We have an extremely complex special needs son, with a myriad of unique mental and behavioral challenges. He's been at numerous care facilities over the past 30 plus years, including home care, group homes, private facilities and state run facilities. All of which failed to provide the proactive and hands on support he needs to keep him and the community safe. Heritage Lane is the ONLY place, through their unique Milieu therapy approach, that has positively impacted our son's life and his future. We are so thankful for the visionaries that created this truly transformational approach to working with adults such as our son. We are also thankful for the providers and staff at Heritage Lane--they are truly hands-on daily caregivers and therapists (and super great cooks by the way!), that address all facets of life: behavioral modification, life skills, personal hygiene, money management, healthy food choices, peer interaction, nursing, and beyond. Finding Heritage Lane for our brother has been life changing for our entire family. He has now been there for almost two years. The staff is phenomenal with every person being competent and highly trained, loving, compassionate and considerate. Thoughtful food and menu choices have been a highlight in controlling weight and blood sugar fluctuations. This is a close-knit community that is truly a family of caring residents and staff. Recently our brother was sick and needed hospitalization. A person from the staff regularly visited him in the hospital and facilitated transfer back to Heritage Lane. After searching country-wide for a facility, Heritage Lane is truly one-of-a-kind and a blessing for our brother to call home. Bill (family member)

There might be places that are bigger and fancier, but I can tell you one thing that they don’t have that we do We have a Owner/Nurse/Director and Employees who ACTUALLY CARE for residents that live here. Where there focus is the residents where respect matters and where they treat others the way they want to be treated. There are a lot of places that say exactly what you want to hear and give you false hope. This place though is different they are people you can trust with your loved ones ’

My brother came to Heritage Lane in 2010 to live. His life beforehand was chaotic at best. Here, they provided him with consistency and round the clock care. Both his mental illness, and his physical ailments were treated together. This approach to patient care sees that each resident gets what they need at any given time. Behavior plans, medications if needed and positive reinforcements gave my brother support and the respect he deserved. Our family was always included in his staffings and encouraged our participation. His terminal illness required he have end of life support in a hospice facility, where he quietly passed away last month. I still feel as though Heritage Lane is part of our family and always will be. Thank you Heritage Lane.

I want to sincerely thank the entire team at Heritage Lane for the incredible compassion and care they provide to my severely mentally and physically disabled brother for the past three years. From ownership to front office admin to caregivers, everyone has been totally supportive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for him with his wide range of very challenging needs. Even with the many difficulties, they continue to treat him respectfully and appropriately following the well planned and thoughtful mental health care program designed to provide guidance and support but also set clear expectations and boundaries. The staff are often helping me in managing my expectations and my own interactions and behaviors to continue my knowledge of the complexities of mental illness. I also want to comment on and commend the management team of their Covid 19 response. It was totally above and beyond compared to what many people have seen and read about in the news of how some more corporate-type assisted living facilities acted. HL took stringent and expeditious actions to prevent community spread among this high risk residents. The communications coming to us as guardians/ families/ responsible parties was so in depth and detailed. They were always available to answer questions or concerns I had. I had and have utmost confidence in the program and the management team that my brother is as safe as could be possible with what they instituted and the measured way they are lifting restrictions. I want to continue my brother's placement at HL as I know the management and caregivers are uniquely qualified to manage his mental health needs and challenges. And they are more than willing to work with our family for an overall personal care plan that makes sense for him.

You have a very nice facility. Very clean. The staff seems to really care about it's patients. I did notice one one employee who was rude and disrespectfull towards other staff members.. Her name is Rose or Rosa. Not sure if she was having a bad day or she's like that all the time. I'm only giving three stars because of that employee, otherwise it'd be five

Great facility with a caring staff. My sister was a resident at Heritage Lane for 8 years. The owner and staff treated her like family. They provided a caring environment and dealt with health and behavioral problems promptly. The family was kept informed through regularly scheduled family conferences and immediate communications if she had any trouble. The facility common areas, residents rooms and restrooms are clean and well kept. We were blessed that our sister had such a great environment for so many years.

I have a family member who is staying at heritage, they have been in other facilities before. But Heritage is by far the best one. They are on top of my brothers activities and are very concerned with his safety. While being there he has been able to do several activities where in the other places this was not an option. Some of the activities include going to a Diamond Backs game, going to the movies, taking them to Walmart each week. They also get to help choose what is on the menu. The staff is very friendly and cares about the needs of their residents. They have also been very helpful whenever I have a question or a concern. They respond to my e-mails and I feel like I can communicate better then any other place my brother has been.

The staff here are incredible. They are always willing to take time out of what they're doing to help anyone in need, everything gets fixed right away if broken, and the patients are well taken care of. I definitely recommend!

I have a family member who had to stay at heritage and they had a wonderful experience here. The staff was very friendly and educated on the needs of the residents. The facility was very clean and food choices met the standards of the people staying there.

I have worked and visited many Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Behavioral Health settings. I have yet to see an Assisted Living that offers its residents what Heritage Lane Behavioral Assisted Living does. It has a structured, behavioral, individualized plan of care that allows its residents the opportunity to succeed. The owners and the staff strive to meet the needs of even their most discerning and vulnerable customers.
