Absolutely Amazing how quickly this community has declined. Recent changes in management have prompted us to move my mom to another facility. While in her room, confined to her recliner, another resident was allowed to enter her room and beat her for 3 minutes. This was captured on video in her room. She was not fed for a day as her meals were placed out of reach in her room and taken away when not eaten. She is an insulin dependent diabetic. She is often left in saturated pull-ups to the point of her shirt and entire pair of pants being completely drenched in urine, which has caused break down of her skin. Wellness Director is very immature and I received an eye roll when addressing a concern today. Is this really the kind of place you would place a loved one? They also raised rent 6 months after we signed our lease, they are not cheap.

Had a good experience today at the Encompass Lunch and Learn. The Director and Staff at the Crossings are great and so easy to work with. They have the residents best interest at heart. The Crossings is lovely inside with a home like feel. Residents can move around with ease. Many use wheelchairs and rollators and get around just fine. So many activities for them to enjoy! Gardening, baking, bowling, golf, arts and crafts. My mom has lots to keep her occupied. The meals are excellent and there are plenty of snacks. I have no worries about her care.

A wonderful, caring place to have your loved one live. Surrounded by caring staff who go the extra mile regularly. The Director is very easy to work with. He understands how caregivers feel about putting their loved one in memory care. The nurse on staff is very knowledgeable and takes a lot of time to help family understand what is going on as your loved one ages. I cant thank them enough for taking care of my mother who is 92. It really has been the best decision I have made about my moms care.

Autumn Leaves has met and exceeded many of my expectations as it relates to the care of my mother. Above all, safety and quality of care were the deciding factors when I chose Autumn Leaves. The facility was built within the past few years and is designed specifically for memory care, with modern bedrooms and baths all on a single ground-floor level. The residents are well protected and share all the space together--not separate from other residents like some facilities. In addition, Autumn Leaves ensures that quality healthcare is provided and regular needs are met, such as salon services. Lastly--related to quality of care--the staff are very attentive, caring, friendly, and communicate regularly with me about my mother. Secondarily but no less important, cost was a deciding factor as well. Although price might vary between residents based on room choice and services, the Autumn Leaves rates are very transparent and usually are one fixed monthly rate. Unlike many of the facilities I interviewed, which tried to lure me in with one time deals or increasing rate plans depending on care level, Autumn Leaves charges a flat rate no matter what the care level is. In my opinion, the rate is fair and affordable and allows many benefits to the residents--activities, great food, parties, facility maintenance, etc.--without straining the budget. I highly recommend Autumn Leaves and feel its a top notch facility. The Assisted Living market is very competitive, but I didnt feel pressured in any way and the quality of care and living is being delivered exactly as promised during the interview. All things considered, its definitely a 5 star facility.

Autumn Leaves of Windward is the perfect place for my parents. When the time came that my parents needed memory care, I toured many of the local memory care facilities in and around Alpharetta. I found the physical layout of Autumn Leaves to be superior, as it allows my parents to walk around in a safe and secure environment without the feeling of being in a small segmented facility. The décor is beautiful, like a home, and the building is just a couple years old. No matter how nice the facility is, however, having a caring and dedicated staff is the most important aspect in choosing a location for your loved one. In my experience, I have been overwhelmed by the level of care that my parents have received at Autumn Leaves. Lots of great activities, such as helping to make cookies, sing-a-longs, arts & crafts, and much more keep my parents active, engaged & happy. I highly recommend Autumn Leaves of Windward.

After months of searching and many trial-error experiences with senior living locations for my 88-year-old Mom, I finally found the perfect home for her at Autumn Leaves of Windward. Not only is the facility beautiful, clean, and well kept, but the administrator and entire staff are highly professional and so caring. It has been four weeks now, and Mom is finally on the road to happiness again. Also, I would like to point out an important factor that sealed the deal for me on Autumn Leaves. Memory care is all they do, and they do is so well. The staff, facility, and resources are not divided between senior living, assisted living, and rehab, so memory care is not treated as the step-child of their business. Instead, Autumn Leaves directs 100% of their efforts to their residents, all of whom are in varying stages of memory loss. This is a win-win for both the supporting family and the resident. I could not be any more pleased than I am now and can finally sleep peacefully at night, knowing that Mom is in a safe and stable home where those around her on a 24-hour basis truly care about her and her well being. Thank you, Autumn Leaves, for providing this much needed service.

I visited numerous memory care facilities in the North Fulton area to find the right place for my mom. Autumn Leaves of Windward was indisputably the best home I found. They are solely dedicated to Memory Care so the entire facility is used by the residents (unlike most places that house Memory Care residents in a separate and usually inferior locked area). The facility itself is clean, new and gorgeous but most importantly it is specifically designed with the needs of Memory Care residents in mind so for example the halls are wide, it’s a horseshoe shape with no dead-ends, there are multiple dedicated activity rooms, beautiful and comfortable outdoor courtyards, the lights turn on automatically when entering the bathrooms, etc. Equally important the staff is specifically trained to address the many behavioral challenges of memory care and do so compassionately and competently. Howard, in particular is an absolute Rock Star with the residents. In addition, the food is amazingly good!! If you are in need of memory care for your loved one, I highly recommend checking out Autumn Leaves of Windward. It has been a godsend for us.

Autumn Leaves of Windward is a fine, full-time memory care, so it's a little sad, but it's a nice place. The people working there are very good. The grounds are impeccable and the location is an excellent spot right where it needs to be. My mother-in-law's apartment looks like a hotel room. She brought her own furniture. I think the price is expensive.
