The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe – Reviews
March 2023
Very nice place and professional managed.
March 2023
The management and staff at Rosewood are exceptional. We trusted them with the care of my mother and we were very impressed by the level of care she received. The accommodations are very well maintained the food and services are excellent. I highly recommend Rosewood if you are looking for a quality assisted living facility for your loved one.
March 2023
The caregivers are wonderful. Very kind and always willing to help. Maintenance has gotten extremely slow. The food has changed. When my mother first came they used real plates and silverware now it’s paper and plastic . Portions has been reduced with little or no diversity in the weekly menu. Almost like they’ve had a budget cut that’s limited meals to a lot of sandwiches and soups and always without condiments. Bread and meat makes for dry sandwich. There does seem to be slightly above average turnover in employees. Nursing and aides rock as well as physical therapy. Hoping they get a bus driver hired soon. It’s created hardships for the people that relay on it.

I needed short term care. After my first day I thought that it couldnt get any better. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that it could and that it continues to every day. All of my needs and requests are taken care of unbelievably fast time. My satisfaction is their desire and the caregivers and staff are the very best anyone could desire.

The care staff are among the most sensitive people I have ever worked with. Daily they treat the residents as though they were their own grandparents. The care staff are the backbone of Rosewood who enable each resident to life the best life still ahead. Thanks to each one for the love you live each day!

Great, caring & loving home for my Grandmother (Doris Barnes). She is on the memory side & all the nurses & employees seem to really have a love for the elderly. They make my Grandmother very happy! My experience with Rosewood and their staff is not exactly what I expected. I was responsible for finding a dear friend a home with round the clock care and excellent supervision. My brother had worked in this field for over 20+years and he helped me through the process. I remember him stating repeatedly, "do not get caught up in the beauty or grounds of the community", and by the way both are beautiful. Through the doors lies the real story, and here is mine; I visted to the point that I felt like an employee. The rooms were always clean, employees were cheerful and attentive. Medications were given on time, meals were timely and residents were encouraged to communicate with one another. Much like family settings. Residents are attended to in every situation. Employees know all their names. I have never heard shouting or witnessed any demeaning behavior. My friend like all residents go through an adjustment period, he was sure he would be leaving and going home. The care and communication the staff showed has now made him feel at home. He shares he is happy and content and seldom speaks of moving. I would venture to guess it would be very disruptive to move him out of Rosewood. Many positive things stand out to me, but one thing in particular. When speaking to those residents in wheelchairs, personnel stoop down to speak eye to eye. There are so many little things that make a house a home, and my friend is not in a facility, but he is in his Home. One other thing the staff was always at my side throughout the adjustment period. I too had an adjustment period. Every call was answered. My fear of leaving a friend with folks I did not know quickly passed. It's true, there is no place like home, and Rosewood is Home. My thanks to the staff.

I have been an LPN at Rosewood for almost 2 years now. I can honestly say I truly love my job. I love all of my residents very much. The staff that I work with is wonderful, they are truly like my family. I see them more than I see my family. The management team has been very good to me especially Connor. I recently started back to school to further my education and she has worked with my schedule to allow me to do this. She has pushed me when I felt like quitting and praised me and encouraged me to keep going and never give up. I truly am blessed to be a part of the Rosewood family.
