I am incredibly appreciative of the staff at The Regent for their caring, service-centered hearts. Sheila Cole, Executive Director, whose leadership and compassion truly stood out. She identified the need before the situation became an emergency, and her proactive approach, compassion, and professionalism made a tremendous difference during a critical time. The team was very helpful to provide background information so that I could find the best level of care. They truly advocate for their residents and want the best for them. I cannot say enough great things about this place. I moved my mother in last September and it was the highlight of her retirement. You always worry are you just being sold a fake bill of goods by the salesperson or is the place truly that awesome. Let me tell you this, YES< THEY ARE THAT AWESOME. Place is clean, food is great, staff are so caring and wonderful to the guest and visitors. There are so many activities and social things to do. What a wonderful place to live in your twilight years. Very affordable considering everything they provide. Sheila is an amazing director there and her leadership cascades down to the staff. Wife already told me this is where we are moving to in the future. God bless this place.

Moved my mom in about a month ago and have been very impressed with the change in her! She loves it! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Wish we'd done it a year ago.

The Regent is by far the best Senior Living Center I have ever experienced. The public areas are immaculate . The dining area is bright and well laid out. Their menu has many great choices. I was extremely surprised with the quality. If it was a restaurant it would be packed. The one bedroom apartments are great. They get cleaned weekly. I dealt personally with several staff members and found them to be friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It was an excellent place to live.

My mom lived at The Regent for over three years. Prior to moving into The Regent my mom was a farmer’s wife in Western Iowa and her hometown is less than 300 people. The staff and residents at The Regent made this transition seamless. The intake process was easy, welcoming, and inviting. Upon arrival, my mom was welcome by residents and staff. They immediately made her feel at ease as they visited with her and helped with any questions. The staff at The Regent are phenomenal! They helped at a moment’s notice with anything that we needed. They followed through successfully with any request and did so with kindness and respect. My mom became friends with the staff, no matter what position they served in. They treated Mom as if she were the only person there. The Regent was my moms home and she loved living there. My family and I also loved being at The Regent as it was home for us too. Thank you to all of the staff at The Regent for the positive and outstanding experience that we had when we partnered in serving my mom in her retirement years! Thank you! With Sincere Gratitude, Rod Lenz, Shirley Walde’s son

My mother moved here from KC October of 2023. She has lived at the Regent since and absolutely loves it. Staff is amazing and truly care about my mother. The facility is emasculate and always smells clean and inviting. Many activities are offered. There is nothing to complain about. Recently I moved my mom to assisted living and cried when I gave her notice. Thank you Shiela and all your wonderful staff for watching over my mother, forever grateful. Janet Theoharis

My mother-in-law spent the last four years of her life at The Regent, and they were truly some of her happiest. She formed deep friendships with both fellow residents and the wonderful staff. Visiting her was always a joy”meals were consistently outstanding, the decor was warm and inviting, and the entire community was impeccably clean. The care she received, especially from the medication aides and Mobile Medical, gave us real peace of mind. Knowing she was safe, comfortable, and surrounded by kindness made all the difference. There is a reason why The Regent reviews sit at a 4.9 rating. If you are on the fence about moving a loved one to The Regent, rest assured that he/she will be well cared for. Our family is forever grateful for The Regent community.

The Regent is the most beautiful place! Not only is the aesthetic gorgeous, clean, and happy, but the staff is beyond genuinely friendly! We love them like family. I’ve never seen my mom so happy. This is the place for senior living! Go see Sarah, she’s fantastic, and check it out for yourself! ’

I cannot say enough about Sarah Plenert in the front office who toured me when I was looking for a place for my father who was discharging from the Center at Waterfront. She sat with me and we talked about my dad and what would be the ideal place for him. The Regent is amazing and I'm frankly ready to move in myself! For him, it would be perfect along with Interim Home Health to assist at times. But then he got pneumonia on his discharge date and everything changed. But Sarah kept close contact with me even after he no longer could move to the Regent. She truly cares about the residents, but also us non-residents! Her kindness at such a hard time was exactly what I needed. Her heart is pure kindness!

I have toured there twice now! Had to bring someone else in to see this hidden gem! I have been in nursing for 23 years and never knew this type of community existed! Our tour lady- DeeDee was so informative and personal. The people who lived there knew her by name and shared and laughed great experiences they guava had with her and living there. The rooms are beautiful with great views. Tons of activities to do from massages, nails, work out room, looking at the lake or many social events to attend. The movie theater was my absolute favorite.I also got to eat lunch there. Servers were awesome - restaurant style but better! Food delicious” I want to move in myself! Prices are actually doable!! Living costs and extras would actually total more than living here with every thing included. I can guarantee people live longer and definitely more happy here than I have seen in their personal home (working home health and family) and any community I have been in. (Travel nurse here as well)

Amazing place for my parents.
July 2022
After the sudden death of my father, my disabled mother quickly needed to find a place where she could live independently (with a bit of help from Interim Healthcare services), because staying in their home alone would have been much too difficult & lonely. We toured The Regent with Misty, and were so impressed by the whole facility. It is beautiful, spacious, and set up very thoughtfully for seniors. Every spot is accessible, and there are lots of community areas throughout the building in which to hang out if you don’t want to be cooped up in your apartment all day. There are tons of opportunities for offsite excursions on the shuttle, and also many activities that take place within the buildingbingo, arts & crafts, card games, Jeopardy, visits from the Sedgwick County Zoo, dog visits from Love On A Leash (my personal favorite!), and nightly movies in the theater, complete with comfy leather recliners & popcorn! The Regent strives to offer something to everyone, and to keep residents engaged and socializing as much as they’d like. No one will be bored living here, unless they choose to be. The FOODsimply amazing & delicious! There is a very well rounded menu with so many options. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, and the chef is very accommodating about customizing dishes to your liking or nutritional needs. The lunch/dinner menu changes every 60 days, to keep it interesting and offer people new options. The PEOPLEalso simply amazing!! Above everything else, I am most impressed by the staff at The Regent. From the reception desk, to management, to maintenance, to housekeeping, to the servers in the dining roomevery single person is friendly, helpful, courteous, and seems to truly care about the residents. The staff are what make me feel best about our decision to move my mom into The Regent. I live out of state, and am so comforted knowing that there are such friendly & helpful staff at every level of service. It is very much a one big family’ atmosphere, and you can sense that the employees enjoy working there, and all strive together to make The Regent a warm and caring environment. If you are looking for a place for a parent, or for yourselfI highly recommend looking at The Regent. The rent includes everything but cable, and is pretty reasonable when you think about all that is included. Mom’s life is so much simpler nowno worries about household maintenance, utility bills, property taxes, transportation needs, accessibility issues at home, cooking, cleaning, etc. It is all taken care of now! Her only daily worries now that she’s living there, are deciding what activities she wants to partake in, and what to order off the menu at meals. Her life is easy now, as it should be at 84 years old. She is making friends and her life is much more fulfilling & easier than it would have been if she had tried to stay in her home. I told her it’s like she’s living on a cruise ship that doesn’t go anywhere!

We were there for a large car show that they had.. They are trying to promote their assisted living center by having a huge car show. I would highly recommend.

My father moved in to the Regent just a couple of months ago and most amazing part has been the staff. They have been absolutely wonderful. None more so than Kylie - the resident tech help’. My father’s phone began acting up shortly after he moved in. A true nightmare when your loved one lives 1,500 miles away. A month of research and even a trip to the Verizon Store accomplished nothing. But one visit from Kylie and she spotted the problem and had it fixed in no time. That saved us the money and headache of buying a new phone and setting it up. She’s now my hero.

My mother moved into an apartment at The Regent when maintaining her own home became too much responsibility. We were thoroughly impressed with the facility, the staff and programming. It's like a nice hotel; from the d©cor to the dining to the professionalism of all the employees. Clearly, a resident's satisfaction, safety and well-being are top priorities with The Regent. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This place is so nice it actually makes me look forward to getting old. They have great food, beautiful rooms, lots of cool activities and a top notch staff. Why not spend your Golden Years feeling like you live on a cruise ship or a nice resort?

I have visited the Regent and it is even better than advertised! Rose always says, "Kick back, relax and live life to the max at the Regent" well she isn't kidding. You have to see the theatre room with nice comfy couches, incredible. Not only would I feel comfortable having my parents there, I can't wait to reitre there.
