Reviews Harbour Manor & The Lodge
July 2026
The Lodge has been the perfect location for our mother! The staff has been so very accommodating, respectful and caring! From the initial meeting with Hannah, the experience has been wonderful. The process to assist the transition to a new residence for my mother was so smoothly done. Everyone was so welcoming, polite and supportive! We have great relationships with the staff to help with any important matters or decisions that may arise. We are so happy with The Lodge!!

Perfect place for mom! The executive director is a great roll model to his employees. He exhibits a true sense of caring which seems to be emulated by his employees. The nursing turnover seems to be very low, which is a very important factor to research when looking for longterm care facilities.
July 2026
Was very welcoming and helpful to the application/move-in process. Hannah was the absolute best person that we worked with She started the process and helped us with everything that we needed to do. She even had a welcoming gift and flowers when my sister Moved in! The nursing staff are very sweet and kind, for the director is easily accessible by phone or text, and even though the rooms are small when they're decorated, they look very nice. The only negative I would give is the food. It really was excellent when we first moved in three years ago, but it is not to the quality it should be. It's passable but not great all in all I give it four out of five stars.P

My mother stayed at the Lodge until she moved to memory care and I could not be happier with the care she received from the excellent nursing and care staff. The nurses who looked after her were sincerely interested in her well being and I am grateful to them for that. Bea, the lead nurse, is wonderful, knowledgeable, and helped us throughout her stay. Thank you again!

Harbour Manor is the place for only people who you love and respect and want only the best care possible.
February 2026
The physical therapy was well done and the staff was knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, especially for guests and visitors. There was plenty of storage and closet space. The amenities they provided were very useful. However, the bed was uncomfortable for my large husband, until they brought in a different model to accommodate his size. The director of the facility was quite pleasant. The aides who helped him shower were exceptional. Generally, the upkeep of the room was well maintained, and the maintenance staff was quite competent in making repairs. However, the food service lacked cohesion, despite meeting with the head of the food service department. In the three weeks my husband stayed here for rehab, they never could get his food service correct. He has many allergies, which were often ignored in his food preparation. He is allergic to eggs, but they continued to bring him eggs for breakfast for over a week. He is on a high protein diet, and rather than offering a variety of proteins per meal, the protein of the day was just doubled, making for too much (wasted) food. There were other issues as well regarding food service. The nursing staff was probably well trained, but it seemed they were always being run ragged (staff shortage?) Some of the medical needs for my husband were not taken seriously, despite many attempts to remedy the situation. Sometimes it would take a long time for someone to answer the call bell, other times it was answered very quickly. And while we assume most of the staff was honest, my husband discovered money missing from his wallet when we finally arrived back home. So leave your valuables with your family or at home before staying here. Generally, it was more uncomfortable for my husband as a patient than for me as a visitor. Staff was always pleasant to me and answered my questions. As far as rehab facilities, I expect we could have done much worse. I appreciated that the door was always "open" whenever I wanted to visit, whether early in the morning, or later in the evening. One quickly learns how to get in and out of the facility "after hours". There was not always staff available at the front desk, but when someone was there, they were very friendly.

Our family has had such a wonderful experience with Harbor Lodge in Noblesville. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel confident and at peace with placing our 84-year-old mom in their care ” and that peace of mind is priceless. The caregivers are compassionate, patient, and genuinely kind. They treat our mom with dignity, respect, and warmth, and it truly feels like they see her as family, not just a resident. The environment is clean, welcoming, and calm, and there is always someone available when she needs assistance. We’ve been especially impressed with the communication from staff and leadership ” they keep us informed, involved, and reassured every step of the way. The activities, meals, and social opportunities have helped our mom stay engaged and feel connected, which has made a huge difference in her quality of life. Choosing assisted living is never easy, but Harbor Lodge has made it a beautiful and comforting transition for our entire family. We are deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and professionalism they provide every single day. We would wholeheartedly recommend Harbor Lodge in Noblesville to any family looking for a safe, loving, and trustworthy place for their loved one.
November 2025
My wife came to Harbour Manor for hospice care from the hospital. This rating is only for the care from Harbour, not the hospice agency who is added to the care team. Harbour was responsible for the day-to-day care of Nancy. First, we were lucky to get a solo room. Most long term care is done in double rooms. We had less stress than people in double rooms. Dealing with a roommate could have been stressful. I had thought about taking my wife home, but am extremely happy that I selected a nursing facility to take care of her. It allowed me to remain the loving husband and not the stressed out caretaker doing laundry, cooking, cleaning and the care of my wife. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Harbour Manor. They are amazing care takers. I could list the many nurses and aides who cared for Nancy, but I would hate to miss anyone and make them feel slighted. They were ALL wonderful! I expected to run into someone who was a "prickly pear". People have bad days but no one interacted with my wife was short tempered or ill tempered. Maybe they fight in the backroom with each other, but nothing but care and concern was shown to us. It was amazing to me. I do believe in the adage "You reap what you sow." Nancy and I were very appreciative of the care they provided. They have hard jobs - some residents have been in Harbour for years and may not want to be there. If your loved one tends to be crabby or expects concierge hotel service, then they may be disappointed. Before I went to meet the Admissions Director, Ashley, I talked to any resident what I could see. The three of them said the care was good. This was not coerced feedback - no staff was around. That said a lot about the care at Harbour so I felt comfortable placing my wife there. The front office of Ashley and Brittany provided very loving service. They are wonderful. The local social worker Emily is very kind. Even Jenn the custodian gave kind and caring words to me. Cardon has a lot of facilities in Indiana. A member of our church went to Hamilton Trace for hospice care, a facility about 3 blocks from our house. His widow said his care was wonderful. But no rooms were available at Hamilton Trace. Harbour Manor is a sister facility and I hoped it would provide similar care. I checked and found if a room came open in Hamilton Trace, it was an easy process to transfer my wife from Harbour Manor. Nancy was only in hospice 10 days, a lot shorter than expected. Nursing care is expensive. But like I said, using Harbour Manor allowed me to remain the stressed but caring husband. I don't know how to go through hospice WITHOUT stress. I don't think it is possible, but Harbour Manor minimized my stress. I knew my wife was well taken care of when I was not there. I typically was at the facilities from 8:00AM to 10:00PM. Like all performance reviews "Past performance is no indication of future performance." But I think this kindness and high quality come from the top down. If Jacob Atkinson is still the Facilities Administrator, I expect the care will still to be be very high. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the kind and caring staff at Harbour (Freight) Manor who took care of Nancy. I would tease the nurses and call Harbour Manor Harbor Freight as a stress reliever. They soon caught on.
October 2025
My mother is there now. And has problems daily. The food is awful. The aides take forever to change their briefs. The call lights stay on for well over 30 minutes. And same goes for the meds. I walked the hallway and could see the dust on ledges, even a coffee stain. I have met a few really nice people there. Please help
October 2025
I have been to Harbor Manor numerous times for physical therapy following a hospitalization. The facility is clean, comfortable, and up to date. My beds have always been comfortable and the food good. The staff is freindly, professional, kind and caring. I will be happy to return if/when I am in need of physical therapy rehab with skilled nursing again.

Brittany was very helpful in guiding us through the admissions process. Even though her efforts did not result in admission, she was generous with her time, very supportive, and 100% pleasant to work with!

April 2025
We had a wonderful experience with my mother’s move in at Harbour Manor and Lodge. Brittany and Ashely made the transition easy and answered all of our questions and concerns. The staff and unit manager Candace take wonderful care of Mom. She is enjoying daily activities and is very happy with her life at Harbour Manor.
April 2025
Great administrative staff who manage the facility and clients very well. With only one exception, the nursing staff and therapy staff were superb. Food was decent but the 5:00 dinner time was a bit early for us. Overall, I rate the experience very high and probably better than most other facilities.
December 2024
My husband arrived at Harbour Manor on a Saturday afternoon needing rehabilitation services, especially therapy, after having total knee replacement. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. They were ready for us. He was immediately started on OT & PT the next day, and it was continued every day. Everyone was very professional, yet friendly. The entire staff was positive, supportive and attentive. My husband progressed very well and was able to go home after just one week. What we initially thought was a setback, because we assumed he was going home from the hospital the day after surgery, ended up being a positive and rewarding experience. I would highly recommend Harbour Manor for their rehabilitation program.

Harbour Manor made the last year of my brother's life as comfortable as possible while giving him excellent medical and personal care. He and the family made many new friends also along the way.
November 2023
My disabled brother needed rehab therapy after a bout with pneumonia. We needed to get him functioning to his baseline abilities for him to be able to return to his group home, his home for the past 45 years. Harbor Manor staff gave my brother all of the resources available to ensure his return to his home. My brother & I & siblings were very impressed by the care & attention he received @ Harbor Manor & we are grateful for the kindness, compassion & sincere engagement they shared with us.
October 2023
Most people I have communicated with have been wonderful & have answered all my questions & concerns. From admissions, social worker, nurses & CNA’s they all keep me updated & show care for the residents.
September 2023
My mom, stage 5 Alzheimers, recently spent a week in Harbour Manor's long term care unit while waiting on a previous scheduled bed elsewhere. Is it a nursing home, yes, BUT I have a background in nursing and I was really impressed. The workers care and were very aware of what my mom was up to. Their activity program is "out of this world"(as compared to non existant promised activities at her previous Assisted Living location). Seriously, if you have a Loved one needing rehab or long term and they are pretty cognitive, but just need more physical help, I would definately reccomend this facility for socialization. Even witnessing other less cognitive residents, being changed because staff was interacting and not chatting down at the nursing station. As my mom was ready to be moved to her next location, the Harbour staff questioned the level of care she was scheduled to move to(LTC). They insisted a wait and an evaluation to see if she could fit better in the new location's memory care unit instead of Long term care. They were right and we are ever so thankful for their oversight in the short time they cared for Mom.
August 2023
Nice people, work hard to satisfy.
August 2023
I have nothing but praise for the prompt response, the ease of transition, and the care and compassion shown by the staff at Harbour Manor when it recently became necessary to place my brother in their facility. They made what could have been a difficult process seem effortless, and the care my brother is getting to this point is tremendous. I couldn't be more pleased.

Around Christmas time, my husband’s grandmother was admitted here. We were all so sad to not have her home for the holidays but the staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and happy. The nurses, the ADON, social worker, DOR and even the Administrator made a special effort to meet our family, hear our needs, and make her time special. We are forever thankful for the way you loved and cared for our Oma.
December 2022
I have been trying to contact them about there price increase for over three weeks but no one answers there phones or returns my calls. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There service is deplorable.
March 2022
Our mother was at Harbour Manor for about a year. We want to thank everyone there for taking care of her. We visited with mom every day and night. The doctors, nurses, staff, kitchen help, everyone were all so helpful. We were always notified of any changes in our mother's condition and changes in medicine. Thank you for helping us with our beautiful mother, Judy Turner. David, Denis and Doug Barker and Deanna Garling
January 2022
I am really disappointed with this facility. My mother was admitted here for rehab after breaking a hip and elbow. Upon her admission, there were no sheets on her bed, so I had to ask for sheets and I made her bed.Secondly, there was an evening where she didn't get dinner until 10pm.as well receiving cold food at other times I don t know how many times she put her light on for help and no one came. She was told not to leave her light on very long or they would get in trouble .

I cannot say enough good things about Harbour Manor and the Lodge! This team is the most compassionate caring team I have ever encountered. My grandmother has resided at HM for almost 4 years. She is so happy there. We are blessed to know she is taken care of when we can't be with her.
February 2021
Our grandmother has resided at Harbour Manor for several years now. She has received exceptional care. The staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. Anytime there is a change in her condition we are well informed and included in her plan of care. During the pandemic we have been overwhelmed with how the team has kept us in the loop. We receive weekly emails with updates and current guidelines set by the CDC. Grandmother loves the nursing team and speaks very highly of them. They go above and beyond to make sure her later days good. We rest easy knowing that she is happy and cared for. Thank you to the entire team for all you do to care for our seniors.
January 2021
Harbour Manor continues to give excellent service to the residents. Tina in rehab is very good. Everyone works together as a team and the love and happiness gleams within the facility. They really work hard to give dignity to the residents. I would highly recommend Harbour Manor.
October 2020
My mom spent 5 weeks in there and there were pros and cons. She is on a special diet and they could not seem to get it right. She continuously asked for coffee and never got it. So I bought her coffee and she heated up water in the microwave. The only conversation I had was with the speech therapist (great gals). She is a diabetic and takes insulin 4 times a day and in one day she only received it one time. I called to discuss this but the head nurse was busy and never returned my call. She was released and I never received a call informing me of the release, but the release papers states the family was happy and excited for her release. That is false and how would you know if you never spoke to me. She gets home and within 10 minutes falls and ended back in the hospital. They new of her falling that was the reason she was in there in the first place. She could not leave her room or be up walking around alone because of the falling issue but they still sent her home. The reason I have it a 3 stars she did have SOME good nurses, PT and OT. She will not be going back there again.

A great experience at Harbour Manor! The staff is so kind, welcoming, and helpful! A clean and warm environment.
July 2020
After my mom broke her hip she could no longer remain in her apartment alone. She has been in Harbour Manor for 9 months and the staff has been very kind. She tells me the food is good and they are attentive to her needs. COVID has added lots of stress but they have helped by setting up outside visits and FaceTime with family to keep us close, even though we are hundreds of miles away. I'm very comfortable with recommending Habour Manor to others.

My mom has been at this facility since last May and absolutely loves it! The food is good, the building is clean, and the staff are very friendly! My mom is usually a very picky person, so it gives me peace that she is so pleased with her new home (since I am unable to take care of her myself at my home). Whenever we have any issues, administration is attentive to our needs and does their best to solve our problems. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved ones to be taken care of in a safe, warm, and happy place!
