My wife and I moved to the Atria at the Arboretum one year ago this August 3rd after we had been flooded out of our home of 30 years in Florida. Because our daughter lives here, we moved here to be close to family. We viewed five different properties before selecting the Atria. We didn't know what living here would be like. The best part is that it is a community of friendly people. We have made so many new friends. This community offers many things to do to keep you busy. You can join something or not, or join everyone at the happy hour with live music every Friday afternoon. Meal served in the restaurant are healthy and are always changing. (I only gained 10 lb, hahaha.) You'll not starve while living here! Also meals are the best place to sit and meet and learn about other residents here. Every person has unique story. This community is an active small village all under one roof. We can say we came here to live our healthy life and grow old together.

"The Atria is a Five Star experience from the moment one enters the building to the day one leaves. The atmosphere is warm ,comfortable and welcoming. The staff is efficient, cheerful, attentive and immediately calls you by name. Fellow residents are equally friendly and welcoming. and seem genuinely interested and concerned that your transition to Senior living is going well. One never feels alone or isolated. . My apartment was perfect .It had everything I needed plus a balcony bathed in the morning sun were I enjoyed my coffee and read the Daily Atria Bulletin. I always felt informed of all Atria events and classes. The entire Atria building is accessible and each space adequately meets the needs of its stated function ie the library, the exercise rooms , the ballroom, the art room, the mail room etc. The dinning room is elegant and spacious with great views and DELICIOUS food. Here again the staff is terrific. You are expertly seated you as you wish, either alone, with fellow residents of your choice or at tables were you can meet new people . It's a very comfortable situation and the atmosphere is happy and generous. Atria does a excellent job of keeping residents informed, celebrating holidays and, providing transportation for local shopping and appointments,. It is well located close to almost anything one would need. Without any hesitation I recommend The Atria as an excellent choice for Independent Senior Living Sincerely, Mary Levy

We moved my dad to the Atria from his condo a month ago. We have been nothing but pleased with everything! The people, the food, the room, the housekeeping, the ride services, the onsite physical therapy, on and on! Most of all, my 93 year old dad is very happy after resisting moving to independent living for many years. He loves his room with gorgeous hill country view and has already made many new friends and joined the bridge group. I feel my dad is safe and known and has found his new home. Thank you so much, Atria! P.S. Working with Sarah and the staff is the extra bonus for me!!! Amazing group of loving people!

We needed a place to move my Mom from her home in Galveston when her memory entered a decline. It was really an extraction. And we needed a safe, secure, loving place for her to land with a good community. We found exactly that at the Atria. I highly recommend them if you need stable ground for a loved one to be able to be around friendly people and get into a good routine with regular check ins. Much thanks to the Atria!

My mother moved in to Atria At The Arboertum in December 2025. Things were good initially, but quickly have changed when management started to change staff. The $500 price increase happened quickly in less than a few months after moving in. The indoor pool has been closed for several months. The quality and variety of food has also changed compared to just a few months ago. And the cleaning staff have also reduced services compared to what was promised when she moved in! All these changes in a short period of time is concerning, hopefully, changes will stabilize soon!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like this place truly deserved one. Moving my grandma was a really difficult decision for our family, but from the moment we walked in, we felt at ease. The staff have been incredible”kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat my grandma with so much respect and attention, and it’s clear they really take the time to get to know each resident. Every time I visit, she tells me how much she enjoys the activities and how comfortable she feels there.

I think Atria at the Arboretum is average in terms of service, I do think the facility is also average...we have problems that are on going. I do think we have spacious apartments. It may be that because we are older, we may have more frequent breakdowns...elevators not working, broken water pipes, fire alarms frequently going off but no fire? (sometimes these alarms go off more than three times within an hour....this is un-nerving I cannot remember one time since I have been here (over a year) that we have had a practice fire alarm for residents?? Personal safety is a real concern for me as I am on a walker and it would not be easy for me to try and use the stairs in an emergency!! Of course, I am not supposed to use the stairs, I am supposed to wait out on the balcony in case of fire?

We did a lot of research and thought this might be a good option for my mother. When we visited, we really liked what we saw. Sarah Larson helped us, and she was extremely helpful throughout the process. She really became an advocate, and wanted to make sure my mom was in the right apartment. So far we’ve been very happy with our experience and have found it to be a warm and welcoming place.

When I was looking for a place for my mom to move to, Atria was an obvious choice, being more of an upscale experience. The limiting factor was cost. But in working with Sarah, on staff there, she was able to get my mother some discounts and incentives that allowed her to move in very quickly and at a reasonable price. Everyone on staff has been fantastic, and made us all feel very comfortable, in the wake of my father's passing. My mother is excited to start each day now, with all the activities, and good food waiting just down the elevator from her amazing rooms. I can recommend Atria without hesitation. Steve R

I just had a temporary 30 day stay at the ATRIA SENIOR LIVING. It definitely gets 5 Stars. Everyone from the initial leasing contact, Sarah Larson all the way to the top with Atria Head administrator Marney Warren everyone is absolutely determined to deliver me my best living experience. There are several women who man the front desk over a 24 hour period. They remember everyone’s name and particular individual needs. Every few nights they call at bedtime just to see if everything is good. They are all good at empowering and connective small talk. Pick an activity and they are offering it. The place has a great parking garage but more importantly The Atria has approximately 40 guest parking spaces out front. The abundant guest parking is a huge deal and convenience for the multiple guests that come to visit this very beautiful facility. The facility is designated INDEPENDENT LIVING only. That is very important. Most are mixed with assisted. If you are semi healthy with active brain you want a facility designated at Independent Living. Joe 5 stars

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful senior living community in the hill country, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The setting is serene and picturesque, with stunning views of the rolling hills that create a peaceful atmosphere. The community is well-maintained, and the attention to detail is impressive. What truly stood out to me, however, was the wonderful staff. They are not only compassionate and friendly but also genuinely dedicated to enriching the lives of the residents. Their warmth and professionalism made the visit even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this community to anyone looking for a vibrant and supportive place for their loved ones.

My mom has lived at Atria since 2017. That means we have seen several Executive Directors come and go. The current executive director, MarNay, goes above and beyond for the residents who call Atria home. She is compassionate, thoughtful, and attentive, yet fun and energetic. Her ethics are above reproach. She is available and responsive to the needs of the residents and their families. She is a jewel and we all hope she remains in this position for a good while. I cannot say enough good things about the Atria. My mother recently stayed here for a trial visit and from the moment we walked in, she was treated with such kindness and care. Every single staff member made a point to introduce themselves and made my mother feel like she had found her new home. A special thank you to Sophie, who went above and beyond to ensure Mom felt comfortable and cared for. She truly has a gift for making people feel special. The facility itself is spotless, and the attention to detail is remarkable. There’s always something going on”whether your interest is in fitness, arts and crafts, or simply relaxing with friends, there’s a daily activity to suit anyone’s needs. My mom never had a dull moment! And the food? Absolutely delicious! The variety and quality of the meals made dining such a pleasure for her. What really stood out was how thoughtful Atria was in setting up my mom’s apartment. Every little amenity she could want was already there, perfectly tailored to her needs. It felt like they truly understood her and what would make her most comfortable. Thank you, Atria, for making this such a positive experience for my mother and our family. We are so grateful! Mom & dad moved there in 12, and she has stayed since dad passed away in 13. She absolutely loves it. The staff are hired based on wanting to be with the community, and it shows in the way they care about the residents. There are a variety of activities that residents can choose to participate in, including cards, games, arts & crafts, movies, water aerobics, exercise classes, etc. They also arrange for field trips to shows, shopping, etc. The dining room offers breakfast and a choice between lunch or dinner, with a variety of options every day. The facility itself is in good shape, and they work to keep it top notch, especially with new senior facilities being built all around. This was not the place we thought they would move to, since dad needed home health care, but residents are able to have home health come to them. All in all, this was the best place for them to move, and mom has never regretted moving there!

Mom has been living at Atria for eleven years and loves it! The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is excellent. There are many activities and events going on continuously to keep her engaged, physically active and entertained. She especially enjoys using dried flowers to make greeting cards, the water exercise in the indoor pool, the cultural presentations, and the happy hour musicians. I have lived here at Atria at the Arboretum for some time now and have nothing but great things to say about the staff. MarNay and her team go above and beyond to ensure all residents feel welcome and at home here in the community. There are many resident events at the property and all around Austin; the Engage Life staff does a fantastic job getting us out to cultural outings around town, trying new restaurants, and making friends with our neighbors. The maintenance staff (Steve, Scott, and Dimitri) are great: quick and knowledgeable on how to fix problems when needed. The front desk staff, namely Fran, Elizabeth, and Sophie have all gone above and beyond for us many times to help us well beyond their job descriptions. As a lifelong business executive who has seen his fair share of teams that are especially functional together, I find this particular staff to be a dream to work with and I’m so lucky to call Atria home.

Fabulous views and fair pricing and the balcony is amazing! My parents loved the Atria and thought of the place as a nice hotel where they retired in style and everything was done for them! They enjoyed going to the restaurant where everyone knew them by name and they could order from a menu with options that changed daily and beer and wine included! Cathy, the sales director was helpful and I believe honest in helping me to make an educated choice in deciding on the Atria. I did my homework and looked around. Carly at the front desk was always kind to my parents. Carly truly cared for all her residents and their well being. The Atria was always cleaned and maintained, inside and out. They always had someone watching the front desk and I always saw someone cleaning the hallways. My parents wanted an extra bar added in the bathroom and it was installed the next day! Marci, who worked at Halcyon, was nothing but the best! The in-home family service and kindness that was given was something I will forever be grateful for. Anything we needed, we were always helped or directed where to go. Although the Atria was Independent living, we were able to get medical assistance without leaving the room. One of my parents favorite activities was happy hour, which happened twice a week! Not only could I join them, they had beer and wine, wonderful hot appetizers and a live band! Everyone came down, clapped, sang and joined in the fun! Unfortunately my father passed away and my mother needed more assistance and I wanted her closer to me. I wish we never had to leave. The Atria is a rare find.

And the food is always homemade, fresh and the desserts are just scrumptious! The staff in the dining room is so attentive and caring. The maintenance and cleaning crews...are always keeping the place in tip top shape. You will not go wrong with the Atria

Beautiful living arrangements. Parking a bit lacking for visitors and a little navigation required to get in but worth the time to stay free of a spread of disease.

I visited a friend living here. It's clean and looked reasonably new. It's close to shopping but not on a busy street. My friend's apartment was basic, but nice. I didn't have a meal, so no comment on the food. They say 99% of residents and staff are vaccinated against Covid.

Atria at the Arboretum has been wonderful to my mom, who has recently sold her house in FL, to move into a beautiful apartment with a great hill country view, at the Atria to be close to my family. All the staff has gone out of their way to be very helpful, kind and welcoming to my mom. Particular kudos to Cathy Henry who helped my mom long distance find the perfect apartment for her, that she is loving living in. Some other shout outs to great staff members go to Carley, Tensley and the great maintenance team, delicious dining services. Karen, Flornice and others who have all made this move such a positive experience for my mom. My family is very happy and more than satisfied with the Atria at the Arboretum!

My 81 year old mother moved into Atria at the Arboretum in November 2020. Leaving behind the comfort of her own home in California, a lifetime circle of friends, as well as necessary COVID restrictions, made this change in her life very challenging. Director Scott Jones and his staff were absolutely wonderful in supporting my mom and helping her feel welcomed, comfortable and safe in her new home. Encouraging words, friendly interactions and thoughtful gestures such as offering mom's dogs treats, whenever they pass the front desk, are simply standard practices at Atria.

We have been here a couple of months...so far so good. I’m really liking it. Close to everything. Charming compatible people. Plenty of things to do or not as you choose. Great views of the Texas Hill Country.

5 Stars across the board! My 91-year old mother-in-law moved into Atria in the arboretum area Austin, TX in early June. The Atria team has made it the best possible under the difficult COVID19 pandemic. Great care and very responsive. Scott Jones took the time to meet with tenants to get their feedback after he started. He and team are very tenant-focused and have gone above & beyond. We look forward to the many amazing activities that are offered to resume once things return to the new normal.

Everything you would want for yourself or loved one. The food is fabulous, and the staff is wonderful! Everyone is happy and attentive to your needs. There are many activities, although some have been challenged with the COVID19, the residents can hardly wait to get back to normal activity schedules. The residents are very welcoming and helpful to new friends. It's Club Med at Atria at the Arboretum.
