Arbor Hills has been the perfect Memory Care home for my Mom and Dad. They share a spacious room with large windows that have a beautiful outdoor view. Arbor Hills has a wonderful backyard with an outdoor space which is available for them to sit anytime and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. The Staff -Nurses and Caregivers have been wonderful and caring. ALL are working to provide Mom and Dad good care support as their Dementia progresses. The overnight monitoring with motion sensors is so great in case one of them gets up in the night. It provides safety for them and peace of mind for us kids. The chef immediately asked them and us their likes and dislikes. He's absolutely wonderful and the food is terrific. The laundry staff are doing Mom and Dad's laundry daily, so Mom and Dad's room is always fresh. The caregivers make their bed and pick up so it is always ready for visitors. Arbor Hill's Director, with the help of their maintenance staff, allowed us to decorate Mom and Dad's room with their things from home. On Day 1 my Dad said , this feels like home. The staff and caregivers are amazing at Arbor Hills in Plano. They are well trained and truly practice the Care models and techniques to make everyday a wonderful experience for both my mom and dad experiencing memory issues. When the caregivers are assisting my parents, they are very engaging and speak directly to them in a calm tone, so they don't feel rushed or confused. The activities are well thought out, fun and include physical activities and exercise for those that are wheelchair bound also. The building is laid out so the residents can stroll in comfort and take in the historical displays to re-live memories, or just relax in the common areas to enjoy some great music. Mom loves the salon services for the occasional hair style and shampoo, or just having her nails done. They both enjoy going to the dining room for meals and engaging with friends. The food is great, and they love the warm towels to wash up before each meal. It's been a real comfort working the all the staff at Arbor Hills, in addition knowing there is also a licensed nurse on duty 24/7 when needed. A wonderful community and experience for both my loved ones.

The administration and staff at Arbor Hills are wonderful. We tried a few other memory care facilities in Plano but not of them took them time and effort that Arbor Hills did. What they promised they delivered. They care for my mom in a very detailed way. This is a difficult time for my mom and our family, but Arbor Hills has given us piece of mind knowing that my mom is better there than even in our own home. I have been seeing patients here for about a year now!! I'd have to say it's one of the best facilities around, they have great staff there's also a great nurse on site. They're always doing activities with the residents. Arbor hills is also very home setting for your family to feel very comfortable and at home when they come stay. My mother-in-law struggled with being placed in a memory care facility. At first, we were very nervous about the transition and how my in-law was going to survive in a completely different environment from what she is being used to. It did not take very long for us to find out that Arbor Hills was the best place for her. Since day one, Arbor Hills, worked diligently to get her acquaintance. They moved staff around and focused on getting her acclimated to her new life. I did not think that it was possible, but they did it. The administration and staff of Sunrise were wonderful. Their care, and attention to their residents is amazing. Everyone from the directors to the nurses and the support staff were committed to getting help with this difficult transition, not just for my-in-law but also for us, the family. From day one, we noticed that the facility strives for excellence in quality of life, not just for the new commers but also for the families. My mom had been suffering from dementia for many years. She and my dad were living in independent living until he just couldn't tend to her anymore. We had been through the process of psychological evaluation (she resisted adamantly and refused to cooperate), then to a neurologist and finally referred to a geriatric psychiatrist for medication adjustments. Ultimately the psychiatrist insisted that she needed more assistance than dad (or I) could provide. I visited five communities in the area and spent quite a bit of time at each one. I just didn't have a good feeling when visiting any of them. And then I found Arbor Hills. The moment I entered the community I knew I had found Mom's new home. It is a small and intimate community and the staff was so caring and sweet with her. And she was not a pleasant person to deal with! The nurse and executive director were so willing to assist me when we had virtual appointments with mom's psychiatrist. Toward the end she would just sit all day and cry. The caregivers would sit with her and hold her hand. I will forever be grateful to the staff at Arbor Hills. Such a special place. I would come in, unannounced, to visit with Mom and she was always perfectly groomed. Sadly, mom was so far along in her Alzheimer's journey, she passed only one year after I moved her to Arbor Hills in Plano, Texas. She was 93 years old. She fell asleep after breakfast one morning, was taken to the hospital and slept for four days before going to Jesus. Thank you, Arbor Hills for helping me through this past year. Upon entering the community, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist. Robin, Director of Community Relations, provided a thorough tour of the community that included both private and semi-private suites. The facility was clean and spacious. The staff interacted with the Residents appropriately and not as though they were children which speaks volumes as the Memory Care community specializes in the dignified treatment of their Residents. This community tops my list of options for my parents as well as for recommendations to others in search of placement options.

Arbor Hills has taken such excellent care of my grandfather. The staff is so friendly and kind. They always are welcoming when I come by, which is about once a week. I usually go during activity and the activity director Nikki is so good with the residents. She makes life there nice for my grandfather. I also stop by at lunch. They are helpful with all the residents including helping them eat their food and enjoying their meal, which is actually pretty good. I am so happy that we moved my grandfather into this community. I highly recommend it!

Moving our dad to Arbor Hills from Silverado a year ago was a great decision! From the administrative staffs support, receptionists information and happy greetings, nursing staff knowledge of the elderlys medical needs, staff caretakers love and giving nature, and the chefs diverse food choices, Arbor Hills is the place for your loved one with memory needs. When any of us call or come to visit, the staff are cheerful, ask about our lives, and let us know about any upcoming caregiver classes, podiatrist-dental sessions or celebration events for the holidays. Arbor Hills staff is our dads other family who show him love and concern daily. Dad is 96 years old, so does not communicate well. This is where the staff at Arbor Hills has been amazing. They seem to anticipate his needs. They follow the old adage: If you see a need, fix a need! He is always dressed when we arrive. Any type of skin tear on his fragile arms-legs is bandaged, and they keep me informed when it occurs. The nursing staff is diligent in maintaining events, records and communication. They can be seen roaming through the community at meal times with smiling, jovial demeanor, talking with individuals and touching base with any family member that is sharing the meal with their loved one. To sit back and watch the patience and love all staff has for what they do is amazing! Even though our dad cannot hear or does not always actively participate in the daily morning gatherings in the community room, he is brought to the room and encouraged to be a part of the singing, games, or snacks. (He does love to eat!) The activities director and her staff do an amazing job of providing all kinds of activities both in the community room and on field trips that appeal to all memory levels. Even our dad will ride on the van in his wheelchair where he gets to see new environments even though he doesnt know what is happening or where he is going. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone at Arbor Hills!
