A Place For Mom
My mom is at this community. We are not happy that there is no communication. We have had to pay for extra care and it has been difficult. We have been trying to get the community to return our calls. The community was nice .and she did like the activites. This community lacks areas of communication and informing family members of what is paid for. I highly suggest that families ask alot of questions from the staff.

The room was to small and the bathroom did not have the bars secure around the toilet. The bathroom was small.

My mother has only been in Anam Parc II for a month now. I have no problems with them. They've been very cooperative. She is doing better, and I am happy with them. It's like they're living in a house like a family. There are only four patients there right now. They have home cooked food prepared every day, all three meals a day. They cooperate with me like when I have doctor's appointments to take her, and they get her ready, which the old place didn't. They're very helpful with helping me get her to the car, anytime I have to carry anything in and out of there, and making sure she is alright. It's a house with people who all have dementia, and they have five available resident slots. They're doing the nebulizer treatments for free. These are included, and the rate is $1200 a month less than where she was. They have several different private homes, and it's in a nice neighborhood. The people seem to be doing OK. Some of them were very advanced with Alzheimer's, but they take care of them, and they're gentle with them. I just love the place.
