My Grandmother lived here for a while. It was nice living quarters and the seniors have a chance to socialize and stay active with events and activities. I work at Sandia Vista Senior Living and feel so lucky to have landed in such a special place! Many of the other staff members have been in service here for many, many years and I think it speaks highly of an organization that can retain its people so well! The residents and staff have cultivated a warm and friendly culture, rich with a sense of love and community - people are genuinely happy living and working here. The interior finishes are updated and pretty with lots of colorful art throughout! The campus is gorgeous with big beautiful mature trees and a lovely courtyard. The property is tucked away off the beaten path and feels like a hidden oasis in the city. This is a joyful place! 🙂

I've lived here for 5 years and I love my neighbors and the long-time staff because they keep me going. I am also an ambassador here and volunteer to run bingo. I have enjoyed the trips we've gone on like the Arizona trip for instance. Sandia Vista has been a blessing to me.

Moved my mother here 7 months ago and everything has been fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better place for her. I have been looking at Senior Living facilities for 2 years and I decided on Sandia Vista. I have been here for for a month and I love living here! The staff are excellent and the food is very good. They have food available between the regular meal times. The rooms are spacious and clean. Every apartment has a complete kitchen, even a dishwasher! The facility is very pet friendly and they have a dog park . The grounds are beautiful for walking or just sitting outside. The people I've met are friendly and enjoy living here. There are activities for everyone and a variety of trips planned. I highly recommend anyone to chose Sandia Vista for Senior Living.

My brother lives here. We couldn't be happier with the staff here. They are very attentive and always kind. The staff is very interactive with the residence always making them feel important, valued and respected. The rooms are clean and spacious. Even the studio has plenty of room for 1 person. They have many daily activities here to keep residence enjoying there days. Sandia Vista is a safe and joyous place to live.

I just moved my father into this retirement community. He was living on his own and was declining even with my sister and I checking on him 4 times a week. He's here on hospice now, and they offer a la carte care services, but you don't have to have anything extra. Vince is amazing! The vibe is so good. I feel like the price may be the best in Albuquerque! Love it!

A nice and quiet environment where my good friend has chosen to live on. After his retirement, he lived on his own for several years alone at an apartment unit, but several years later, as he enjoyed his retirement years, his sister noticed what I've already had observed as his close friend, being alone on his own was becoming a challenge for him. They spoke about moving to the State she lived in, but he felt cozier there in the city he had called home for several decades . They chose Sandia Vista Senior Living, and now for the years ahead, right there in the heart of his beloved city of Albuquerque, he gets to enjoy a more fulfilling environment where he isn't alone on his own but has a network of loving caring staff and even neighbors whom like him, are on the Sunset of their lives and enjoying a great environment all around without a doubt. We visited our brother and sister--in-law at Sandia Vista Senior Living. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the apartments. We enjoyed the gardens and fountain outside. The roses, snapdragons and other plants were beautiful. The tomato plants are growing very well and should produce delicious tomatoes in about a month. The residents we met were all very friendly. This place is extremely excellent better then other places I've heard about. They provid activities that allow the residents to get out in to public to go do and see things. Provide great customer service to all the resident an family members of the residents. There really involved with the residents here always having activities planned in the lounge. Have mass church on Wednesday. Just a overall great community surrounded by great people.

What a pleasant surprise stepping into Sandia Vista Senior Living entry to see my name on a white board and meeting a resident waiting my arrival. She was well matched with similar yet quite different life experiences, hobbies and interests, even her pets! People in the main area were chatting away, preparing for some activity, yet took the time to look up and acknowledge my presence. In the hallways, others stopped and introduced themselves. I could tell they were genuinely pleased with their decision to move into Sandia Vista. I did arrive in the midst of renovations that included new flooring, painting walls, etc. that is updating the common areas. The apartments seem to be larger than other living places I visited. The size of kitchen, balconies, and closets provide a sense of spaciousness larger than ordinary. This is a lovely campus with delightful residents, attentive staff, and well, almost like home.

My mother-in-law was cared for at Sandia Vista for 8 years before she passed. Treatment was excellent. A personal relationship between staff, my mother-in-law, and our family developed as we shared the days together. Food was excellent, as was the service provided. More recently, we have helped a family member become a resident at Sandia Vista who has early stages of Alzheimer's. We were encouraged to discover that much of the original staff we knew from my mother-in-laws stay were still working at Sandia Vista. Once again, care has been excellent, food is better than ever, and the personal attention given to care for our family member is more than we could have expected. The staff, and the care teams that assist the staff are top notch. We recommend Sandia Vista highly.

When my son and I visited Sandia Vista,we were very impressed. The two staff members we met were kind and answered all my questions. Everything FELT right. They stressed that everyone was kind and friendly. Of course, everyone always says that, right. But, it turns out that they were right! I even told them that. Sandia Vista is clean; the food is good; the people are friendly, and the building is very well maintained. What can I say? This is my home; it feels like home. I'm happy here.

Dealing with arthritis,bad knees, hip and having a bad fall prompted the decision to find 24/7 assistance should it become necessary after checking several possibilities I chose Sandia Vista. I have lived here for 3 years and am very satisfied with the assistance and security I was looking for. Our director Aubrey, keeps us up to date on happenings effecting us and the complex. I have lived here for 4 years.The staff is amazing, if you have questions they find out the answers, if they don't already know it. The food is overall good. My girls liked the location and the community.That is why I moved here. If you're here to make friends it is easy to do. The dining room is a good place to meet them. We have a lot of activities in our beautiful courtyard. The transportation situation is good and they take you to tours around town and out of town also.

Sandia Vista has been awesome in its support of the the gentleman i work with at all points of his experience, from the initial tour, finalizing the details of his move in and now with his transition to a smaller apartment. There has been a hiccup with a new bed delivery and moving the existing bed which is a small adjustable bed/ hospital bed. Yvonne suggested the perfect solution by offering a guest suite for a few days. This was wonderful for my client as his anxiety over the details of it all slowly came down when this option was presented. Thank you. Its been a wonderful residence for him. All staff are kind and friendly. I would definitely suggest Sandis Vista as a senior living option!

I have called Sandia Vista my home for almost one year now and I absolutely love it. I visited other senior homes, but none had the special warm feeling of Sandia Vista. I truly love the residents, the workers, the leadership team, and the gorgeous courtyard. Everyone is so caring and the residents have the "best" stories. Everybody really cares about you here. Our food is excellent and I am very happy with the staff and have connected well with the residents. If you have a question it gets answered right away. I was hesitant when I first moved in to join any activities,but everyone makes you feel like you are a part of the community and it's so natural it doesn't feel forced.The Sunday trips and bingo have been my favorite. Since I've been living here I wake up everyday looking forward to what we are going to do next. This is my new home and I feel safe, cared for. I really like it here.

My mom and dad moved into this facility 4 yrs ago after checking many others. Two years ago my mom passed, my dad, age 95, who is legally blind remained in the spacious 2 bedroom apartment where he knew how to move around and where everything is located. My dad often mentions how happy he is here with facilities and inclusions in the rent. Most of all he lauds staff repeatedly and the care and concern he is given. I'm the only child and live in another state and am also delighted because staff, no matter what the position from front desk to dining room/kitchen, driver, maintenance, et al, are wonderful. The ability of residents to participate and be driven to appointments and shopping is valuable to no end. In mentioning I would write this he wanted me to be sure to say he has no complaints and is very glad he is here.

My in-laws were able to live here for several years. They absolutely loved it and our entire family was very appreciative of the entire staff. Their apartment fit their needs well, the food was delicious (we ate with them in the dining room many times), the activities for their residents were fun and engaging, and the location was near the freeway so family members could easily come visit from various parts of Albuquerque. My in-laws enjoyed using the transportation van for events offered through Sandia Vista and also for medical appointments, when needed. As a family member who worries about my aging in-laws, it gave me comfort to know there was someone always on staff that was available to help 24/7 if there was any type of emergency. We were kept "in the loop" of any needs or issues. Also, during the onset of Covid, the facility and staff members did an excellent job of keeping everyone safe and cared for. Our family is forever endeared to Yvonne Silva for her extended kindness (to not only our family members), but to every resident at Sandia Vista. If you are considering retirement community apartments, definitely give Sandia Vista Senior Living a visit.

I moved here from another independent senior community over the weekend and my experience here has been amazing! I would have to say Sandia Vista is like Paris and my experience at the other community was like El Paseo. The food is amazing and the environment is welcoming. Sandia Vista's staff seems to have good leadership and people skills. For instance Sandia Vista staff knows everybody by name and remembers you and your preferences.

My 90 year old mother has lived at the facility for several years now. The care and attention she has received has been top notch. Most recently, there has been enhancement to the restaurant, and they are investing in several capital improvements for the building. The staff has been helpful in getting my mother to appointments, activities and special events.Aubrey, Melissa and the staff have done an outstanding job in dealing with the Covid Pandemic. Under Aubreys (and Melissas) leadership, they were able to balance the safety of the residents with the emotional needs of the residents. They procured, scheduled and implemented vaccination days for the facility. There have been zero fatalities or illness due to Covid at the facility, and I believe this is due to the policies and procedures put in place by the management team.I live over a thousand miles from Albuquerque, and it gives me great peace of mind knowing that my mom is being taken care of by such a great team of caring, kind, and patient professionals.

My mother has lived at Las Colinas, Sandia Vista Senior Living for 3-1, 2 years. Changes in staff and management during that time have made Sandia Vista an even better place to live.During the pandemic, every staff member has been committed to keeping the residents safe, healthy and as happy as possible at this extraordinary time. Aubrey Edmonds and Melisa Tapia lead the team and work tirelessly to provide meals and activities to residents apartments (until we are back to normal), offer safe entertainment options, ZOOM meetings with family and friends, keep families informed in weekly Zoom meetings about their loved ones well being and arrange vaccine clinics on property. All this and more while being vigilant about keeping COVID-19 out of this special community.When you visit Sandia Vista, in person or online, take a look at the patio and raised beds. My mom was a tenant of Los Colinas for 2 1, 2 years. I visited a lot of facilities before I selected Los Colinas. I selected it because from the moment you drive up the environment is inviting (large, old trees, a lot of space, staff walking dogs, a great garden, patio area). It made me feel like it was home for my mom. Ive seen a lot of senior places as I took care of my aunt and my dad for many years. Los Colinas BY FAR has the most caring, friendly staff. Ive experienced a lot of grumpy people that take care of the elderly but I never experienced this at Los Colinas - from the dining room staff, to the front desk, maintenance personnnel and their healthcare aides, Gemini Home Healthcare, Ive never experienced one person being grumpy with the tenants. Thats quite an accomplishment. I found that the food was good and the atmosphere made my mom feel at home. They recently changed administrators, and I was a bit worried about the new management due to the factor of the unknown. However, the new administrator, Aubrey Edmonds, is excellent. She had to see me through a very difficult period of moving my mother to memory care. This could have been unpleasant, but Aubrey handled herself with such grace and professionalism is made a very difficult situation much better. I wouldnt hesitate to have a loved one move to Los Colinas.

My grandma moved from Albuquerque to Hawaii for 50 years then back to Abq to spend her last year and half in Las Colinas. In my weekly visits I noticed that she was genuinely happy there, enjoyed the programming and that they were just nice people that worked there watching out for the elder folks. They were also very professional in making sure the end was comfortable for the family as she had passed peacefully and staff informed us immediately. She always had her independence there, but some kind soul had a feeling and checked on her that particular morning. My Mom lived here for the last 3 & 1, 2 years of her life. The community was loving and supportive. She had some pretty strict dietary issues (gluten-free , celiac) and Chef Stuart worked with her to provide good healthy options that worked for her.
