I love this place. The staff is wonderful and friendly and always eager to help. There is so much to do each day. They try to keep us busy and have fun. I enjoy the meals very much. There is variety and all the food is excellent. The rooms are nice with plenty of room. I really love living here.

Truewood is my home. I love the people, the food, the security, and the community. The food is really good, I feel safe here. I have met so many good friends here. Everyone is friendly and the activities are great. I have lived here for 2 years and this is where I feel at home. I highly recommend Truewood. I cannot think of one thing that I do not like - I love it here.

This facility is amazing. My parents moved in on Nov. 4th. The next day my dad had to be taking to the hospital and the day after that, my mom was taken to the hospital. My parents weren't even in their apartment 24 hours and the staff was asking how they could help me. Once my parents came back, once again they wanted to do all they could to help. They are AMAZING. Their apartment is very nice, the food is excellent and as I have said, the staff is amazing.

I needed to move my mother from Ohio to Scottsdale to live closer to us. I started the search online as most people do and found a site called A Place for Mom which lead me to Truewood by Merrill. What I immediately loved about it was the comfortable size of the facility. I felt not too big and not to small...Just right !....Krisinta helped me through the intros of the facility and each person I met took the time to say hello & introduce themselves. I believe you can tell a lot by meeting people face to face . By the end of the first meeting I felt like the team truly wanted to help the residents & enjoyed their jobs. We even found out about a VA program that could help support my mother's stay. It been 3 months and everyone has been great and most important my mother loves the place and has already made many new friends. I would highly recommend Truewood by Merrill !

Truewood is always trying to make sure that I'm happy. I love my apartment. The food is good. The courtyard is delightful-the activities are interesting. I love my home here.

Always has the Best Receptionist and Welcome Center, the Activity director really has the Residents Focused and active throughout the day. The place is clean and everyone just seems the enjoy they’re work while being there. Parking is easy accessible. They have a fabulous fitness program for there residents which really adds value to our loved ones getting a great quality lifestyle.

Sad. Negative review. Unfortunately, this review is negative. The prior company was sold and there have been too many changes that are negative for families and residents. Covid issues are one thing but mega corporations owning nursing homes with a focus on profits is too difficult to ignore. I could detail the list but she is still there and won't leave. She is unable to change at her age so we just monitor and pray for the best. I wish I could recommend a few assisted homes but I can only give you some advice. I wish we inspected and shopped around. Too late. My advice and questions: Shop around. A lot. This is a pain but you have to to it. Compare A lot! Inspect. Everything. Take family with you. Or a friend. More eyes and questions are better. Ask a lot of questions Read the contract carefully Note yearly auto increases Note the small additions. They add up quick. Understand the levels. Food is critical. Change in chefs can be terrible. Food significantly affects health. How many floor staff per resident? Any filed complaints? How many covid deaths? They probably will not tell you. Most nursing homes had some and they don't reveal. They hate to admit covid deaths at facility. Obvious point but family should know. Why not? How often or turn over in staff? Are they using temps? Temp agency? For what? What is deposit? Refundable? Negotiable? What is termination fee? No carpet. Trips occur. Hardwood pergo flooring clean and no tripping. Television included? Telephone? Detail in contract how many times clean room? Wash cloths? Weekly? How long has management been there? Who owns it? Mega Equity Company? Probably. Finally. Please remember that nursing homes are money makers. Cash flow. This is reason big Wall Street Equity Companies own them. Hundreds of them. Our elderly loved ones and family generate cash. Easy cash. So don't be aft to ask questions! Your paying the bill so they should answer.

I was so pleased how well the staff in the memory care section of Desert Flower assisted my father during his short time he was there until his passing. The staff was dedicated in my fathers care and making sure he was comfortable. I would highly recommend Desert Flower for your loved one.

Rebecca and Stephanie are such knowledge nurses! The community itself is very nice especially the dining area. I also really like Paul the activities director. Easy to talk to and really enjoys his job. Bayada Home Health is going to have a space in the building according to my tour and thats great news for my Mom.

I have had great interactions with Desert Flower. Would recommend them for Memory Care or Assisted Living for family members. Great community with a lot of great things happening!
