As a visitor and my recent experience, Mattie younkin manor isn't really a great place. Firstly, they have limited washers and dryers and there are people that leave their laundry in the machines for a really long time when it's done. Because of this experience, I get awful gaslighting behavior and backlash when I move their stuff, so I can use the washer and dryer for my job. Next, what's so bad about this place, is the fact, this building is in a bad location that attracts mentally ill, dangerous, homeless people. A few weeks ago, while I was there, I heard gunshots near the neighborhood of this building. I really would appreciate if more residents can take accountability to take their stuff out of the washer and dryer on time instead of hogging it and attacking me for doing what is reasonable for my job, not for entitled residents.

I have been volunteering at the village for about 2 years. I really enjoy this facility, I always feel welcome. The staff is very polite and caring, especially with the residents.
