I've lived here for 3 years and I'm happy to live here. The support and care that I receive is amazing. I feel like they have my best interest and health needs well taken care of.

I absolutely love this place! I have lived here for over a year and enjoyed getting to know the staff and the residents. I love the current Activity Director and since I have lived here I have never seen a staff member who worked for activities be as dedicated and loving and good at her job as Chelsea. She shows genuine interest in making all the residents feel they are important and she interacts with each of us residents on a personal level. I realize she wants to continue working in the activity department at a more personal level and that she is stepping down as activities director but I would love to see her continue to be active in all other activities with us residents. As for the dinning room and the food... the food leaves a little to desire but for the most part is good. It would however it would be nice if they would stop rotating the menu and be more creative especially when it comes to the lunch snack/desert. every other day for 6 days we get Jello and fresh fruit. we get fresh fruit every morning already seven days a week so it would be nice to get something besides fresh fruit for lunch too. The social worker she is very easy to talk to and she does a great job helping with our concerns. There are some med techs that are easier to talk to than others but overall I appreciate and applaud them all for their hard work and dedication. The caregivers are very good, they are efficient and hard working. There are 2 on each shift which seems it would spread them thin considering how many residents live here but you never hear them complaining so they apparently are getting the job done. To sum it up, I love living here, the staff has grown since I moved in by experience and dedication, this is a great place to live as long as you follow the guidelines and take the time to get to know both the residents and the staff.

I volunteer at Maplewood pretty often. I don't have any living grandparents, so the residents have pretty much adopted me as their grandson. Maplewood is right by Gonzaga, so it's convenient and always a good time. They have lots of activities, parties and of course karaoke! The residents love karaoke and it's always entertaining. Wii bowling is always a good time and the residents are actually really good at it. I have ate at the dinning room a bunch of times and the food is always good and fills me up. Maplewood has become my 2nd family and I'm thankful the residents and staff have always been welcoming.

What sets Maplewood gardens apart from the other assisted living facilities, is the personableness. This is the biggest building of it's kind, has almost 200 residents and the front office greets every single resident by their names and is just as excited to see them as they are to see the staff. Sitting in the lobby was an eye opener for me. This is exactly how you would want to see your family members treated... like family. When we can't be there for our grandparents, it's nice to see that they have a community that's like a 2nd family to them. I was really impressed

Most of the floor staff and management have been there over a year. This company has updated the majority of the apartments and offices. There are multiple activities everyday and a high level of participation. This is the only assisted living in town, that takes Medicaid from day one, and gives you a beautiful private apartment, with a walk in shower, and kitchenette. The meals are very high quality. We had Thanksgiving there as a family this year and it was delicious!

The staff at this facility are exceptional! They truly care about the well being of the patients . They work to create a caring, safe and supportive environment. I also love the attention to cleanliness, great food and the staff seems happy to work there‘ I had my grandmother in care and my father and I’ve learned a lot about what makes a good faculty that one can feel safe to place a loved one .

This is a great place to live. Its home. You get a big family. Do you have problems sometimes with your real family. Well that will happen here sometimes and like with them thing’s generally get resolved. Most of the people do their very best to make you feel loved and cared for. They are basically wonderful people. The food is very very good and there is always alternatives if you don’t like the menus. The location couldn’t be nicer. If you can still walk with a walker ifs wonderful here. Near the river and trail. There are lots of activities so make sure you choose what you want because otherwise you can tire out quickly. A bus takes you shopping to various places and we even have a joy ride once in a while( I haven’t done one) The bldg. is large and takes getting uses too but you will few to love it. If you want to feel Safe and Secure this is the the place. Home

My friend has been living at Maplewood since 2018. There have been immense challenges the last few years, especially in the field of assisted living and Maplewood has navigated everything exceptionally well.

Maplewood Gardens is a beautiful vibrant community filled with amazing residents and a care team with a heart for service and a passion for infusing love and laughter into everyday. Stunning grounds that allow for residents to garden or simply enjoy the views. I highly recommend Maplewood for anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or a loved one.

I am a Social Worker and I had to find a facility for one of my dear residents who needed a higher level of care. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. They treated my resident with kindness and respect. They were extremely efficient. He is now settled into an apartment and they have reported to me that he likes the food and seems to be doing well. I know they are aware that this is a difficult transition for people. They offered to send me pictures of him in his new home! Working with this staff has been great!

Maplewood is the largest senior assisted living community in eastern Washington specializing in housing for low income for Medicaid seniors over 65. I visited recently, and besides a friendly staff, they have been beautifying their community with new outdoor seating, new landscaping, indoor seating areas, etc. The new owners are really investing in this building and community. They know this is the resident's home, and they are making it a pleasant place to live. Maplewood is located by the Centennial Trail and Spokane River.

I've had the opportunity over the past several years to visit Maplewood Gardens, so when I went a couple weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. There is a new general manager and other staff, which has led to some key improvements in the way the community looks and feels. I loved the revamped patio with its furniture. It's a very inviting space. This community is finally moving in the right direction and I think the future is bright!

Maplewood Gardens is a great facility. They have some of the hardest working people there. I feel like they go the extra mile making their residents feel like family. Sure there is always room for improvement and I feel like they listen to concerns and handle them with priority. I understand they are under new ownership now I can’t wait to see what the future has in store.

I have no idea why the other reviews were so negative. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure our friend got the exact room he wanted. All I saw were happy people having a good time. We just placed a friend in this facility and he is EXTREMELY pleased. He says the food is great, the people are great and he has his own room, which is a step up from having to share a room with someone else. And he has a balcony. I would recommend this place to anyone.
