Hickory Hills is a great place for someone living with Dementia. They are very attentive. Residents are able to roam and be free and behaviors are accepted with dignity and respect. I love parenting with them and assisting with monthly activities. They are always engaging. The staff and care are amazing.. I have recommended many families to Hickory Hills.

I have had the opportunity to work PRN shifts with this facility and I have loved every minute of it. I work at several different facilities and I have never had the experience that I have had here. The employees work as a team even the admin will come out and help if needed. Best place ever to work for and the best place for a loved one to call home.

I have worked here since 2017. It's a wonderful place to work and I enjoy my job and my residents. The environment here truly feels like family. The residents are the best part of my job and ensuring they have the best quality of care is the most important thing to me. PLUS I get to bring my dog Sadie to work. It really does not feel like a job for me.

Our family has been so incredibly blessed by Hickory Hills. Both our mom and dad came to Hickory Hills about one year ago. They were coming from a different assisted living facility (in a different city)where they were very unhappy. They had both stopped eating and were in very poor health. They were opposing their caregivers, whom we began to feel were not very kind to them. After just one month at Hickory Hills, Bridgettes wonderful cooking had them eating so well, they gained some weight and began to be more active. Dad was so relaxed and involved, he began asking for jobs around the place! We hadnt seen him that happy in a few years! Mom developed a new social circle and could safely walk daily as she lives to do.Sadly, our dad passed away at the first of the year. This was when we saw the true passions of our Hickory Hills family. They surrounded us and mom with such tender care. We have felt so many blessings by these beautiful caregivers. We have complete peace of mind now that mom is surrounded by friends and caring professionals.Thank you Hickory Hills!

First of all, it is so great to have a dedicated memory care facility north of Nashville, TN. Secondly, the atmosphere inside is friendly, warm and inviting. While there are so many good qualities to share about Hickory Hills Alzheimers Special Care Center, let it suffice to say that the design was well thought out for persons who suffer from Alzheimers and other forms of dementia. Its important to notice that the lighting is perfect as is the flow of the layout so that your loved one feels safe and sound no matter what stage of cognitive impairment is presently. I love how each resident has a personal bio outside of their room that tells about who they are in such a thoughtful way. The staff at Hickory Hills are very attentive and understanding. It is so important to know that the hands-on caregivers at Hickory Hills are dementia focused and take time with every resident to ensure quality of life. The food is superb and the activities are geared towards optimal lifestyle relative to the aging population and local culture; however all activities are tailored perfectly to enhance reminiscing or pleasurable experiences and evoke smiles. Thank-you to all the staff at Hickory Hills that work so diligently in caring for the precious souls who suffer from various degrees of impaired memory and cognition. We appreciate it, more than you can ever really know, how you pay attention to the little things in order to make aging loved ones know that they are in fact, loved!

Hands down the best place in Hendersonville! Our family are long time residents of Hendersonville, our father is here Hickory Hills. This facility has new management, the Director Roger is fantastic with lots of experience. The employees, Director of Nursing, Nutritional Manager, Maintenance Mgr are the best of the best, they have huge hearts and truly love the residents. This facility is a true memory care with lots of activities, great set-up for walking for the residents since the hallways run in a circle. My father calls it home and loves everyone there, that really makes a difference for me that he is so happy and comfortable.

We found Hickory Hills after my mother was living at another facility. We were pleased to know that the staff understands and knows how to handle behaviors that come with dementia. My mother is comfortable here and we feel comfortable leaving her in their care.

Between the girls in the front office, (in particular Sandi and Angel) the facility staff IN FULL, especially Bridgette and Karen, In caring for our Mother (When my brother and I were just overwhelmed with decisions) our fears and uncertainty went away. We visited several places and chose Hickory Hills bc of the location and people we met and liked (Loved!) The initial vibe we got was warm and caring but you still never know? Well a year and a half later we know and because of these amazing girls at this facility, who care about every single person here, my Brother and I can sleep without worry again. Without over exaggerating Hickory Hills was simply a blessing for us.......Period!

What I love about Hickory Hills is that residents have a life to live there. Theyre not shut up in rooms. Theyre playing games, going on outings, eating together, and socializing. Its very important for anyone with cognitive issues to have mental stimulation and human interaction. Very happy about Hickory Hills

My wife has been in Hickory Hills for a year now; and, I could not be more satisfied with her treatment and care. I researched all of the Memory Care facilities in the area before settling on Hickory Hills Alzheimers Special Care Center. All of them had some negative comments made including the smell and caregiver problems [especially on weekends].There is no smell issue at Hickory Hills and the whole environment is pleasant for all of the residents. Like all the others they used temporary workers on weekends until last month when they changed policy to hire just their own employees.It is the nature of this business for any of the Assisted Living places to have some negatives. It is a very, very difficult business; but, Hickory Hills Alzheimers Special Care deals with just Alzheimers and they do it very well. The staff all know my wife and call her by name. I feel like they treat her like she is family; and, likewise they treat me the same. There was a change in management this summer and the new approach seems to address all of the issues people express.t is human nature for people to post when they are upset and to keep quiet when everything is going well. Hear that .... ? That is quiet. I am posting this so that people looking for a place for their loved one know that Hickory Hills is just such a placf you need independent living with memory care, or if you need assisted living with memory care, you can look elsewhere. If its Alzheimers care you need Hickory Hills Alzheimers Special Care Center is the place. They only do Alzheimers care and they do it well.

The care that my mom received while she was there is beyond what words could say. There were her favorite care givers and there were caregivers that loved my mom as if she were their family and to me that is how it should be everywhere. They treated her with respect regardless of her mental and physical health. The facility was very clean and did not smell like some of the other facilities that my family and I have been in. Recognizing holidays big and small and just the little things that help make the residents feel special makes a world of difference. I would definitely recommend this facility for a loved one with the needs that they have to offer. I miss seeing the staff they always made my family and I feel very loved.

My Dads time at Hickory Hills was fairly short (7 months), but our experience was very good. The building is very nice with an upscale homey environment and is comfortable for visitors. My favorite spot is the outdoor courtyard where I spent relaxing time with my Dad. The rooms are a good size and the entire building is well thought out for memory care residents. The staff really cares about their residents ensuring their safety, comfort and quality of life. During my Dads final week, the staff did an amazing job taking care of him and supporting us during a very difficult time. We chose Hickory Hills after researching several others facilities in the area and are very pleased with the decision.

Wonderful feeling the staff is very special they have so much love for the residents and familys i worked there for a year in management The loving and careing was always the same whether family was there or not . I can honesty say out of all the places i have worked the last 30 years this is the best by far. If you are looking for a place to take a love one look no farther you just found it.
