Friendship Village of Dublin and Neil Edelson have been amazing to work with as we navigate a new path with our elderly parent. They have thought of everything, down to the most miniscule detail as far as providing a comfortable and safe environment to continue aging in. Every detail is covered and explained in a very thoughtful manner. This was a scary road when we started looking, but Neil put us right at ease. We know, with confidence, that this is the right place for our parent. The campus is beautiful and the amenities are too many to list.

The staff is absolutely amazing, particularly Nourrou! I have been at friendship village for almost 2 years, and i've never had a better experience with anyone but Nourrou. She is always in a great mood, and brightens my day. Thank you friendship village and thank you Nourrou!!

My wife and I (both retired) witnessed several individuals forced to move from their residence because of an unexpected health diagnosis. This relocation created a challenge for their family. A fall resulting in a cracked pelvis triggered us to become proactive and consider moving from our home. We prepared a check list of what we wanted in a retirement community and visited several facilities. Friendship Village of Dublin (FVD) stood out above all the others. There we met Neil Edelson, sales manager. We appreciated his professional manner, no pressure, and his understanding that such a move could be a traumatic experience, especially since we had lived in the same house for fifty-one years. He helped us realize that this facility was an ideal community for us. We went back for another meeting with Neil, and this time our daughter (ER doctor) and granddaughter (Medical student) joined us. They were most impressed with Neil and the cleanliness and care-focused assistance for residents. We moved into Friendship Village at the end of March. We selected this facility for the following reasons: 1. It is a continuing care community, meaning there is Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Rehab, and Nursing Home Care. Whatever level of Care is needed it is in the same location. 2. Four dining areas, with a wide assortment of menus to select from. 3. LifeCare ensures your care is provided for life. 4. It is a Non-profit, financially sound and well-managed facility. 5. It gives our children and their spouses and our grandchildren Peace of Mind as well as ourselves. Our personal experiences have reinforced we made the right decision to call FVD our home. Both the residents and the staff are extremely welcoming. Jen Norder, move-in coordinator, made sure we transitioned well to our new surroundings. The Staff is focused on our emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and that is one reason we are glad we made FVD our home. Gail and Don Olson

Moving here has been among the best decisions I have made. Ever. The community is warm, caring and welcoming. There are so many in-house activities and Columbus outings! From Day 1, Neil Edelson has been available, patient, and informative, helping me find the right fit. After choosing the unit, Jen Norder took over and the red carpet treatment continued. She helped me navigate the paperwork, the quagmire surrounding the move and buoyed my spirits when needed. Now, I look forward to near maintenance-free living and making new friends.

Moving to Friendship Village of Dublin (FVD) was the last joint decision my husband Mike and I made before his death from a long-term illness. So glad he "insisted" I choose FVD. The process could have been horrific following so close on the heels of Mike's death, but the folks at FVD have been wonderful. The entire experience has been uplifting. From my initial tour with Neil Edelson through my move-in which was facilitated by Jen Norder, I have been guided as I made choices that would best serve me in this new phase of my life. If you are considering a move to a residential retirement facility, I highly recommend FVD. I was concerned that I would be fending off high pressure personalities who would want me to commit "today." Nothing like that happened at FVD: Neil and Jen have been respectful, available to answer questions (and I had a LOT of questions), prompt in returning calls and very open about the FVD experience. I was on an emotional roller coaster: Am I really old enough (75) to move to a place like this? Should I just stay where I am for a couple of years? Should I move in with one of the kids? Should I build a smaller home on a lot we own? Should I just buy one of the smaller new homes being built in our community? And the deciding consideration was, "What do I want the rest of my life to look like on a day to day basis?" The answer made the decision clear: FVD was the best choice for me. Thanks Neil and Jen for smoothing my transition.

Moving my 84-year-old mom from her home of 40 years to Friendship Village Dublin was daunting, but Leah Davis and Jen Norder made it seamless. Leah’s patience and guidance, plus a lunch with a resident, eased every concern. Jen handled the move-in flawlessly and made us feel like family, even checking in after the transition. Today, my mom is thriving with a full social calendar and enjoying all the activities. Friendship Village is truly a welcoming, vibrant community”I highly recommend it!

Neil, Thanks so much for the work you and Jen provided for our friend to move into Friendship Village. From our first meeting to move-in day, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. An available apartment was identified, new countertops purchased and installed, and other improvements provided, all with the goal of having our friend comfortable in her new surroundings. You and Jen were always available to answer any questions we had about the apartment, finances, available services and amenities. The move went smoothly - our friend is now making new friends and enjoying life at Friendship Village. Thanks again for everything you and your staff did to welcome her. We plan to visit frequently. I recently helped a friend explore the option of relocating to an independent living facility. Friendship Village quickly earned the top choice! From the very first phone contact with sales manager, Neil Edelson, we received efficient and gracious customer service. Upon our visit, Neil was patient and calming to my friend, who was very anxious about moving. There was never any sales pressure to make a decision. After my friend choose Friendship Village, the moving coordinator, Jen Norder, took over the process with incredible kindness. Just like Neil, Jen was always available to answer our many questions. She provided helpful suggestions and exceptional support during a challenging time for my friend. Overall, we found the sales team of Friendship Village to be consistently professional and second to none!

After exploring several dierent options for senior living, including aging in place, we decided on Friendship Village of Dublin - and we are very happy that we did. Importantly, Neil Edelson and Jen Norder were an absolute delight to work with in helping us make this life- changing decision. Neil is incredibly patient! We, including our grown children, spent literally hours with him, asking questions, seeking clarification, etc., and he was always attentive and responsive. Once we decided to live at FVD, Jen assisted us wit the move-in process and immediately made us feel like we were a part of the family. She did everything to make us feel welcome, including checking on us frequently as we transitioned. Working together, Neil and Jen truly make a great team. Ron and Pat Grogan

Leah Davis worked with us when my mother was deciding on which independent living center she should move into. It was a move from out of state, with a lot of decisions to be made. Leah worked with my mother and myself for several months to answer questions and be a listening ear while my mother mulled over her choices. I appreciated Leah’s patience and reassurance as we made our way through the process. Leah made all the difference in my mother deciding to move to Friendship Village of Dublin, and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Leah to anyone who is wondering about FVD! My mother is settled and enjoying her new apartment, getting involved, and making new friends.

I am pleased to write a review of Neil Edelson, Sales Manager, at Friendship Village of Dublin. My husband and I had an excellent experience working with Neil when we contacted Friendship Village 7 years ago. He was very professional in the entire sales process and was extremely knowledgeable. He was especially helpful in selecting the perfect apartment for us! More recently, I had the pleasure of recommending Neil to friends, who had a similar sales experience. I recommend Neil Edelson without reservation. Lee Ann Igoe

Lea Davis was the person who sold me on moving to Friendship Village in Dublin, Ohio. She is fun and easy to talk to, very knowledgeable about Friendship Village, and helpful in handling the paperwork. I was moving from Cleveland, I have two sons in the area, and she worked with our various schedules so that we could all see the facility and ask questions. I always received quick responses to my concerns and clear instructions as to what I needed to do. Lea arranged for me to have lunch with two residents so I could get their points of view of living at Friendship Village. She is good at what she does and a pleasure to work with. Karol Hoeffler

We moved to Friendship three years ago. After only a few weeks, My husband said he wished we'd come here 5 years ago. We've loved every day here. Great friendships, loads of fun activities. Something for everyone. You can't be bored. The beautiful landscape shows the quality and care that surrounds us. The staff is dedicated to enhancing every day for us. All three levels of care are staffed by kind, caring associates. We looked at many other communities in the area and FVD is far superior. Worth evey penny. It's the best of the best in our estimation.

Yes, Friendship Village of Dublin is definitely a 5-Star residence and organization! It wasn't a long time decision to be made. Since I am a 52 year resident of Columbus, and FVD is close to my previous residence, with my families living close by, this was the choice (even though I never made comparisons with other retirement neighborhoods). My son gave a presentation at the village, in September and recommended that I research it for my new home. At the end of September, I had my first introduction to FVD with Neil Edelson, in the marketing department. I was later introduced to Jen Norder, who is the "Move-In" coordinator. Both were extremely helpful advising me with the requirements in order to make my move. Jen supplied me with recommendations for movers, places of businesses who could help with sale of household goods and furniture. There was never a rush ~ a one-bedroom apartment was available, which was most desirable for my needs. And at the end of November, my move was made! Jen, with her pleasant personality, answered questions, made suggestions and helped me with introductions to various departments and their personnel at FVD. Since living here, I am overjoyed with the abundance of activities, the classes available and the educational presentations given through movies, discussions and talks! I never needed to investigate any other retirement facility. My son's suggestion, in the first place, and the information shared by Neil Edelson was sufficient. I am delighted to have Friendship Village of Dublin as my retirement home. My families know that I will be well cared for, for the rest of my life.

My experience at Friendship Village has been very good. It began with an investigative trip to the location. I had heard quite a bit about Friendship Village from friends of mine who already lived here. I worked with Leah, one of the sales reps. She was very knowledgeable, very outward, and very patient with me. She took time to answer all my questions. When I finally got serious, she offered an overnight stay so I could see a little more in person what the facility was. I made the decision and signed my paperwork in April 2025. Thus far, I find the facility a pleasant place to be, full of new friends and new experiences. That doesn’t mean I gave up my former life, however. So I am settling in to Friendship Village becoming a committed resident.

Our experience at Friendship Village of Dublin was tops. We signed our contract in mid June and moved in 2 months later. Jen and Neil were wonderful to work with. They answered all our many and frequent questions. We were able to make many selections as our unit was being completely redone. We have felt very welcomed as many people have reached out to us for dinner plans. It’s better to be here 5 years too early than attempt it 5 years too late. After carefully considering a move to a senior living facility, I made my decision and moved into Friendship Village of Dublin in late July. With the support of Neil, our Senior Residency Counselor and Jen, our Move In Coordinator, my transition has been pleasant and seamless. Neil could not have been more patient and helpful as I worked through my decision process, and Jen has been there whenever needed ready to answer every question and attend to all the details of getting set up and settled into my new home. Since moving in, I have enjoyed becoming reacquainted with former friends while meeting many new welcoming residents. With the wide range of activities, services, and dining options, I am enjoying busy days and a healthy lifestyle in the beautiful environment here at Friendship Village of Dublin. Wayne Wookey

Health and lifestyle were at the top of our list as we made plans to move to a retirement community. Neil Edelson, Senior Residency Counselor for Friendship Village of Dublin, was great at asking questions and then, listening to understand, what we were looking for. Neils questions were so helpful without any pressure. He took us on a tour and we saw not one, but two workout centers, a beautiful pool area, and four dining venues that friendship Village has to offer. We toured several apartment floorplans and saw many rooms where people could gather to enjoy book clubs, card clubs, as well as many other activities. We also saw many beautiful gardens throughout the complex. As couple we like to be together. Neil discussed options if one of us needs to take advantage of assisted living or memory care. He was also well-versed in all of the financials. Downsizing into our apartment seemed overwhelming at first. Jen Norder Move-in Coordinator alleviated that stress allowing us multiple visits to the space. Her always pleasant personality had a calming effect on plenty of measuring, planning, and remodeling activities. Neil and Jen were with us every step of the way. As a team and as individuals, we would rate them five stars out of five stars for getting us into the perfect environment for our new lifestyle.

There is so much to do or not to do “ our choice. EVERYONE is truly friendly and supportive our old friends and new ones - plus the staff are so engaging. knowing that ROWAN HOUSE(memory care) could be in our future is of great comfort. but ” big surprise” I had a stroke in April which put all of our pre planned wishes into play immediately. From who would be with my husband while I was in the hospital to our COPC in the building Doctor calling the squad. All of my physical and speech therapy have been in our building. the kindness, concern and care from everyone has been wonderful. Now we are back to our routines of exercising, lectures, movies, trips, and the swimming pool. No one talked us into coming here. It just felt right ”- trust your gut !!

The facilities and grounds are top-notch and meticulously maintained. What makes Friendship Village of Dublin five stars, though, is its people; both the staff and residents. My father moved here from out of state, and I coordinated things to ensure a smooth transition for him. The staff, especially Emily and Jen, are super knowledgeable and, very importantly, patient with my many questions and visits to take measurements. Dad has been welcomed by his move-in "buddies" and all the residents and is acclimating to the community. There's no shortage of things to do here on a regular basis. Betsy and I moved to FVD in October 2020. The decision to leave our home of 38 years here in Columbus and move to a retirement community was not an easy one to contemplate. That process meant acknowledging that our desire for continued independent living might at some point have to yield to a need for assisted or continuous care. It took us several years to "start looking, and we looked here in Columbus and closer to where our children live on the East Coast. On our first visit to FVD, we met with Neil Edelson in the marketing group. We spent well over an hour as he reviewed the many options “ types of residences, other facilities, meal plans, etc. that were available. Importantly, we established a relationship; Neil advised us over several months as we determined what would work best for us. Once we made our decision and the unit became available, we received invaluable assistance during our transition from downsizing to moving in. FVD has proven to be everything that was advertised and more. The facilities are terrific and the staff in all areas could not be more friendly and helpful. Covid 19 raised its ugly head as we were looking and subsequently moving in. FVD’s response to the pandemic has been and continues to be outstanding. In short, our move to FVD has allowed us to continue our personal and professional relationships of many years and make new friends in the Village with the knowledge that if we need more assistance, it will be here for us.

What a truly incredible place and experience. We were very close to having my Mother become a resident of Friendship Village but had to change plans (Covid, Health, etc) by having her move out west to where we live. • Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
  • Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
  • Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

If there is any information that is inaccurate or needs to be updated, please contact Assisted Living Center.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
