My parents spent the last few years of their lives at Brookdale Tallgrass. They were able to stay together even though their needs were very different. My father had Alzheimer's and needed the locked facility for safety. Mom was able to be as involved or as alone as she wished. The staff was patient, knowledgeable and efficient. Mom & Dad settled in quickly and considered Brookdale Tallgrass home. Thank you Brookdale Tallgrass staff.

My sister was unable to live independently and we could not provide the kind of care she needs. She has been at Brookdale Tallgrass for eight months now, and it is a perfect fit. It's comfortable...not too large or too small, and the facility is very attractive. The staff is attentive and my sister often comments on how nice everyone is. Although she doesn't always take part, there are many activities and we appreciate the family events. This is a great choice for us!

The management at Tallgrass is exceptional, working with them is the only reason this facility is as good as it is. My grandfather lived here and got the best care in town because they all work together and no one is above any chore or task. I have seen their head director cooking on weekends and their activity manager working regular care shifts and every manager is very approachable and interacting with families. Brookdale don’t know how good they have it with this team. My grandmother was at another Brookdale facility in KC and it was not even close to this good. If I ever have a need or know anyone who needs their service I will look up these leaders and place with them! Top to bottom they are the best TEAM in town! Charles, Michelle, you are the best!

When my mother needed extra help, my siblings and I toured multiple facilities in Wichita. Brookdale Tallgrass was our unanimous choice due to the excellent staff. They welcomed not only my mother, but my family as well. She is thriving under their care and attention. The staff are compassionate and dedicated from the nurses to the cooks to the facilities manager. They are like extended family. The heartfelt kindness shown to all of us has set Brookdale Tallgrass apart. The facility is clean, the food is delicious, and there is a large variety of activities provided both on site and out in the community. The residents have many opportunities to stay active and engaged. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Tallgrass to anyone looking for thorough and compassionate care for their loved one.

My sister and I were so happy to find this homey, loving and caring Assisted living facility for our mother. The staff is super, especially Michelle. They really care for their residents and try to make it feel like a family. The facility is beautifully decorated and very clean. They have many activities through out the day for the residents as well as special events and outings. We couldn't have found a better place for our mom.

One year ago my sister and I unexpectedly needed to find asisted-living accommodations for our mom. Once we visited with the Admin Team, met the staff, and toured the comfortable and homey residence, we knew we had found the perfect place for Mom. We have not been disappointed! The staff is amazing! Their care for Mom is second to none. We know she is safe, loved, and comfortable. Loving care quickly comes to her aid when she presses her call button. We moved my 94 year old aunt here a year ago and she loves it. The staff treats her like family ! She enjoys the food , getting her hair done every week, getting her laundry done, getting her room cleaned and the new friends that she has made . Yaritsa , Michelle, Brent and everyone else that works at Brookdale Tallgrass have made us feel very good about her being here . It is always clean and welcoming. We are so grateful the they had an opening when we needed it! We feel very blessed to have found this wonderful place!

We have our mom at Brookdale Tallgrass and they provide top notch care!!! Michelle, the head nurse, is fantastic!! She keeps us updated if anything is going on and really pours her heart into her work. It’s clearly not just a job for her. She truly cares for the residents!!! The whole staff and Charles, the head of the team, also go above and beyond to reassure and help with anything that’s needed. I rest easy knowing she’s at a place where people love and care for her.

My Mom has been living at Brookdale Tallgrass for over four years and we have been more than happy with the care that she receives there. The place is always clean and well kept and the staff are kind and compassionate in their caregiving. We feel like Brookdale Tallgrass is part of our extended family and would definitely recommend the facility to anyone who has a loved one that needs a little extra care and support in life.

We moved my MIL to Brookdale two years ago. She was starting to have memory loss and did not want to move but she's adapted well. MIL has a heart of gold but can be very stubborn and dementia adds to this. The staff has so much patience and even on her less than good days, staff still has patience and can get a smile out of her. So many activities are offered with lots of variety including outings (MIL's favorite)....there is never a lack of something to do. MIL loves the meals, extra treats and festivities...says Brookdale feeds her well . There is at least one monthly family activity to which the staff always makes us feel welcome. Facility is very clean and if we ever have a concern, it is addressed immediately. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of my mother-in-law (the cooks are her favorite).

TOP NOTCH SERVICE! My mother lived in Brookdale for a couple months in 2025. Their nursing staff and help was nothing short of perfection. They have help buttons in the room and they always answered them immediately. Their staff was incredible. My mother loved them all. Mom would really perk up when the staff would come to the room. I would definetly use Brookdale at Tallgrsss again.

Four and one-half years ago during Covid I knew that it would be necessary to find an assisted living home for my husband who at the time was having dementia problems that had become threatening. A friend helped me make the decision to try Brookdale TallGrass and I’ve been very happy with that decision. The facility is small enough to get to know everyone and large enough for a variety of available activities. I’ve been fortunate to be able to share participation in many of these activities with my husband - which he really enjoys! The staff is always looking out for the best treatment of the residents. Their care is outstanding, and they even know the residents’ likes and dislikes.

We couldn’t asked for better care for our mother. We knew we couldn’t provide for her like she needed and Brookdale staff understands the importance of letting us be her loved ones again and they can provide love through the care they provide. Mom is in a great place with great people who have started to love her and enjoy her like we do.

We have had to move my father four separate places over the past seven months. We had issues with him not having the appropriate level of care in his last facility, but Brookdale Tallgrass has been the fit we have been looking for… His dementia is unique and he doesn’t fit easily into a pre-determined profile for dementia. We moved him sight unseen into an apartment that was admittedly too small. The sales director at Brookdale scrambled and found a great solution for us. Now, my dad seems to be adjusting well to his new surroundings and is given love where he had not experienced that in the past. I promise that the above reflects my true impression about Brookdale Tallgrass. I hope someone finds this review of help!

My mother moved to Brookdale Tallgrass in June 2018. It was hard for her to leave her home and independence, but it became necessary due to her physical limitations. We looked at many assisted living facilities, to find the right place for her. My mother has a dog she dearly loves, and having him move with her was a must. Brookdale Tallgrass was very accommodating with respect to her pet. The facility is just the right size for my mother. It is small enough that she gets individual attention from the staff and gets to know them personally, but large enough to meet friends that are living there, and make new acquaintances/friends. The facility is nice, and my mother gets help with tidying and cleaning her apartment. They do her laundry and assist her with her necessary daily activities, including medication management, and any other personal services she needs. What I love most about Brookdale Tallgrass, are the people who work there. They are so kind and caring. They are very nice and accommodating to my mother. Their communication with her family is very good, and we can always discuss concerns regarding my mother with any of the team members at Brookdale. I hear of the nightmare treatment the elderly put up with at various assisted living centers and senior housing, and I thank God every day for the wonderful treatment my mother receives at Brookdale Tallgrass. We have absolutely no regrets in choosing this facility for my mother's care!
