Activities and residents - Eli keeps the activities upbeat and exciting for the residents. You can see the joy and peace on their faces when being entertained by the various assortment of musicians, singers and dancers that serve at PVH Nursing facility. My group New Vision has been coming to this facility almost 3 years and we look forward to sharing our music and having Eli join in with us. Always a blessed time.

I was admitted to Paradise Valley Health Care Center in January 2023 for a serious hip injury. The entire staff - nurses, nurse assistants, physical therapists, administration and activities staff were excellent - very kind, efficient and fun! What also seems exceptional is the comradery among the staff. The facility is very clean and the food is very good & balanced, with a variety each week - with options if you want something else for your meal. I would highly recommend Paradise Valley Health Care Center.

From Brianna in social services to the charge nurses on the second floor (Marisol, Ruby, Archie, Skye), amazing PT and OT staff and all of the wonderful CNAs supported Mama from day one until she danced down the red carpet on her way home!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this facility. My grandmother stayed here for over a month on the rehab side while she recovered from pneumonia and COVID. The facility is very clean and welcoming. All of the staff provide excellent, attentive care. The case manager Bri was very responsive and helpful. Gary, the charge nurse on the first floor was so kind and communicative and always followed through on every request or concern brought to him. I wish I could thank each staff member individually for the great care they gave to my grandmother but I do not know all of their names. What I do know is that I would highly recommend this facility for my friends and family and will not hesitate to bring my grandmother back here should the need arise.

Both my parents were patients at this location! The whole staff is very welcoming to my parents and my family! The two Social workers, Brianna and Nicole are hands down the best in their profession! Ms Diane, the charge nurse for the 3rd floor was just simply amazing!!! My parents are more than grateful for all of them! Bottom line, the healthcare workers are very caring and respectful!!!

I've worked in and visited several skilled nursing facilities in my career, and I can honestly say it is one of the best in San Diego. They've done some excellent renovations to make it feel new and modern. The facility is very clean. The rehab team is outstanding and works tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes for their patients. There are some incredible nurses as well. I think, like every facility, there are some minor issues and ways to improve. However, the administration in this facility is very accessible with any concerns and strives to make the patients as comfortable as possible during their stay. Social services is very communicative with families throughout their stay and very helpful with discharge planning.

I was pleasantly surprised when I called to confirm my moms arrival from the hospital, the nurse answered all my questions and knew all about her condition. Facility is clean smells fresh I met with the speech therapist the following morning and had a treatment plan all set up. In general the staff I met with was knowledgeable and compassionate.

Outside landscaping was wonderful and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. You need a sign on front entrance to let people know door is locked and use phone and side entrance. We stood at the entrance door for several minutes while 3 staff members just sat there and talked. They looked over and saw us but did nothing to get up and help us. We werent the only ones. Even some residents were outside waiting to come back in. We had to tell the staff. Maybe a camera to show the front desk staff that people are waiting at the door? Facilities were clean. Patient room was rather dark and bleak. My relative is legally blind. Maybe some music would be soothing instead of only the loud cries out from her roommate.

I wanted to thank the Paradise Valley staff for everything they did for my family! My sister was taken care of years ago in their facility. Now that my husband needed short term rehab and nursing care, I did not hesitate to choose Paradise. My true opinion is that they are #1 in San Diego. My husband was sent here for rehab after a bout of pneumonia. The facility was clean and the staff was very good. P.T. and O.T. worked with him daily to help him get his strength and balance back. They have a really nice activity dept with lots going on all day. The food overall was good for institutional food. It is an older building that could use some cosmetic care in places but I never smelled urine or other smells associated with many nursing homes. If the need arises again I'd have no problem returning for care.

I want to say thank you to all the staff for helping me get better! I have a friend that lives in the facility and that was the reason I chose to be sent there. I always have known about the excellent care of this facility because of how much he tells me. Now that I experienced it firsthand, I truly agree. When I first got admitted I had lots of questions. The nurses and admission staff were very nice in explaining everything. The cna’s and all the workers in therapy were very nice too. The food was ok but they always offered me other options if I wasn’t happy with what was given. Activities really kept us entertained. My stay was wonderful.

This place is excellent, and by that i meant that I don't think they can do anything to get any better. The people here are caring from my personal experience, from the medical staff to the activity staff to the physical therapy they are really dedicated to do their job, and the professionalism is way beyond my standards, I couldn't ask for any better you can tell everybody here does everything with a smile and they enjoy their job. the most important part is that everybody here wants me to get better and meet my goals. As far as activities, the entertainment is great. The staff is very encouraging to residents and welcoming, the ladies make an effort and go the extra mile for us, the residents.

This place truly has helped me. I've been here a few times now and the staff here treat me like family. Josh in admissions has been very helpful. He even emailed me when I went home to Mexico to see how I was doing. Everyone greets me with a smile. The nurses here always check on me to see if I need anything. Therapy has been excellent. With 2 failed knee replacements, I really needed to get back on my feet and therapy was able to help me with that. They worked with my insurance to make sure I got the max benefits with the least amount of out of pocket expense. I have been blessed to find this place. If you're looking for a place for rehab, this is the place. I am more than happy to write this review. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

If you're looking for a place to take a family member Paradise Manor is where you want them to be. The staff is amazing and truly care about each patient. They have a small little salon inside so patients can maintain their dignity while recovering, activities, and the facility is very clean. Brianna "Social Service Director" goes above and beyond to communicate with family members to make sure they understand treatment plans, she has caring spirit wants the best for each patient. If there's a concern she makes it a priority to look into it. Aaron(Administrator) is hands on and is very aware of the day to day operations. Rosalind (Dietary Directory) will sit down with the patient and make sure your meals are balanced to achieve overall wellness. The nursing staff are some of the best in San Diego. When patients are discharged they're recognized by rolling out the red carpet with the staff lined up on each side as they celebrate their recovery. If it's up to me... Paradise Manor will be the only place I'll send my family memebers as long as they continue to have the staff they have now

First off, I wish I had known about PVM&HCC when my Mother and Godfather had to be placed for a short time after each hospitalization. I am in awe at the care my husband is getting here. I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone seems so in tune to his needs. He's getting stronger by the day! We all have a choice in who will care for our loved ones when need be....I wholeheartedly recommend this Center. I'll be honest, the food sucks, but it does most everywhere that they cook in huge amounts. (However, if you're looking for fantastic Hunan Chicken...they have the best here)And what's food compared to an awesome Nursing staff? My hat ?? is off to everyone at PVM&HCC. 5stars hardly covers the spectacular job they all do. I thank you from the bottom of my heart ?.

Let me start by saying that I'm a little biased because I work here in the Rehab department. But please hear me out for a minute. For the majority of my professional career as an OT(6 years) I have worked as a traveling OT. So I've worked in many rehab facilities throughout the country(HI, NJ, TX, FL, and CA). With confidence I can say that Paradise is head and shoulders above the rest. I became a part of the Paradise family last September. Please pay particular attention to the word family. I say family because of the closeness of the staff, the atmosphere in the building, and the patient care delivered. When a patient is admitted here they become part of our extended family. We want to see them get healthy, help them return to their previous lifestyle, and get them home. Let me finish by saying that I would have no reservations about sending my parents or relatives here. So if you're looking for a place to send a loved one. Please come see Paradise for yourself and let your loved one become a part of our family.

My mom has dementia and is blind and bed ridden. These are her only problems now. After a very long road of fighting many illnesses and two near death experiences, we finally tried Paradise Valley. When she arrived at Paradise Valley she was in such a bad state that we did not expect her to make it through. All her children from all over the USA were invited to come say goodbye to her while she was still alive. What a surprise to all of us when the nurses and CNAs nursed her back to health!! Now she is responsive, she sings when I play her favorite music, she eats all her food and she is content. I thank God for Paradise Valley Manor and the great care they have given to my mom!!!!!

I have been an occupant in Paradise Manor for the past three months. My experience has been one of hands on, day today living. I'm not one of the occasional visitor that expert perfection.The services I receive here daily are bed made, meals served, laundry done and medication administered; all in a harmonious manner with lots of chuckles and smiles. My own experience with the staff has been exceptionally. They work directly with patients that are incontinent, and often times unable to move from different cerebral accident just to mention a few. In spite of this they perform their duties in a professional and caring manner and still have time for us less that require less care. I have often asked myself how they could possible do what they do, and still respond to me with the compassion that they exhibit. We all know that the folks who do the hardest work in our society are the ones that earn the least. They often times comes from the minorities, making for a mixed and colorful group that speak many different languages, However, in My experience when dealing with Me, they speak English, and insist I do the same as I often times try to speak Spanish. I have went from a crushed Hip socket, fractured spine, and broken ribs to walking a mile daily without a limp. I'm eternally grateful to the staff for bringing Me to this point in 12 weeks. Human relations being what they are, I hope that the staff will overlook My sometimes criticism,,,,,,

My grandmother was here for a few weeks, and it was a very emotional time for my family and I. But the CNA's & Nurses were very comforting and attentive. They listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions that we had about her health and progress. She was very comfortable and the love and support from our CNA Lily was exceptional. I couldn't have been more pleased with her stay there. It's a facility like this that makes her recovery a bit easier for her to get through this. I can't thank them enough.
