I feel comfortable having my mom live her, unlike other places she has been. The people who work here are extremely patient and kind..they all deserve to be taken care of with a raise or something nice!!

My mom came to Chateau Brickyard after a difficult experience in Wisconisn. She loved the environment and friends she made there. The staff worked with her and helped her - with things like making sure her rent check get to the correct person, or helping pick up perscriptions. My mom passed while she lived there, and I was contacted quickly and respectfully. Emily was so kind and patient with us handling everything. So many residents made a point to tell us how much they cared about my mom - it really was a wonderful place for her❤

This is less a review then a reply to Terry T, whoever that may be. I was resident of Chateau Brickyard from August 2018 to December 2021. I do not remember anyone by the name of Terry T being a resident. I moved out because I became concerned about the long term viability of Chateau Brickyard as a business. The building is probably between forty and fifty years old. It does need a major upgrade to both its heating and cooling systems. It did not seem to me that the ownership of Chateau Brickyard had any interest in any upgrade of the building at all. I suspect that the building, within the next three to five years will be sold for its land value. The horror stories as related by Terry T I suspect are more the ranting of a resident who was evicted then have any basis in fact. Chateau Brickyard does have problems. It has trouble hiring and retaining staff. That has less to do with management then the pay scale mandated by Merrill Gardens Inc, the owners of Chateau Brickyard. Its staffing problems have led to a decline in services. I do believe that neither Hector or Emily have any real management skills, that being said, it is difficult to manage a facility that is probably not going to be around five years from now.

My bedroom had zero heat for 8 solid months, I had to sleep in my living room. The bathroom floor was not washed when I moved in and had feces on the floor in front of the toilet bowl from the last man who lived there and died. The building is at least 70 to 80 years old, heating system ancient, air conditioning system ancient, floods from roof in several areas of dining hall, floods come in through the floorboards in the main living room, air conditioning constantly broken daily, 3 chefs quit, kitchen staff consists of No waitresses except for the Director, accountant and exectuive secretary as Waitressess, and Cooks,. Dishwasher constantly breaking down, dinner is served for weeks on paper plates, Transport van nonfunctional for 2 months, 2nd floor hallways smell like a sewer, A disabled man was charged 1400.00 rent after he did not even live there anymore, another man was deducted from his checking account 800.00 for 2 weeks that he did not live there (named Keith), Housekeeper never changed the sheets on bed once in 5 solid months in a row, on 3rd floor, filthy place, No Internet service for 3 days because Emily did not pay the bill. This happened several times in 8 months, No Senior bus rides for shopping or scenic trips because Emily had NO gas money on the gas card, Drunk Parties where women wear no panties, and sit spread eagle, 2 maintenance men quit, no maintenance man for the whole building, Only 1 chef for the whole building and all 3 shifts, Very cheap on the food, wont substitute a veggie if you don't like it. Lousy service in the cafeteria, Chef Hector will not allow you to have a slice of toast at lunch. wont allow you to have 1 hotdog and 1 hamburger, you can only have 1 or the other, chef wont allow you to have 2 slices of French Toast, chef makes a bowl of lettuce and zero protein, zero ham or chicken or beef. Soda and iced tea runs out daily. Chef serves drinks in tiny 4 oz glasses, food extremely unhealthy, all canned. Chef wont allow you a glass of iced tea at 6pm, chef Hector kicks residents out of dining room at 6pm, barks at people and has no manners, serves 1 small cookie for dessert, Extremely cheap with the food, always runs out of dessert, tells his staff to lie to customers on the availability of toast or dessert or dinner rolls, when he has 2 whole cookie sheets full of rolls, in the back room, Chefs wife leaves piles of filthy dishes on your dinner table, and refuses to remove the filthy plates on your table, so you can sit with friends after dinner among the piled up filthy dishes, Chef is extremely rude. Chef drove out 3 other cooks who all quit. Many people move out. A terrible place to live. Emily throws all her incident reports in the trash, when people fall, in her facility, Emily gossips about residents and tells lies about them. Emily also has her secretary Wendy fill out fake paperwork that she took everyone's temperatures, when dozens of residents never even left their rooms all day long. Never had their temperatures taken. Heating repair trucks are parked there daily. Its an ancient dilapidated building. I paid 26, 700.00 rent but Emily lied to numerous people and said I paid nothing. She violates health laws and insurance laws. She lies constantly, non-stop. Residents highly dislike her and consider her a very dishonest person.

Emily is absolutely fabulous and just what the Chateau needs! She easily undertook the task of managing this very nice place. The Chateau is, now, truly a Home away from Home.

I have been working as a vendor with Chateau Brickyard for quite some time and can tell you that they really care about their facility and the well being of their residents. Every time I have visited, I have been welcomed by not only warm and friendly staff but friendly residents as well. I have worked with many other living facilities and can tell you no one else compares.

My Family and my mom Love Chateau Brickyard. My mom has been living there for several months. Everyone is so friendly . The staff is very friendly and helpful. My mom gets her 3 meals a day and if she doesnt feel like going to the dining room she can have the food delivered to her door. There are plenty actives to do daily and some days they even have field trips. I would highly recommended Chateau Brickyard

Im still acclimating but so far I love it. Personnel are very nice and I love I dont have to shop for groceries and do not have to cook and the food is, well, substantial and tasty but not exotic, which is my choice. But its ok; gives me a good excuse to eat once a week at one of my favorite restaurants which its great and I dont have to feel guilty spending some of my money-I shut up my conscience by labeling the shameful extravagance survival. So Im having fun so far. Therefore, as of now I say: Viva Chateau Brickyard!!!.

I wanted to write a review being a healthcare professional in the salt lake area. I needlet the community know how impressive the first impression was when you walk in the door Greeted by friendly staff, friendly residents and a very clean smell. Asked lots of question and received very informative information. I was given a tour of the amenities of the building, and the quality of the rooms.
