My grandmother has been in this facility for 5 years. The director, nurses, and staff have always listened in an attempt to remedy any concerns we have had. I truly believe my grandmother’s life has been prolonged due to the quality of care provided to her by Brookdale Mandarin Central.

We wanted to let other people know we really are happy with Brookdale Mandarin Central. Our Mom has been there for just under a year and we feel blessed to find such a wonderful facility. The staff is responsive and caring. Katrina runs the facility and finds very caring people to work with the residents. The food is hot and is very good, our Mom loves the meals. They have kept us informed on any issues that might occur such as Covid and Flu clinics within the facility. The entire process can be really difficult for families. Putting your loved ones in a facility you can trust is scary. Our family feels she is safe and well cared for. When we ask Mom how things are she always says the staff is very kind. They held a Mothers Day event recently for residents and families which was greatly appreciated. Nothing will ever replace the home she came from ,but this facility has made the transition work for our Mother. The best thing is that they are receptive to any concerns and work with us promptly. They were the correct fit for us. They have a wonderful person named Ray who worked with our Mom to make her feel at home upon arrival and continues to have her engage in activities. We feel lucky to have our family member in this caring facility.

My mother has been a resident at Brookdale Mandarin Central for two and a half years . I am delighted with the care that she receives there. Katrina Williams , the Executive Director is a very compassionate, caring and very skilled administrator. All of the staff that I have met are patient and caring . This is another testimonial to Katrina’s abilities. My mother really likes the food there which is so important . We visited all of the memory care centers in Jacksonville and Brookdale was a clear standout . We are very happy with our choice of Brookdale .

My family feels very fortunate to have found Memory Care at Brookdale Mandarin Central for our Mother. As our Mother's Alzheimers disease progressed we found we no longer knew how to help her cope with the mental and physical changes she was experiencing. Fortunately for us, the staff at Brookdale Mandaron Central has specialized training in caring for memory loss residents, above and beyond what is provided in an Assisted Living Facility. Our Mother has been a resident for almost a year. We have been impressed with the improvement in her attitude and general well being. We no longer worry she is skipping meals or medication or cleaning or hygiene, as she was when she lived alone. Katrina, Ray and Pedro are just a few of the extra special people available to her, and us, for help, questions or concerns. It is small enough facility to have a family feel...this is not a high rise with hundreds of residents where the staff doesn't know your name. The facility and grounds are clean and well maintained. There are appropriate daily activities and fun events, and the food is really good!

Brookdale Mandarin Central is a great place for a loved one who requires memory care. It was an easy transition for my 92-year-old Mom who had spent all of her life in NYC. The caregivers at Brookdale are very knowledgeable, supportive, and caring. Brookdale offers a wide range of activities, such as exercising, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, pet therapy, and "flex-your-brain" word games and puzzles, which keep the residents engaged and entertained. In addition, there are frequent outings to local parks, restaurants, and retail stores. The meals are wholesome and quite appealing. My Mom's room and the facility itself are both clean and visually uplifting. The courtyard provides sun and fresh air in a safe enclosed area. The facility is also pet-friendly, and our dog is allowed to visit. Brookdale's recent Mother's Day brunch was spectacular. Beautifully framed photos of each resident were given to the families to keep.

The ED is amazing, activities are always going on-they are engaging, purposeful and person centered, dining services-always multiple choices available and the chef can cook! Clinical services is on point and I would 100% feel confident with my loved one living there!

Mom has been with Brookdale for a little over a year now. Having to place a loved one in a facility with memory care is a daunting task. After my son and I looked at a few places we chose this facility because it was smaller, no elevators yet roomy enough for Mom to wander. When we first moved in we chose a room overlooking the woods since that was most similar to Moms view of her mountains in TN. Not long after the business beside the wooded area decided to bulldoze the trees and blacktop. Within days Brookdale was able to accommodate us by preparing and getting Mom into a new room overlooking the atrium. This is just one example of the care you will receive at Brookdale. You have to remember, you are the eyes and ears for your loved one, it is your responsibility to communicate your needs to the staff. If you are committed to the care of your family member Brookdale will handle your needs. The lines of communication are always open and the staff listens to what you have to say. Their jobs are not easy, but their commitment to providing excellent care is at the top of the list. I give kudos to the entire staff and appreciate everything they do for their residents. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to make the difficult choice of placing their loved one in assisted living.

My beloved Grandmother is in Brookdale and our family couldnt be happier! My Granny has lived independently for 20 years, but after a health scare late last year, we made the decision to put her in an assisted living facility. The staff at Brookdale couldnt be any nicer or more caring for our Granny, from providing 3 meals a day, to assisting in making sure her medicine is taken on time everyday, it has been one of the best decisions as a family weve ever made!

I attended an after hours jazz fest for senior providers this evening at Brookdale Mandarin Central. Gloria Davis and her team does an amazing job with their residents who I spoke to...they seemed happy they were there!

Brookdale Mandarin Central has been very good for my sister. Before going to live there, she was isolating, and had little interaction with people other than family. Now she is out and about. She enjoys the food and activities, especially BINGO!
