The layout of this community makes it ideal for residents with memory impairment who like to walk. I like the idea of the 4 quads or neighborhoods and a sort of town hall feel in the center where all residents can come together for group activities. The outside courtyard area is very secure and inviting with lots of walking trails for residents to get exercise and fresh air.

The Leadership (specifically Ms Elaine, Charisma, and Sharene) and staff went above and beyond to ensure that my mother had a smooth transition to the Madeline. I was very hesitant as transitioning your parent to a care facility is a difficult, emotional decision. The facility is clean and professional; a place that I am proud to tell others that my mother is a resident. Communication is good, I have met all of the leadership, and the kitchen staff is accommodating my mother's vegetarian diet. I admitted my mother during COVID but thankfully at a time when some visitation is allowed.

The Madeline of Decatur is the cleaning facility the staffing are very friendly Resident always very happy and smiling as a dietary cook for the past 14 years experience. If you are looking for somewhere too work , that is rewarding, fulfilling and all around fun , then the Madelune is the place for you. The Management Staff goes all out to ensure that the staff feels valued and appreciated. Weve had cookouts, themed days of the week, prizes,birthday and any other special occasions celebrated. Everyone works well as a team. It shows in the care that is given to our Residents. Working with individuals with memory care issues is not always easy, but it can be rewarding, so when your Mangement Team goes above and beyond to make your work experience special thats icing on the cake. My mother has lived at Madeline for almost three years, and I have nothing but praise for the facility and the staff. The entire staff works together to make residents feel comfortable, happy, and loved. Caring for residents with dementia can be difficult, but Madeline employees handle every situation in a loving, respectful way. Activities are fun and engaging. My mother has been happy and content, and it gives me peace of mind to know she is safe and feels loved. I highly recommend The Madeline of Decatur!

Beautiful and clean buildings, and a wonderful staff. They are pleasant and polite every time I visit mom, and have been very accommodating during these difficult Covid-19 times. I am always comfortable that they are taking care of mom.

My mom was moved to the Madeline as an emergency step when her assisted living in SC became a horrible ordeal. Madeline staff worked hard to guide us and the doctors on getting paperwork completed remotely to move her down here closer to me. This all happened in the midst of the COVID lockdown so I basically moved my mom in and never saw her again. Once she became acclimated and her medicines corrected (2 weeks or so) everything was running smoothly. She calls regularly and i can easily call her. There have been video calls and updates from the staff even though visitations are still on hold due to COVID. i see photos of mom in the newsletters and fb updates and she is content and happy. Dementia is rough, but finding a company that is well run and works on the idea of giving our ailing seniors purpose in life has been fantastic! Its scary moving your loved one into a locked facility but the staff at madeline truly cares and makes it the best it can be. When i get dementia i would like a place like this to be my landing spot.

I cant praise The Madeline enough. We moved my stepfather there on Nov. 19, 2019. I remember the exact date because it was his birthday and they had an organized a huge birthday-welcome celebration for him. The staff is kind, attentive and professional. Ive been terribly pleased with their communication and how theyve done everything in their power to deal with the pandemic. I feel safe having my stepfather there and love the staff.

The Madeline is an excellent community for your loved one in need of memory care. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable in how to care for seniors who are experiencing limitations and changes in their skills and abilities. My mother lived unhappily in two other communities before arriving at The Madeline. I now know that so many senior living communities claim they know how to care for seniors with dementia and Alzheimers, but they do not. When I thought all was lost, and Id run out of options, the senior staff at Madeline convinced me to give them a chance, and I am so glad I did! Call them today and give them a chance. I have no doubt you will be impressed.

The Madeline of Decatur was the perfect place for my Mother. Mom was in the late stage of dementia and often became very confused. The staff was exceptional in helping her. The building itself is bright and clean with lovely enclosed gardens in the back. Definitely a place to provide care for your loved one.

Beautiful all memory care community located in Decatur, GA. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm Its a beautiful day at the Madeline. You will find bright hallways, friendly staff and a beautiful backyard that wraps around the community. The daily programs are specifically targeted to stimulate the residents and keep them engaged throughout the day. I highly recommend this community and if youre around the area stop by for a visit!

Beautiful setting, but only for very wealthy elderly. Does not accept medicaid, only private pay. Very, very expensive and you have to supply your loved one with all there own bedroom furniture. Other than that, it was beautiful thats why 5 stars.
