This facility is a very special place. Not only are the staff wonderful, helpful and kind, they take their time to explain how everything operates here and they go above and beyond with assisting Everyone. They work together as a team. We moved our mom from her condo to independent living at Mallard Landing after thorough research and its proximity to our residence. She went through a complete metamorphous, within one month! Mom is more vibrant and in better physical health than she has been in years. When she first arrived, mom had to rest at least twice on her trek to the dining room, she now makes that trip 3 to 4 times a day without stopping. Her prior eating habits could be best described as similar to a teenager, living on fast food. Mom now loves the home style cooked meals at Mallard Landing, especially the ability to give feedback to the cook. They have designed a system where if the residents like a particular meal, they circle it on the menu and tell the cook thru a suggestion box," Brilliant". In the morning she is greeted by her name and automatically given her preferred black coffee and cranberry juice, it's like being on a cruise ship(her words). She is spending very little time in her spacious studio apartment because she is playing cards, doing daily seated exercises, or going on excursions. We actually got shooshed the other day because she was too busy to talk, she was having fun! The staff is amazing! We call them our angels, Mary, Kristi, and Haley just to name a few. Their experience in understanding the seniors and how to make them comfortable and inclusive is stellar. The greatest compliment for Mallard Landing came from our mom, she said to us," I never want to leave here".

I have been in the community for a year and a half, it is home. The connections and amazing friendships that I have made I will hold dear to my heart. I love helping Krissy with tours and being a part of The Golden Ladies is so much fun. We are involved in the Battle Ground community as well and love going to the luncheons. My mother spent 2 years living at Mallard Landing in Vancouver, Washington. The facility was always bright, cheerful and clean. The staff were kind and loving. The residents were friendly and caring. During her final days her care was their top priority when they entered the room but at every interaction they made a point of checking to see if my sister or I needed anything. They managed a difficult situation in the most loving way imaginable.

My father moved in last year and he and I are so pleased with Mallard Landing. The staff is absolutely wonderful- kind, caring, patient and friendly. My dad says the food is very good and the facility has lots of activities for the residents. We are so glad he is living there. Would recommend

My mom moved into Mallard Landing about a year and a half ago. She had come from a family home which was so boring and did not give her any type of activity besides watching tv (she was asked to turn the tv volume down so the owners could sleep). At ML she has new friends, plays cards nearly every day, enjoys meals in the dining room, is encouraged to be out and about as much as possible. She has a small studio that we’ve decorated and she feels at home there. She is on many medications and they have been good about getting them to her in a timely manner. The facility is tucked into a residential neighborhood and the smaller size lends to a warm family feeling. I would recommend it to those looking for a smaller, friendly and loving environment for their loved ones.

I came in for a tour early January and WOW! was I impressed. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I was offered refreshments and asked to stay for lunch. The new executive director has lighted up the building. She was extremely friendly and caring. She was passionate about what she was doing, it wasn't just about getting my parents into the facility but rather we spent time talking about their needs and wishes. I was IMPRESSED! Love the facility, staff, and especially the new executive director.

My grandmother has been a resident of Mallard Landing for over 2 years. She LOVES living there!! She enjoys her independence in her roomy studio, which we were able to decorate cute and cozy for her. She participates in MANY of the wide array of activities and outings that are offered. The food is delicious, and plentiful, she often states there is too much to choose from! BUT- the MOST IMPORTANT thing to us is the care. Let me tell you- it is AMAZING!!! We are a very involved family, and are in the building often, I worked in senior living for 20 years, and have plenty of experience, and I can tell you- the staff at Mallard Landing is top notch! They really DO care! A couple nights ago, they threw the residents and their families a wonderful Christmas dinner. There was entertainment, delicious appetizers, a wonderful meal, and a chocolate fountain with all the fixings for dessert. All staff was on for the evening, and served us as if we were kings and queens! Tears were brought to my eyes when Santa arrived and the staff went to the Christmas tree and pulled out and delivered a PERSONALIZED gift to EVERY resident! The hard work that went into all of that shows the hearts of this staff!! Nadia is a very professional Director.....but don't let that professional appearance fool you- she is a ball of mush when it comes to these residents- she CARES, and as they say- it all trickles down from the top! If you are looking for a place for your loved one to move to in this season of their life- I would HIGHLY recommend Mallard Landing- my grandma means the world to our family, and we'd have her no where else!!
