Ranking the Best West Virginia Senior Living Facilities

Are you wondering how we came to our rankings for the top senior living facilities in West Virginia? We performed a wide search of the Internet to gather reviews and ratings to create a comparison list. We also checked whether the facility had any state violations or complaints and evaluated the affordability of the senior living facility.

While services and amenities are important when deciding on a senior living facility, affordability may have a deciding factor on which facility you may select. You want to ensure that you or your loved one can live comfortably without having any services interrupted due to financial hardships. The average monthly cost of an assisted living facility in West Virginia is $4,160. This price includes housing, meals, basic care services and other amenities depending on the specific facility. These prices are higher than in-home care where you only pay for specialized care. Meanwhile, assisted living facility prices are lower than nursing home prices where you would obtain a higher degree of services and care.

My mother in law has been at the community now for two years. I have nothing but good things to say and will suggest Greystone to everyone. The person who move my MIL in was so sweet and caring. She had our minds made before even stepping foot in the door. She helped us through every single step. We were scared, excited and nervous! She put our feelings at ease. The staff is wonderful and go above and beyond more times than I can count. No place is perfect, but Greystone is as close as it gets!

My dad lived here for over two years and both the staff and facilities here are wonderful. They did an outstanding job during COVID, keeping everyone safe, and I cant say enough great things about Wanda, Nancy, Ashley, Lois, Harper, Tyler, Bonnie, Loretta and all the staff that work here. The people who work here clearly love their jobs and form personal relationships with the residents, they know them all by name.

What residents and loved ones have to say about Elmhurst House of Friendship:

My mom has been at Elmhurst for almost 2 years. it is absolutely top of the line in everything. i went to get mom the other day and she was setting under the hair dryer eating her lunch and Candy the hair dresser was getting her a cup of coffee. They love my mom, take care of her, laugh with her, and always check on her. They keep me informed of everything. The cleanliness and beauty of the house surpasses anything else I have seen. We are blessed to have Elmhurst.
