriving at Westmont San Miguel Ranch, it was the most uplifting day of her life. All of staff was amazing, caring, loving, extremely warm and friendly. Prior to leaving your own home, she was in a state of heavy depression for months until she arrived at her new home at Westmont San Miguel Ranch. It was like a miracle had taken place. Her depression totally disappeared and joy was completely restored to her life. She repeatedly asked the staff how did my son find this beautiful elegant assist living home. She raved about how loving, friendly, and tentative all the staff was from the upper management to the cleaning team. She loved the food. She made friends with other resident tenants immediately. Eveyone we came upon was so friendly. She loved her apartment and set up of her private room. She repeatedly stated how happy she was which put tears to my eyes. I only wanted the best for my mom and Westmont San Miguel Ranch exceeded every expectation. Her care team was the best anyone could ever have at her side daily. As her son, I was truly blessed to see my mom stress-free and full of joy up to her final days of life. Thank You so much Westmont San Miguel Ranch and Care Team for your love and care. You will always have a very special place close to my heart for what your done to bring joy into my mother's life. God Bless, You're the best!

Our family got to a point when we needed to find full-time care for my mother-in-law, who has advanced dementia. It was difficult finding just the right place. We are thrilled to say that her placement at Westmont, San Miguel, (Compass Rose Unit) has been the BEST decision we could have made. Jeremy and the care staff have been AMAZING! We were so worried about this transition and after our visit with her today felt such a huge sigh of relief. She is happy and well cared for!! If you are debating whether or not to place your family member in the care of Westmont staff, call to schedule a tour and see for yourself. We are so glad we took that first step! **6 month update: after six months at Westmont, my mother-in-law continues to be very happy. Her physical health has improved. She is gaining weight and actually has been removed from hospice care. We are nothing but amazed. I have been thoroughly impressed with the many caretakers and staff I encountered. The activities provided for the memory care patients provide much-needed mental stipulation for patients with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We are so grateful.

My grandma lived at Westmont San Miguel Ranch for about a year before she passed. Everyone was so wonderful. The care team was so patient with her. The ED was always available to us when in need. The dining and housekeepers need a shout out too. My grandma was on Calstro Hospice when she passed and they worked wonderful together. It made a hard time so much easier. I would recommend this community!

I have been at many facilities all over San Diego and I can say that this building is clean and you feel it as soon as you walk in the door. There is plenty of parking for families when they visit. Our family recently placed our elderly parents into the care of Westmont of San Miguel Ranch. One parent has memory loss and the other was hospitalized with a broken hip. It was not an easy task placing them together in a care facility and Rose Estrada was instrumental in our achieving this goal. Her support, patience, kindness, as well as her follow-through with our family was unending. My mother began her stay at Compass Rose at the end of April. My deciding factor in choosing Westmont was the immediate sense of comfort I felt upon touring the residence and also how welcoming and friendly the staff were. It felt like home and I felt I was leaving my mom who has dementia in good hands. The Compass Rose Service Director is fantastic and always willing to help above and beyond. He is very prompt in communicating if there are any issues. In addition the activities director does an amazing job of having fun and creative activities for the residents. My mom adjusted better than anticipated and is thriving in her new community. She loves participating in all activities and really likes the staff that helps her out day to day. They are very caring. I’m very happy I chose Westmont San Miguel!

Until recently, I would have given Westmont 5 stars but since the director, Randal, left, there are certain issues that have arisen which we hope will be resolved now that a new director has stepped in. The facility is beautiful, the staff is friendly and kind, the menus are quite good. Concerns over the quality of laundry care and the need to pay attention to technology within the individual's rooms needs improvement.

We have had an overall positive experience the past 6 months of living here. The best thing we have found about Westmont at San Miguel Ranch is the physical and occupational therapy programs available to us. My husband and I needed to continue physical therapy prescribed for us before we moved. The head of the program is a knowledgeable, professional and empathetic young woman named Christina Nunez of ONR. She has made sure that the treatments offered, including massage therapy, make going to physical and occupational therapy easy and enjoyable as well as effective.

We moved my 97 year old mother in law closer to our home. We are very pleased as the staff is very nice and she is participating in the activities! She was in a much larger totally independent facility but as she aged the longer distances to meals and activities caused her to discontinue things she once enjoyed. The happy hour was so much fun! Harley arranged a singer from tribute band to Queen called Kings of Queen. She and another another resident sang along when he sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. A favorite was an art appreciation of Monet! It was so interesting ! Harley had a video on his life and paintings and passed out an info sheet and colored pencils and a picture of his to color. As you can see Aurelie is happily coloring! She is attending chair yoga and chair and abs and balance class and I can tell it is empowering for her. We appreciated the welcome Isabel and the staff gave her when she arrived. There are always adjustments to a transition but the staff is receptive to our input and responsive. It is a good place for her and we are very happy with her move and her apartment Is lovely! Isabel was very helpful in explaining the process and even referred an excellent moving company who did a great job at a reasonable price. They made it SO easy!
