My Mother (Nona) has been a resident at The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale for one year. My Mother absolutely loves it here. The staff are so wonderful and attentive to everyone's needs. Sheila Hernandez was the Sales Director at the time when we were looking for a new place for my Mom. Sheila was just promoted to Associate Executive Director and I would like to congratulate her. My family was so impressed with her and the facility that we didn't hesitate in procuring an apartment that has been nothing short of perfect for my mother's needs. Janessa Becker the Area Director of Operations is terrific as well making her transition and move into her new place as seamless as possible. I would also like to recognize the nursing staff, starting with the Director Caroline and other nurse assistants like Cynthia and Vanessa whom make sure all of my mother's prescriptions are administered to her and keep me informed and updated on any concerns they may have. The front desk staff, Barbara, Lynn and Kate have been outstanding and are so very nice to my family when we come visit. I can't say enough good things about them. They always greet me with a big smile and conversation that it's obvious they truly care about us. Anna her Physical Therapist insures my mother gets stronger everyday and keeps her active so she is able to get around and keeps doing the things that she enjoys. There are so many good people from Housekeeping, Restaurant and Maintenance employees that I would love to recognize each and everyone of them for taking such good care of my Mother. I know I didn't mention everyone by name but want all of you to know how much we appreciate you and all that you do for us every day. Thank you very much, from the bottom of our hearts. Carl Phelps

Due to the nature of my business, my wife and I spend a lot of time in assisted living communities all across Arizona and although there are plenty of nice ones, The Ranch Estates has a certain energy to it that's different from all the rest. The building is bright, the staff are loving, and the residents are all smiling the moment you walk in. I even personally recommended my wife's grandmother tour the location after she asked me what communities she should look into. Sheila, the Sales Director, came in on her day off to personally tour her and grammy couldn't stop talking about how nice and accommodating Sheila was throughout the experience. If your loved one is considering a community to call their next home, The Ranch Estates should be first on your list to check out.

Recently my husband stayed at Ranch Estates for short term respite stay. The overall feeling he had was that everyone made him feel welcome and special. We were unsure about the process and how it all worked as this was our first time. . Both Sheila and Carolyn were kind, supportive and encouraging throughout. That really helped relax us. The heart and soul of any community like The Ranch Estates is the people who work there. Thanks to all!!

Have been here 9 months and am pleased. The location was the main reason for my decision at the time but other factors have more than justified this move. The friendliness of both staff and residents is readily apparent. The Wellness Program is very well managed, with exceptional attention to detail, especially as it relates to efficient/effective medication management. There are plenty of activities and we particularly enjoy yoga, balance class and regular entertainment. And last, but not least, serving breakfast and lunch any time all day with three entree choices for dinner suits our schedules well.

My sister, Anita Rau has been at Ranch Estates for 9 yrs. and 9 months. The care she has received over the years from all the people in different departments who work at Ranch Estates has been excellent. Especially Janessa Becker and Ronda Rosenau. Any time I needed help with anything for my sister's care, someone was there to guide me in the right direction. With her handicap of hearing and wearing a hearing aid. Everyone was very kind to her. These are the things I observed when I visited her, kindness, patience, and a loving staff.

After an exhaustive search, we picked Ranch Estates of Scottsdale to be my Mother's new home in October, 2022. Very happy with our decision! Every department—Administration, Wellness, Maintenance, Food Service, Activities and more have bent over backwards to insure my Mom's needs are taken care of. When the occasional issue pops up (things happen!) the staff is quick to communicate with me - and helps find a good solution. For us, this facility is just the right size—big enough to have lots of great activities and food choices—but small enough (about 100 residents) to insure that no one gets ignored. One of the most impressive things about the facility is how they strive to make it a warm, friendly, and caring community for all. Staff and residents take it upon themselves to foster friendships. If you visit Ranch Estates, you'll notice lots of happy people in the hallways, activity centers, dining room, entry area, and more. Speaking of activities - This place has lots of them! Weekly music performances (with snacks), Physical activity classes, arts and craft classes, games of all sorts, movies and presentations, religious studies, trips for shopping and entertainment, in-house shopping from independent vendors, and much more. Activities are happening every single day of the week. The wellness staff has been great about keeping up with my Mom's ever-changing needs. If they have any questions or concerns, they quickly let me know. Plus they have taken the time to really get to know my Mom—they are some excellent, caring people. I've had many meals with my Mom since she moved in to the facility. Lots of choices for a facility this size - plus I've had some excellent meals there. It's great that the dining room is open about 11 hours a day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many healthy alternatives on the menu plus traditional favorites. I've also noticed that staff turnover is much lower at Ranch Estates compared to many other similar facilities in the area. This is a real tribute to the wonderful administrative team - finding and keeping good people helps insure a happy environment for all.

I have lived here almost 6 years now. I'm very satisfied with foremost the staff here. They are all friendly and do the best they can to ensure that I am also happy. They are consistently having different activities such as pottery painting, yoga, card games, tai chi and various entertainers to keep us entertained and active. I would definitely recommend to others looking for quality care to investigate the facility and explore it for yourself if you have someone looking for either independent or assisted senior living.

I first toured this facility a couple of years ago for my mom and have always wanted her to be able to move there. We were finally able to move her there this year and as a family WE ARE SO HAPPY! She has adjusted very well and loves it there thanks to the whole staff especially Ronda who handles the activities. Even through the shut down she has been very creative and able to offer activities that the residents really enjoy. My mom raves about the food and she's a tough critic :). The whole staff is awesome and truly cares about the people that live there. If you are looking at a facility for your loved one, you need to look no further as they are awesome! Update 10/25/2021 - My mom is still loving The Ranch Estates and is really liking all of the activities they offer like pottery, bingo, yoga, bible study, entertainment and dinner outings. She is so busy it's hard to track her down 🙂

As part of my work, I visit residents at Assisted Living facilities in the area. The Ranch Estates is the cream of the crop, at every level. Their facility is beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. They have a lovely outdoor courtyard and an outdoor balcony that are very inviting. The staff is genuinely warm, positive, and help the residents to feel welcomed and right at home. Previous to COVID, they offered a variety of activities, and their daily list of opportunities is impressive. They have worked hard to maintain family connections with the residents during the pandemic, which has meant so much to residents. There is regular communication from Management to residents and their families, that conveys a sense of caring, involvement and openess. I am very impressed, and can easily give them 5 stars!

Its not easy to give anyone a 5 star rating during the current conditions we are all living with from COVID. Unimaginably, my mother and stepdad have been on lockdown restrictions for nearly a year. While these restrictions have tested their patience, their faith and resilience to the max, The Ranch Estates has gone to great lengths to make this experience as cheerful, stimulating and tolerable as possible. The facility is clean, nicely decorated and full of fun experiences even during these times of great limitations. The food is very good with a variety of choices each day. Director Chris and his staff have kept us all informed whether the news was encouraging or not and, most importantly, have kept our loved ones safe.

Over the years I have been an entertainer at the Ranch Estates at Scottsdale. I have visited many retirement homes in my travels, but this is one of the nicest places that I have been to. The staff is extremely kind and attentive to the residents. The facilities are beautiful and clean. It is a very classy environment, yet feels very homey at the same time. They have a lovely dining room...it feels like you are on a vacation at a nice resort. There are courtyards with gardens and plenty of activities.On one of my singing engagements, I recognised two residents from a different retirement facility where I also sing . I had missed seeing them, and was thrilled to find them once again! I asked them how they were doing, and they said they loved living at The Ranch Estates so much more than the other place they had lived. I would highly recommend The Ranch Estates to anyone looking to find a safe and wonderful place for their elderly parents to live.

The Ranch Estates is hands down the best! This was the perfect community for my mother. When I first spoke with Misty, the Sales Director, I could just feel her warmth come through the phone. When Covid hit, Misty even started stopping by my moms house or giving her a call just to check on her every couple of weeks to see if she needed anything. I live 5 hours away and my mom was living alone, I cant tell you how much comfort this act of kindness brought to us both.After a few months, my mom was finally able to move into her own apartment on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. It was like she was on vacation every day!The staff is amazing, they always made sure mom had everything she wanted. They even made special accommodations for my family and I to have a private little birthday party for her complete with her favorite food and margaritas!I always felt like my mothers best interests and making sure she was safe and happy was their top priority.

Our Mom just returned from being in Rehab for five weeks after only being in her new apartment there for two weeks. The new Manager for Ranch Estates has excellent communication skills and is attentive to how his staff are performing their duties. Even though Mom was in Rehab, he kept us informed about how they were handling COVID rules and facility operations. When Mom returned he and the Head Nurse came and welcomed her back and interfaced with us and her on what she needed upon her return. We noted he has personally been observing staff activities related to Mom and her care. He also has setup regular communication meetings with the residents there and sends out frequent letter and e-mail updates on facility operations and FAQs. They are trying very hard to balance safety with the need to interface with family members. We are very satisfied that he and the staff put the residents first and would recommend to anyone this facility.

While not an ideal time given the COVID situation to move a loved one into a senior, assisted living facility, we knew we couldnt wait any longer as my mother could no longer live on her own. All the staff at Ranch Estates was so helpful in assisting us with whatever we requested to see the facility even though we couldnt actually get in there ourselves. There are so many options from exercise to activities, Bible studies, and my moms favorite - the daily snack! She raves about the food and says she feels like shes staying at a resort. The apartments are nice-sized and very clean and comfortable. She is so much happier and is excited about meeting new friends. I would highly recommend this place.

There are many choices out there in senior living communities, but The Ranch Estates is among the best. What makes it a wonderful choice? The staff that works there day in and day out. Rhonda treats my mother with loving care and concern as I do.....and provides wonderful treats and fun activities to keep Mom active and her mind alert. Lisa, Kelly, and Betsy are the face of the Ranch Estates as they warmly greet you on the phone or in person. Nothing you ask of them is too much and everything is done in a happy, positive way. If I cant be with Mom to meet her needs, I feel blessed that these ladies and other staff members are with her when I cant be. I know she is well cared for and can ask nothing more.

My mother moved to the Manor over 4 years ago to live closer to family in Scottsdale. She was an independent living resident at the Manor Village. The Manor rapidly became a true home for her. Mom truly loved living there and said it was one of her best decisions ever. Mom looked forward each month to receiving the new schedule of organized activities. She also enjoyed reviewing the chefs weekly and delicious dinner menu. She would anticipate each dinner with her friends and enjoyed having family join her for the monthly buffets.My mother was an active participant in many of the social activities organized regularly at the Manor. Mom passed away recently and I just wanted to share how supportive the Manor was during her final months living there. I would strongly recommend The Manor Village for anyone looking for a wonderful life experience for their Mom or Dad.
