My mom was a resident at Huntington Terrace for two months of respite care. I was extremely impressed with the level of care she received. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The facility is very clean and the staff is very approachable. The staff worked with me to navigate the hurdles of long term health insurance and the endless amount of required paperwork. Most importantly, my mom enjoyed her short stay and had wonderful things to say about the dedicated staff that helped her.

I do not understand why there are only 10 reviews. This place should have hundreds of 5 stars. We were looking for a place for my Mom, and we are so fortunate to find Huntington. We were recommended Huntington by some friends. They said "If it were my mom, this is the place I would want her to be". They were right. Sheryl and Terry gave us all of the information, answered every question and addresed all of our concerns, and were so kind. My 82 year old mom was scared to death to move into assisted living....and now she is a resident and is so happy. From the staff to the food to the rooms, all outstanding. Every person that I have come into contact with has been so nice, informative and kind. Wow. Do not hesitate to consider this place for your loved ones.

We chose this Assisted Living facility when my father needed this kind of arrangement three years ago. We highly recommend it! We found the staff to be extremely caring, respectful of the residents and attentive to the concerns of the family members. They did a wonderful job of keeping Dad (and the beloved Cat) safe and happy during his time there, and when it came time for hospice, they interfaced seamlessly with Bristol Hospice, so that my Dad hardly noticed the difference. It made his last days peaceful, comfortable and happy. The facility is clean, modern and cheerful, the dining pretty decent and amenities plentiful. I cant thank them enough.

My brother has been a resident here for about 3 years now. I applaud the care and attention the staff gives to him. At times his attitude can be 'grumpy', but they are able to either work him through that or know when it is time to simply turn around and leave him alone for now. He actually has some special needs and they actually cater to those needs on a personal basis. His wife was also a resident until her passing this past May. She had numerous physical conditions, and they were able to give her the care she needed through all her needs with many different conditions. The care of the Executive Director, Ray during those days following her death was surreal. He showed such care and sympathy, one would believe that she and my brother were the only residents in the facility. They are wonderful in keeping me informed of any unusual things going on, and I so appreciate that. They have an awesome staff, and I applaud their care!

There are so many experiences and memories over the last few years! I can not thank the amazing staff at Hunnington enough for welcoming my grandmother into their family to include our family. You provided a safe, healthy, loving, environment. My grandma loved it at Huntington and always told me how much she appreciated each and every employee. Anytime I had a question how my grandma was feeling and if she wasnt feeling good... my question was answered in a reasonable time frame. My grandma woke up one night and couldn't breathe she pushed her button the night MedAides quick response saved her life. The night staff called 911 then called my brother since he lived closer. It could take me up to three hours at times to visit as I lived out of state. l received the notification I left and stayed at the hospital with my grandma. The hospital tried to send my grandma home before she was strong enough. I called Huntington and informed them what the hospital was trying to do. They came to visit and check up on my grandma. They also asked how we both felt about leaving the hospital and if grandma felt good enough to come back home. My grandma felt weak still and short of breath grandma said she needed to stay there a couple more days. A few days later she was much stronger and was ready to go home to Huntington. In December my grandma was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and went back into the hospital. She stayed a week and the hospital said she would have to go to a rehabilitation center and my grandma said she wasn't going to go to rehab she wanted to go home to Huntington. Huntington's Nurse came to check on her as well multiple times. Management also came to visit my grandma at the hospital. Even though she was exausted she mustered up all of her strength onso pass the tests at the hospital so scouldgo back home to Huntington. I can not ever thank Hunnington for all of their care, support and love they provided over the last two years for my grandma and to our family. My grandmother's wishes were to go back home to Huntington and live the rest of her time remaining at home. They were and still are our Angel's! I was extremely fortunate to be by my grandmas side and they checked on us multiple times a day to include my grandmas neighbors and friends the other residents. I would have written my review sooner, but it has been difficult... I miss my grandmother so very much. As for our Hunnington family thank you for checking on our family. I wish nothing but the best for this group they have the most wonderful employees! Normajean was really grateful for her care and as she always said...You take care! You know she's playing Bingo in Heaven and watching over us all.

My mom was a resident of this facility for 6 years. I have nothing but praise for the people here. We have recently had to move mom to a secure memory facility. The wonderful people here went above and beyond to help us in anyway they could. Because of the wonderful care mom received here, we moved her to a sister facility. Very professional and caring people. Mom was able to have 6 very happy years here, and her family never had to worry about her.

Working as a hospice nurse I have had many experiences with a variety of different assisted living facilities. While I have had difficulties in many facilities getting care staff to respond promptly to the changing needs of my patients I have found everyone at Huntington Terrace to be extremely resourceful, caring, compassionate, and communicative with all of the residents I have provided care for. The care I have seen them provide goes above and beyond normal standards of care and has always been cheerful and kind. My Mother in-law has lived at Huntington for over 6 years and the staff and management have been nothing but the ultimate professionals . They have had to deal with personal and medical issues with never a complaint. They have been like a second family and have always kept us informed and involved.

My father has been a resident at Huntington Terrace assisted living since November of 2012. The staff do a very good job taking care of my Dad despite him being a pretty tough customer. Additionally, the care and administrative staff have been extremely helpful to me in coordinating care for my Dad. The staff have kept me well informed regarding my Dad's health and well-being and everyone works together from medication administration and lab visits to helping Dad with his basic needs to getting billing details to the insurance company. I am very happy to have the staff at Huntington Terrace as partners in caring for my father.

We looked at 4 places before deciding on Huntington Terrace. So why did we choose this place over the others? Safety, Brighter/open apartment, transition help and a willing staff. Our mothers No. 1 concern for where she was going to live was her own safety. Huntington Terrace has provided her with living arrangements that lets her be as secure as she feels the need to be. In other words, she feels safe. Her apartment is better lit, and more open than any other facility we looked at. Staff are superb at keeping the facility clean and well maintained. Staff has also been excellent in connecting our mother with others to help with her transition from her own home to her new apartment. Now, 1 year later she loves her apartment and wants nothing more. Staff has helped our mother but has also helped us in providing our mothers care. They provide med management, socialization with others, variety of choices during meal periods, and encouragement to participate in outside activities. On a more personal note I have observed the management team interacting with the residents. They treat the residents as if they are part of the family. None of the other facility's teams seemed to care squat for the resident. This is what makes the difference for us. A caring, safe, livable environment.

We moved Mom in here in April, and we've been very happy with our experience. The staff truly cares about their guests. The food is good (we've eaten there several times) and there is a broad range of activities, from ice cream socials, to trivia contests, to live music. We looked at ten places before we chose the Huntington in Gresham, and we made a great choice.
