Our experience with Wellbrooke of Westfield has been excellent. The staff are all very accommodating and helpful and there is no detail too small. From special events for every holiday to daily activities there is always something happening for the residents. Wellbrooke is neat, clean and inviting.

this is my wife. Joy's second visit with Wellbrooke of Westfield for ot/pt therapy due to illness. when we found out she was going to rehab, she immediately said " I want to go to Wellbrooke in Westfield". everyone from administration to maintenance have always been helpful, informative, carying, friendly, available and understanding. there are so many people to thank for her stay, such as Haley, Hallie, Barb, Ashley, Mina, Diana, Michael, Marcia, Daisy, Madison, Jenna and many more. this are a small sample of the wonderful staff. thank you all so much for making Joy's stay comfortable and fun. we both appreciate everything that everyone has done. thank you ALL so much. with love and appreciation. This facility has been great, everything I needed nothing that I didn't. We were so happy that we were about to come here for rehabilitation. We had previous family members here too and had amazing experience then also. The staff here are happy and when staff are happy residents are happy. A special shout-out to Haley for always being there and having a good attitude. The food is amazing, it was too good!

Great location and very uplifting and modern facility. The care is awesome and the leadership staff does a wonderful job connecting with the families. My father-in-law was at this campus for a short time and they took care of his needs until his passing. Thanks for the compassionate care!

Wellbrooke of Westfield is anything but a nursing home. In my opinion it is resort . I have been here 9 days and have done so much that it I feel I am on vacation expect for the fact therapy is kicking my butt. The staff here is excellent . All the departments are great . I never been in a nursing home and the halls have not smelled like a bathroom. The dining room is like you are at a restaurant they serve you and wait on you three meals a day. The food is nothing what you see in a regular nursing home. The activities department has activities from 9 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon and on weekend they are doing things with us. When I first saw this place from the road it looked like a lodge . It is sat back from the street it has a pond with a fountain in it the landscaping is done so beautifully . It has three different gardens for sitting outside. So if you think you are in a nursing home think again cause this has no signs of being a nursing home. Thank you to all the staff at Wellbrooke I love my stay here.

Wellbrooke WAS a wonderful place to entrust your loved ones. It WAS filled with caring staff in the summer of 2019 when we placed my parents there. My mother was admitted in assisted living and it was so great that we moved my father (recovering from a stroke) there to their medical wing. Things were good. Then it started to go downhill. My father requires a special diet and almost without fail, it was incorrect when we visited (we were there 4+ times a week). Supposedly, my father had therapy 3 times a day every day. I never saw it. They said they did therapies in the morning before I was there. I don't believe it and even if it were true, it would be silly to wear a stroke patient out with back to back therapy sessions first thing in the morning. My father's recovery was seriously set back during his time at Wellbrooke. Sometimes he was spending 16 hours a day in his bed and the staff made it out like it was a hassle if we wanted them to get him out of bed. I was actually told once by a nurse that they were understaffed and just wanted to leave him in bed. They were never proactive about toileting. My father often sat in his own filth for hours. Once when I arrived, he was lying naked in his bed with no cover and his door wide open for anyone to see as they walked by. His hands and fingernails were always filthy. It was my regular thing to get there and take him to wash his hands. There was no one there who actually seemed to see him as a person - except for Becky the activities person. Becky is amazing. They need more Beckys. We moved my father to another facility on 10/31/19 and the difference is night and day. Dad has progressed in his recovery in some very meaningful ways. Wellbrooke was happy to let my father just wither away. The new place has truly changed our lives because they actually care about their residents. One of the nurses on my mom's floor at Wellbrooke asked about how my father was doing and said to me, "I know he's doing better there. You can be honest with me, this place is a s***-hole." That, from the mouth of one of Wellbrooke's own nurses. My mother is in assisted living and mostly able to fend for herself. She decided to stay at Wellbrooke until she can be transferred to a home with her sister. Mom's experience has been far better but her needs are much less. That said, there are still issues. I take things reported to me that I don't see personally with a grain of salt. I'll just say there are lots of reports of incorrect medications (she takes 7-10 pills each morning and reports having only 3-4 on some days), reports of staff members "picking" on dementia patients, reports of dismal portions at meal times, reports of the elevator being out and the water being off for hours, etc. Again, I have not seen those things myself. What I have seen myself seems to be a real lack of concern for my mother. She is diabetic and has had issues with her legs getting blisters, ripped skin, sores, etc. They don't seem to have any schedule of when they change bandages. Despite my mom's leg wrappings being so wet that she leaves a trail when she walks, they only change her bandages when she nags them. Even then, she has waited for HOURS to even be acknowledged. She's been told that they'll change them and then they never come back to actually do so. I often change the bandages myself. I was there the day after Thanksgiving to take Mom to our family dinner. There was no nurse on her floor. None. I searched the whole floor. Other staff told me she went to lunch. A nurse from downstairs tried to help but didn't have keys for the medicine cart nor was she able to find one in the main office. She acknowledged that there should have been someone on the assisted living floor but there was not. We waited 45 minutes for the missing nurse to come back and issue Mom's insulin. That is a long time to leave 20 some patients with no help. Lisa seems to be the only person on that floor that cares. They need more Lisas. I would not recommend Wellbrooke to anyone.

Beautiful facility it feels and give an appearance of being at a mountain lodge resort! The staff is very friendly and caring. Always great activities your love one should never be bored! My Daddy had exceptional care there and I am very grateful from the nursing staff, to the wonderful physical therapist, as well as the entire staff!!!

My parents spent their final 3+ years at Wellbrooke of Westfield. The employees took time to get to know them and were treated like family, with love and respect. When Mom said she loved to knit - the activities dept formed a weekly knitting group! I would recommend WofW to anyone needing skilled care.

Wellbrooke of Westfield has a gorgeous facility. All the employees are really nice as well... they put on a lot of events with the public and the residents truly love interacting with little kids that attend those events. I don't have anyone that needs constant care at the moment but when I do, wellbrooke is at the top of my list!

The facility is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. I was treated like family and had the best care! My friends and family visited me and told me they felt like they had visited a resort. I was a patient for approximately 3 months and although there is no place like home, this was a great second best. I am fully recovered and better than ever! A huge thanks to the staff from the housekeepers to the administrator.

I had the pleasure of working with the staff on a few of their events. Everything was seamless and was very well thought out and organized. The residents were always included and happy as ever. I would highly recommend this company rehabilitation or longer-stay needs.

Review for M. Sands: "I was there from 6/26/17 to 7/19/17 for Rehab following Surgery. The Grounds are beautiful, as is the Interior of the Building. I received excellent Nursing Care, as well as both Occupational and Physical Therapy while I was there. The Food was quite enjoyable, several options were available if one did not want the Special Meal offered. Chef even made a special Vegetable Soup for me as initially, my Diet was quite restricted. I was able to participate in some of the Activities offered which I enjoyed. I remain grateful for the Nursing Care and Rehab therapy I received, which has enabled my strong Recovery."
