My mom Demona had a wonderful experience during her stay at this facility. I want to recognize the incredible staff who cared for her. The nursing staff and CNAs were compassionate, attentive, and treated her with kindness, dignity, and respect every day. The housekeeping staff also did an excellent job keeping her room and the facility clean. A very special thank you to her physical therapists, Ashley and KP. They were absolutely amazing and made such a positive impact on my mom’s recovery. They made therapy something she genuinely looked forward to each day, and their encouragement, patience, and positive attitudes meant so much to her and our family. The dialysis team was exceptional”professional, caring, and always made sure my mom was comfortable. Her speech therapist was also wonderful and played an important role in her progress. The facility itself was very nice. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the beautiful koi pond area, which provided a peaceful place for my mom and family members to sit outside and enjoy some fresh air during visits. When a loved one is going through a difficult medical journey, having a team that truly cares makes all the difference. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped my mom through her recovery and would highly recommend this facility to other families. This was the 2nd facility like this she has been in and we would definitely bring her back here if she ever has to through rehabilitation again. Thank you to every staff member who helped make her stay a positive and healing experience.

My brother had a few good years as a resident but his last five years were terrible!! He passed away in May from a UTI infection causing Sepsis resulting in him having a stroke. During the last five years the staff kept changing my brother around from room to room resulting in the loss of his new coat, some Ga Bulldog clothes and his important personal possessions. That was very upsetting for him. Some of the staff were carrying but most were not.

I cannot say enough good about Parkside Rehabilitation. I was a patient there in 2023 with a broke leg and they were outstanding, no complaints. My husband broke his leg and just left there after 5 weeks. They outdid our experience 2 years ago. All the staff: nurses, wound care, physical and occupational therapist, CNAs, concierge, and housekeeping- we have not one complaint. They were all very caring while being professional. The patients needs were at all times in the forefront. If I was there, I was treated with utmost respect. A huge plus is they now have in-house dialysis. Patients don’t have to be transported to their dialysis facility 3 times a week. I truly have nothing negative to say about this facility

It is awesome it’s clean. You see someone cleaning constantly. No odours. The staff is very welcoming they help you they are not judging you. My stay has actually been life changing and that’s all due to the staffs hard work! If you are needing rehab I highly recommend Parkside! It was so great it became like a second home to me and I didn’t want to leave. I would like to especially thank Modesta, Naomi, Brittney for being so kind and taking care of me and Kaylea and Melissa in therapy were excellent but I loved everyone. May favourite part of the stay was how much I improved with everyone’s help. The concierge program is worderful the girls in charge of it are always smiling . I could be having a bad day and they know exactly how to cheer me up. The haagan dazs ice cream was such a nice treat along with all the other snacks. When the girls come around the whole atmosphere changes.

Therapy was excellent. Took it slow and easy at first and slowly increased challenges. Very friendly people to work with. Parkside is a beautiful place, clean and all the staff were great. However, the food and kitchen do need a makeover. Need cooks that know how to prepare nutritious and balanced food diets with every meal and know how to keep hot food hot when trays are served. I would recommend Parkside for therapy needs.

I love this place! We have such a great activities department. We wrapped up a successful nursing home week with such creative themes. They took our residents on a "cruise" and visited different destinations. My favorite was Hawaii! This place collectively has the best staff from administration to environmental services. The therapy and therapists are superb and some of the best in the business! Definitely a jewel hidden in Northwest Georgia! Anyone would be pleased to have their loved one receive their short term, skilled rehab needs here!

Crystal at the front desk that lets me in and coordinates the off site Dr.'s appointments get's the 5 stars. She does a great job doing all of this with us knowing the Dr.'s Office call for last minute changes. She is always there to help get it worked out!! If you had a suggestion box I would suggest she get an EMAIL... to better communicate the changes and conformation calls plus a novel idea it makes ir easier for the patients family just to have an email address in 2025. Thanks to to David doing such a great job getting her to and back from Appointments in the vans For the physical & occupational therapy department, including specifically Jason Lacy!! Thanks to Judy plus Maggie & Cherria (sp) for help in getting her in and qualified ! April & Amanda do a GREAT job in Social Services !! They have the worst job there somebody is always complaining about something !! lolol Wished nursing staff would wear name tags !! it just helps us get to know each other. One last thing is the administration & staff parked in PARKING PLACES and not on the road coming in or the circle drive to the front entry door!!! Never seen a place the employees got the best parking places !! Thanks for all y'all do !!!!

I was up visiting with my aunt and the unit secretary at the nursing home Crystal was being so kind and sweet to the residents that was up there talking to her. As I was standing there she went and got a chair for me to sit in. Then one of the residents ask her for something to drink, she didn’t hesitate she just went and got it. She is SO caring and passionate about her job. She is definitely one to keep. If no one has told you Crystal you are doing an amazing job and it’s definitely noticed!

Everyone on staff was caring and attentive, especially CNA, Modesta. I felt that she was there especially for my mom! It was always a pleasure to see Contessa's, the concierge, smiling face. Hers was a service I had never experienced. Everyone was nice; nurses, food service, housekeeping, nurse manager, social workers. They did their jobs well. Thanks for taking great care of my mother.

Alex G (PT) is an amazing therapist. He is very knowledgeable and so encouraging to help you meet your goals. The entire therapy staff is incredible. They are so invested in your well being and recovery. Lee, Josh, KP, Melissa, Glen,Jonathan and Pam have been instrumental in my recovery. Jason(director) has amassed the best department around. Jana, Tori, Jennifer, Stephanie, Carl, Angie, Jade, and Alexia, are the best CNAs, always sweet and kind while taking the best care of you.CNA Ariel refused to answer my call light at night due to my being in Covid isolation, not okay. Mckenzie T. and Madison R. go above and beyond as housekeepers. Ashley, Alecia, Tammy, Joy, Amy, and Allison are wonderful RNs that make sure you're cared for. Business office and Social Services have been great in making sure all of your needs are met and your discharge plans are implemented. The food here is horrible. You have absolutely no say in what you're served. You can say your likes and dislikes, but good luck with that. I have been served a sandwich with hush puppies as a side, a bowl of bean with a roll, a roll and piece of cornbread with macaroni salad. It's tasteless and nasty food. Sarah , nursing director,is a very rude person, not caring how she speaks to or comes across to residents or staff, no interpersonal skills at all. Their pharmacy is located in Smyrna, GA and it often takes days for a medication to arrive. This seems so ineffective and bad for people who need meds. NPs Jessica and Carol are wonderful, very attentive and concerned for your well being. They are excellent at follow ups. Overall, this has been a mostly positive three month experience. I arrived unable to stand, stage 3 wounds and major weakness. I'm leaving healed and walking with a rollator.

I can not even begin to explain how pleased I have been with my son Cody Eason's stay at Parkside Rehab! Initially, we were disappointed when Cody could not get to go to Siskin for Rehab, but NOW we realize what a true BLESSING it is that he got to come to Parkside! Cody is 31 years old and has Downs and Autism - and Cody had MAJOR hip replacement surgery on June 7th, and after like a week and a half at Erlanger, Cody has been at Parkside Rehab for like 30 days, but is scheduled to go home Sunday July 21st! You can just see the care and conern on the face and in the actions of EVERYONE here! I almost hesitate to mention names, as I'm afraid I'll leave out someone (as EVERY Nurse, CNA, Doctor, Nurse Practioner, Physical Therapist, Person in Housekkeping, Activities, Social Services, etc.) has gone above and beyond to do a Great job, while being kind and caring to Cody and me (Cody's Father)! First off, we hadn't been here long when Contessa (the Concierge) brought Cody by a beautiful red plaid 'Eddie Bauer' blanket (that Cody has used extensively while here), not to mention Contessa coming by every day with a big smile on her face, while helping us with and bringing us anything and everything we need! Then there are the Physical Therapists (Nick and Courtney and Lee, and Jason, and others who helped at times) - What a true BLESSING y'all have been!!! - As you've worked tirelessly to help Cody try to be able to stand up straight and walk (where he has been bent over for years struggling to walk with basically no ball or socket in his right hip)! All the time displaying a wonderful caring attitude! Cody will truly miss you Nick, and Courtney, and Lee!!! Then the Nurse's - what can I say; all Great (sorry I may not remember some names)! - 1st Shift Nurse Naomi; what an Angel !! - as when Cody started complaining of hurting on his right side, Naomi listened to Cody's chest and heard fluid in his right lung (NOTE: This was days after Cody and I were quarantined in his Room for 19 days with COVID) - Naomi 'jumped into action', calling Dr. Jones (who has been very caring also) to immediately get breathing treatments, antibiotics, and a chest X-Ray ordered for Cody - What a beautiful, wonderful and caring lady, doing a great job! Then the wonderful caring Night Shift nurses (all of them, even though I may not have caught some names of ones not here as often)! - From Andrea during the week making sure to check on Cody during the night, and breaking up and helping him eat his crackers to help with taking his medicines - what a great, caring, helpful attitude! And Adam on the weekends; what a wonderful, caring guy (making sure Cody had a special pill for coughing, to everything needed, he was right there)! Then Rebecca at the front desk and Katie M.; two very kind and helpful people with anything asked of them! Then Nurse Practioner Jessica Denton: what a loving and caring lady! - She took time to sit there and discuss everything about Cody's health - and even though she had on a mask, as I told her, "You can see the love and concern and care in her eyes, and what a big 'heart' she has from her compassionate attitude"! I don't know if I can adequately express my appreciation for the tremendous manner in which the entire staff at Parkside has taken care of me. They have met and exceded my expectations in every aspect of my recovery after a car accident in May. If you are considering advanced rehab or extended nursing care for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Parkside. They are some of the best at what they do, and they strive to maintain their respect for you as a person, as well as helping you to maintain your dignity.
