As you search for a senior living community, understand that research is key. It’s important to consider the amenities offered, activities, and any services provided to the residents. With so many choices for New Mexico senior living communities, understand that there are a variety of options for you to consider. Take the time to determine what level of care is needed to help you choose the right facility for your needs.
Our goal is to find the best New Mexico senior living communities for you in order to help you do your research. We look for areas of interest within the state in general, and then we look for senior living communities that provide a range of benefits to the residents within each area.
Choosing the Right New Mexico Senior Living Community
If you are finding a senior living community for a loved one, how close they will be to you isn’t the only aspect to consider. You will also want to take a look at how close they will be to any specialists they may need, their primary care doctor, and proximity to area hospitals. You will want to know what type of transportation is available for appointments. You will want to know how involved you will need to be, when it comes to the care your loved one receives while living in a senior living community in New Mexico.
How New Mexico Senior Living Communities are Ranked
When we try to find out the best senior living facilities in New Mexico, we take time to do our research. We look at reviews from a wide range of sources, and we look at the New Mexico Department of Community Health to make sure there are no compliance violations for the facility. We check Google, Facebook, and multiple senior living online sources to come up with our own determination regarding the facilities in the area.
In your search, you also want to be sure that you can afford the assisted living facility you are interested in. You can expect to pay an average of $4,050 for assisted living in New Mexico. Cost is anywhere between $3,99-$4,800, depending on the facility. Your housing will be included, as well as meals, and basic services such as laundry. If you need additional care with memory care or a nursing home, this will be more expensive.

My 93-year-old mom spent the last few months of her life in this assisted living setting. Our family sincerely thanks MorningStar staff and administration for everything.

What residents and loved ones have to say about 1st Premier Home Care Albuquerque:
My mothers ability to care for herself was in decline but she refused to live in assisted living. I promised her that I would do what I could to keep her at home. Well, I found 1st Premier online and am so glad I called them. They send my mom a caregiver 3 days a week to help around the house and run errands. My mom looks forward to seeing her and is asking to have her 5 days a week. I’m happy my moms spirits have improved since we started with 1st Premier.

What residents and loved ones have to say about The Village at Northrise:
Both my mother and father were residents in the memory care unit before their passing. There are not enough words do describe the excellent care they both received from Bonnie Zeiler, the director and her most competent and caring staff. My father was diagnosed in 2009 and passed in 2013. My mom was diagnosed in 2017 and passed in December of 2020. During their individual residencies there was never a time that I ever once doubted our decisions to give them the best care they both deserved which we found with Bonnie and the Village at Northrise.

My brother is living in The Legacy’s Memory Care. I live on the East Coast, so communicating with Staff is very important to me. Ruben Vasquez, the Director of Community Affairs is a wonder. He is truly concerned about The Legacy’s residents and answers the family’s questions fully and in a timely fashion. I believe my brother is being very well cared for.
