I live in North Carolina, due to many factors, moving my Mom closer to us was not an option. I can't begin to tell you how difficult it is to have to make decisions over the phone and to only be able to visit every 6 weeks or so. Jackie (owner) is a lifesaver! The week mom was scheduled to move from The Palace to GGH I tested positive with covid, it was awful, mom had to be moved all by herself. Jackie kept in communication with me the whole time, facetiming and taking videos so I could see how things were going. Best decision ever, Mom is stable and the one on one attention she receives is unbeatable. Mom was falling too frequently at the other ALF, typically in the evenings and in her room. They would find her hurt and it was just awful, who knows how many hours she laid in pain. Mom has yet to fall once in the middle of the night and she has been there a year now. She is always clean and the house is spotless, you can see your reflection off the floor! The second best part....there are NO HIDDEN FEES! What we agreed on is exactly the same as it was on the first day! Give them a chance, your loved ones will be cared for.

Jackie and her staff are wonderful human beings. My mother lived with them a few years and when I went to visit, the place was always clean and the ladies well taken care of. Before Covid, I could visit anytime and was always welcomed even on my surprise visits. Of course, now they have to follow some protocols, but still I was always welcomed. It takes a special person to deal with elderly patients with memory problems and Maria was a champ with a smile and a lot of patience dealing with my mother who could be very difficult at times. It was a very difficult decision when it came time for me to leave my mother at a facility away from her home, but she most definitely found a home at Golden Girls Home and I was relieved and never looked back or regretted my decision knowing that she was cared for much better than I could have ever done myself.

My mom has been here for years and shes so happy. I have peace of mind that shes well taken care of. The place is so clean. Staff is very sweet and kind, she feels at home. I highly recommend this facility.

Amazing facility! My great grandmother lived here and I must say, it was home for her. We are very happy to have found such a loving place. The staff maintains the house clean and connected very well with us and the rest of the families. Definitely feels like home!

Let me start by saying that Jacqueline R. is AWESOME. I visited the Golden Girls location and it was very clean and the attendants were very gentle with the guests. I feel comfortable moving my mom there in the future.
