I could not have picked a better home for my mother! The residence and accommodations are top notch. Even more importantly, the staff is simply incredible. My mother's care needs have changed over time and the Arbor Terrace team has kept pace admirably, led by the hands-on leadership of the head of nursing, Angie Jackson. Angie came to the hospital to check on my mom during a stay, and provided with invaluable information and suggestions, and I never worry that my mother's needs are not being met. Most of the team members at Arbor Terrace have been there for years and they truly treat the residents like family, with care, concern and respect. I can't imagine a better choice.

I moved my mother to Arbor Terrace memory care earlier this year, and it has been wonderful for us both. The facility is beautiful and clean, and the staff is amazing. My mother lived in another community before, and our experience there was not nearly as nice. My mom is so well cared for and gets quality engagement and activity opportunities every day. The memory care floor is very well managed, and communication is always fast and effective. I have recommended Arbor Terrace to everyone I know looking for a place for their parent or grandparent. I toured every facility in the Atlanta metro, and Arbor Terrace Decatur is far and away the best choice.

I've been so impressed with Arbor Terrace. When we visited, Denise really listened to our parents' needs and made us feel that their independence will be respected living here. She helped my dad especially to feel more comfortable with having to leave his home and join a new community. All the staff are making an effort to get to know my parents as individuals. Denise, Susan, and Brittany have all gone out of their way to make the move-in process as easy as possible, from receiving furniture deliveries to helping me find the dumpster. The facility itself is also lovely. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces where people can gather, or go to be on their own. Families can reserve the Sunroom for special occasions. My mom and her granddaughter can go to the salon and get a pedicure together. There are activities and outings to suit different interests, but no one is forced to participate if they don't want to. It's such a relief to know that my parents are in a place where they can still live their own lives, but people are also looking our for their safety and helping them with the things they can no longer do.

My Moms last 3 years were spent at Arbor Terrace Evergreen unit. The team of Resident Assistants are the most loving and caring caretakers. Mom wanted to adopt them all! They will forever have a place in my heart.

We are pleased with the caring and loving attention our Mom is provided with. All of the Assistants and Staff in the Evergreen Unit care deeply for not only the residents but the family members. We have found every employee at Arbor Terrace of Decatur to be responsive to any needs or concerns.

The sense of team and camaraderie are apparent the moment you walk through the door. One of mom's caregivers suggested that I get her a newspaper, which I hadn't thought of (duh-I know that would be great for her! Get on the ball, daughter, but Ilene was there first!) Talk about patient-centered care! and staff with their hearts in the right place. Stacey who manages the 3rd floor memory care staff, does so with compassion and efficiency. A great landing place for mom!!!

My Mom moved to Arbor Terrace of Decatur 5 years ago. It is the perfect place for her! The smaller size, the responsive and caring staff, the activities and strong sense of community have all worked to have her feel very at home there. I love that she stays so active that I sometimes have to call several times in a day to reach her in her room. She is so content and comfortable there.

I love Arbor Terrace! I guess one could say I'm about as fastidious as one can be when to comes to my 104 year old mother's care. But the one thing that I can say that I truly believe, is that Arbor Terrace cares. There are always "things and particulars" about each new resident that has to be explained by the family and worked out with the staff, but the leadership at Arbor Terrace is phenomenal. The executive director, David gave me the time with him that I needed to set me on right path to meet with an awesome young women named Angie, who made me feel assured and confident that my mother would be given the best care possible, assuring me that we would all work as a team to take this happen. After our meeting she scheduled in-service meetings with her staff to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to my mother's care. We've only been at Arbor Terrace for one month, so there are minor things that we, as a team are still working through to find out the best way to give a 104 year old amputee who uses hearing aids the the most gracious living experience that she could have...And I know WE'LL DO IT!!! How do I know? Because when I told Mama that I was no longer going to be able to come to see her everyday now that I am getting back to work after being off for a year, she said "That's alright, Darling, you go ahead, I'm just fine. I don't have any worries". And I know she means it! Codie, our intake guide painted a true and honest picture of this wonderful home for seniors. Thank you, Codie and all of the Arbor Terrace staff. My mother has been at Arbor Terrace of Decatur for over a year and a half. I fell in love with the place the first time I walked into the building (and I had looked at many places for mom). Mom has Alzheimer's Disease. The memory care floor is a place where mom can feel independent, socialize with friends and be safe. Mom (and dad when he is visiting her) love the activities at Arbor Terrace which include simple things like working on puzzles as a group, music therapy, exercise class, bingo, and outings in the community. But what has made our experience at Arbor Terrace of Decatur a true blessing is the staff. My mom is blessed with a group of people who work as a team to make sure her needs are met...that she is happy and thriving, safe and clean. Thank you Arbor Terrace of Decatur!

My Mom lived at Arbor Terrace Decatur more than five years and we could not have been happier. Every staff member we met was delightful and attentive. Staff at AT went out of there way to make sure my Mom was safe and happy. The activities were and still are fun and designed to help those with memory loss retain cognitive function. The food was and I'm assuming still is nourishing and delicious. Management when my Mom was there was great. Upper management has changed since my then. Three fourths have moved on and been replaced, so I can't speak to the current management.
