My mother has lived at Portofino Senior Apartments for almost 2 years. Christina and Norma are so professional! They have made my mother very happy with their wonderful attention to details. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for each month. The carpets were cleaned and sanitized today. The maintenance guys are proficient and the cleaning service is top notch. We appreciate you guys so much! My you continue receiving blessings for your hard work.

This Senior Living Staff at this property are AMAZING. They treat people EXTREMELY nice, and they CARE about their residents. My Mom has resided at this property for over 10 years. Every work order requested was quickly done. Every ISSUE that came up was handled professionally. I love this staff. I know my Mother is in good hands.

Portifino Apartments are just one step above slum status. As a former Police Officer I have been in crack houses,Section 8 and slums so I know what I’m talking about. My first month there I had roaches and had to get on the bug list for treatment. Building one was shut down for a bed bug infestation. In the year that I was there I had roaches three times.Building 2 floor 3 has a hole in the floor that they cover up with carpet. When I walked on it I would sink down thinking I was going to fall through the floor.People feed pigeons there so the bird shit is all over the sidewalks, balconies, cars and garbage cans.There are coyotes that roam freely at night because one resident feeds the rabbits so if you have a dog you have to keep your head on a swivel. Not enough parking, there’s an overflow dirt lot they try to pass off as extra parking.No fitness gym. They have a broom closet that they call a gym. The pool has been closed for four months. They were waiting on a part for the spa pool that was coming from the Antarctic via dog sled. The staff are in way over their heads. I moved two months ago and still haven’t got my security deposit back. The maintenance man, Miguel, said my apartment was ready to move in for the next resident as he was taking pictures. They said they had the wrong forwarding address when it’s right there in front of them on my thirty day notice, I have a copy.My credit score at the time of move in was 810 and yet they nail me for 800 security deposit. I think it’s a scam folks, they have no intention of paying me back or anyone else. That’s how they make their extra money. Call it Cop intuition.They tried to raise my rent two months before my lease expired. I tried to explain to Christina that it’s a contract you can’t do that. Again over their heads. Rent is increased by 110.00 after your year is up. It keeps going up and up. Bottom line folks is don’t rent here. Get on a waiting list for some other place.This is just the tip of the iceberg I could go on and on.

I have been here a year. It was hard to adjust at first. The apartment is cute but could use updating. The staff are wonderful. They all are very nice and accommodating. Helpful and understanding from the beginning. I have made friends and like it here, all that live here are very nice so far. Now a new year is upon us all, will there be changes for the better as far as upgrades and things that tenants complain about. We shall see. But for now, Thank you, office, maintenance and housekeeping.

My experience with Management and the staff at Portofino Senior Apartments has been overwhelmingly pleasant. Christina sets the tone with her knowledge of the industry and her property. Norma and Rachel kindly answered all of my questions after showing us a couple of units. The maintenance men are quick to make repairs with a friendly smile. I highly recommend these apartments.

The ladies in the office are nothing short of fantastic. They are friendly, respectful, considerate and always ready to assist with any problem. The go above and beyond the normal duties. Wonderful!!! The maintenance staff is the best one day service and if you are struggling with something outside they are there to help. Thumbs up to them all‘‘‘‘‘

I love my apartment!!! It is so quiet & peaceful. I have been here for about 6 months Christina & Norma have continued to be very helpful with any needs or questions I may have Always friendly!! Maintenance works very hard - They always seem to answer service requests promptly. The staff cares about the tenants - That's hard to find these days . The grounds are kept clean and tidy. Kristina on management was very nice and helpful as well as other staff. The guys on maintenance work very hard. The Neighbours were great I met some really nice people whilst staying here.

Well kept grounds,swimming pool,garden areas,nice clubhouse with computers,library,exercise room,tv,kitchen,pool table. Laundry facilities on each floor. Maintenance is on spot.They are very fast at getting to your work orders. Reasonable rent. Some planned activities. Off street parking. Friendly environment. Buildings are secured. Pet friendly for those who need it.

I have seen and heard how Christina, mngr, goes out of her way to help; Norma and Jackie are always helpful and friendly; maintenance supervisor, Miguel and Steve, maintenance, with their heavy work load, prioritize and get the job done. The place it self is great but the hallways smell even though maintenance cane to clean there always a bad smell We pay our rent and expect the property management do there part. There are buckets in the hallways so when it rains the floor don’t get wet instead of fixing the roof they just replace it with buckets so unsanitary. We pay rent and should not see buckets in the hallway it’s looks dirty So I would like that fix there is a laundry basket In Front of my door since the roof is leaking not acceptable You people want your rent on time we expect services to be done the Right way. How would you like a bucket or laundry basket to be In Front of your door since the roof is leaking I think department of sanitation should be aware of this that would be next step

My response to work through the 1Star review to a 5Star: To the ownership of Portofino Senior Apts, What would lead you to think, believe and act in such a non-professional, uncorporate style of Management? Your chosen "property manager" professed to be "contaminated by the bug infestation" resulting in shunning, refusing and "discriminating" against me from entering the clubhouse, for access to "laundry card replenishing machine". However, the chosen "property manager, office management and "housekeeping" are in the Clubhouse" directly in contact with the "contamination".. Being subjected to call, bring money, laundry card, during new office hours, with possibly, who may be available, certainly does not shout "customer service or do you need help?" The testimony being evidenced, "chosen property management, staff and housekeeping are more in fear of loosing their job, they are willing, to risk themselves, their babies, family, etc., in order to be executioners to "headquarter(s) demand(s).. I, invite corporate to lock themselves up, during the working hours along with their chosen property management crew and housekeeping in the clubhouse. Such a "good faith act" would encourage my brain in thought, "it may be possible, corporate is concerned about my well being.." What do you think? Addendum to the 5Star rating: Keeping in step with OSHA, HIPPA, Privacy Law(s) and Realtor Board(s) 1st name initials are being provided: R, C, S, M, J, and A are attentive, caring, conscientious, diligent, extraordinary and much, much more. They each have been welcoming in aiding Bear and I, in our adjustment to the Apartment's Community,. Some of the Residents have also added to the experience as well... Cool place to live and enjoy our youth

The elevator at these apartments are constantly going out yes they get it back on the same week day but is a hardship when you're FULLY with groceries and come to find out the elevator is not working on a Saturday and being disabled have to carry the bags upstairs to the 03rd floor bc no telling when they get the elevator up and working again like since you leave a message.

I have been at Portofino apartments a few months now and I’m very happy with where I’m living. The management team is great Christina and Norma have been very helpful and also the maintenance is superb. Grounds are always kept nicely and everyone is friendly. Very happy that I picked this apartment complex.

They always have time for u and will bend over backwards to help u with whatever u need. Our new maintenance team is great. They are quick efficient and friendly. Thank u Reliant for bringing us a team that make life feel secure and comfortable. Seniors can sometimes be very difficult and set in their ways the management team we have now deals with this with patience and it makes all the difference in the world

I am a new resident here and I love the place. My hats off to Lorenzo and Dee for getting me into such a wonderful place. The apartment more than a met my expectations, based on previous reviews I had seen. Just a couple of minor things were wrong but nothing drastic and Jose the maintenance man fixed it within two days. Which I thought was great as he is a very busy man. The grounds are spectacular and the other residents here are really great people and friendly too. I could not ask for a better place to live as I came from a place that was really trashy compared to here. This complex is centrally located so all the stores and shops are just within one to four miles away. There is a gas station with a car wash and Speedy-Mart just across the way which is great if you need something really quick. Also, there is a pizza place and Jack-in-the-Box along with Big-O tires just across the street too. It is also close the I-215 freeway but you do not here the traffic. It is very well cushioned here. I just can't say enough as to how great this place is. I know this is a bit long winded and I wish I could say more. Anyway, it is a great place to retire to as I have done.

Grounds look great apts are another thing. They need painting. Floors need to be redone. Appliances are old. Dented broken handles. The only thing they know how to do is raise the rent.

The friendly attitude has all but disappeared from this property I have lived there for over 10 years and in the last year there has been some issues with uncontrolled dogs running off leach and attaching other dogs and biting people,the rules are not enforced and the animals are allowed in the clubhouse around open food on tables, another problem is with disgruntled staff that I have observed and this is my opinion based on my experience in my last employment as a maintenances supervisor that the staff are walking on pins and needles looking disgruntled about new policies being implemented their

I have lived here for over two years and the turn over has been bad. The workers that were carrying they let go. We had a very good maintenance guy who loved his job and was here on his day off when the alarm would go off. The new manager was not. A lot of people here are not happy with corporate. Need to ask the people here how we feel. Some of pitched in and bought a coffee pot and we bring coffee and we are limited on three pots. I love it here but not the turn over

The lease agreement is not enforced my dog and I have been attacked multiple times Dogs that run loose bite and attack the owners and management do nothing. Multiple complaints from many but nothing has been to date

I am a new resident and am quite impressed with the staff and maintenance! The grounds are spectacular, well trimmed and landscaped. The resident gardens add color and beauty, as well as giving butterflies and hummingbirds a place to land. The apartment was the most immaculate rental I have rented anywhere in the United States. Residents are friendly and greeting me on every trip I take to walk the grounds. Fellow pet residents are just as welcoming as their owners. The location is perfect-with a strip mall on the same corner, as well as a Speedee Mart and 76 gas station. Interstate is 1/2 block away. Situated 2 blocks from Horizon Ridge, several parks are only 1-2 minutes away. I can't say enough about Portofino as it was a definite answer to my personal prayers to be in a safe, secured, lighted, maintained, quiet neighborhood for 55+ active independent adults.
