My friend and I visited one of my family members who resides at Riverview. She greeted us at the door in her electric wheelchair, which she navigates herself around the spacious hallways and game and entertainment areas. All of the hallways and elevators were super clean and well maintained. She took us to the garden walk and around the building to the Adobe like wall with little birds of every sort painted on them. The grounds were manicured to perfection. I could go on and on about how cool the place was but the best review is the one my family member gives every time I talk to her. She loves her home at Riverview. That’s a 10 star review right there!

It's numero uno with me. Staff is dedicated to the values of the founders and the continued development or client's care. I've been in therapy after spinal surgery, what a difference their professionalism makes. AND what a facility! It getting better with the new construction. No wonder that Riverview is the place Spokane comes to retire.

I’ve resided at Riverview with assisted living in the Terrace since October 2023. The thing I like best about living here is the friendships I’ve made among the other residents. As you will see in this review, there are other advantages to Riverview, but friends are the only reason I am not seriously looking to move to a different facility. The food here is decent, and I find the kitchen staff to be cooperative. I have some severe allergies, and the chefs cook special meals for me as required. They come to my table frequently to check to be sure I’m getting what I want. The salad bar is a life-saver, with a wide choice of fresh ingredients. The menu is otherwise carb heavy, so I have to watch it to not gain weight! The therapists here were able to work around the Medicare issue so that I got the months of therapy that were required for me to get back on my feet. Every one of the people in the therapy department is professional, respectful, and friendly. I am thriving under their care. The Aquatic center is fabulous, and is an asset that sets it apart from other retirement facilities. I use it three times a week for a routine given me by the therapists. This is the optimum exercise for me since I have issues with my feet that make walking and etc. problematic. The downside is that major construction that is to begin in the fall of 2025 will cut off access to the pool and it’s accompanying walking track and gym except via van transport that will be scheduled during the week. No more free choice of weekend or evening swims or walks on the track! The aides and nurses, though sometimes understaffed, work hard to give us the best care they can. Most nurses are great. Nurses supervise but do not provide any medical care except with doctor’s orders. There is only one nurse on duty for a whole lot of people in two buildings! The Terrace building is old, and my roomette apartment does have some problems “ such as a very small bathroom, the need for extension cords, no sink other than the one next to the toilet, and a weird hump in the entry that is a tripping hazard- but it is enough space and it looks homey with my personal touches. Lovely extras: fantastic gardens and walkways, outdoor gathering spaces, special feasts and buffets for holidays and barbecues. Do I recommend Riverview retirement community to Prospective residents? I would’ve said Yes, a year ago.

Staff was very attentive and professional during our visit today. We were greeted by friendly staff the minute we walked in the facility, to nursing staff helping get my dad ready for dinner and also making sure my sister and wife and I had a setting in the dining room so we could eat with dad. The dining room staff all made our experience there very rewarding and relaxing. Felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant. Upon leave again entrance staff were friendly wishing us a safe trip home and thanked us for visiting today! Dad always speaks very highly of the facility and staff! The receptionist was so kind and helpful! We dropped in to surprise my Grandma and while we waited for her to come up from lunch, the receptionist offered us water bottles and was really sweet to our daughter. The remodel looks so fresh and inviting. The outdoor park was so nice with the playground. Grandma seems really happy here and the residents all seem taken well care of.

Attended the music concert today with a friend who recently lost his wife Very nice concert. Nice reception after concert. We met some lovely people and asked several questions on how they like it. Very favorable comments. We have had our deposit with you since 2003 - hoping someday we would be ready. We are getting close - maybe in the next year or so. We saw the outside of the homes that had fenced patios. We have pets and would be interested in looking at one of those units some time in the near future. Grounds and patio areas are so inviting.

Both of my parents went to Riverview last year. When my mother needed to be in the memory care portion, my dad was able to go see her, have a meal with her every day. He is still there, has dementia but doesn't need memory care at this point. He says everybody there cares about him, they all know his name, and they are very conscientious. He's happy, we're happy.
